This property has renewed my faith in motels after experiencing poor results at 3 or 4 other properties on my trip.
The staff were terrible. At the reception, we didn't get a " hello" even after volunteered one. The first words items by the receptionist who had her mouth full of food was" name?" The gym had terrible equipment, with sticky, dirty buttons on the treadmill. Breakfast was the first I have ever had in a hotel that includes breakfast: no fruit at all, no unflavored oatmeal or any cereal other than kids ones, and no black tea. There was an empty box of black tea bags so I went to the reception asking if they had some and both ladies just repeated: black tea??? No! First time we have been unhappy with this hotel chain

Mattress was awful.
We have stayed here for many years as we visit family in Effingham. I am a little disappointed as we had to go get our own towels, coffee & sit trash outside the door. In other words, on multi day stays, we had no housekeeping. This is not a cheap hotel & I expected better service.
Rooms nice but beds need to be replaced.ours was very lumpy. Outside needs more maintenance & cleaning around the entrance ways.

We are moving my husband’s parents to Tennessee…and this is a half way stop coming from northern IL. We booked our stay on the drive here…and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome we received, as well as the comfort, style and cleanliness of our rooms. Thanks for making this moving transition a little more positive! We will be back!
Great hotel. Comfortable bed. The swimming pool water was warm. Clean. Good breakfast.

Clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed. Great location close to the interstate and to local attractions. Close to food and gas. I would absolutely stay here again.

They have an okay breakfast and also drink hour. The staff was nice and the room was great. We will be making this our permanent stopover on long drives between Kansas and Ohio!
Laundry services listed need to be more specific that it does not have independent washers/dryers
Very clean and spacious room with a chair. Breakfast was good and when we arrived we were treated with snacks and drinks. We would stay again.
