from checking in till departure this was a wonderful experience nothing was too much trouble the complimentary Shortbread and sherry in the room was a lovely touch bed so comfortable and facilities as good as a quality hotel was a business trip for me but will use again both for business and pleasure

A building haunted by a grander past. An ex hotel, the once dining room now an empty space, a pushchair parked in one corner. Apart from a cleaner, apparently just one full time staff member filling receptionist, cook roles. Nice enough, clean room. But a hint of previous occupants' sweat about the pillows. Cheap sausages and salty bacon for breakfast. A cheerless place.

Lovely stay

Very comfortable, good value, a lot of charm, convenient location, away from the hustle and bustle but a short easy bus ride into the downtown area (buses come all the time and you can pay with credit card 1.9 pounds each way).
