Excellent Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Parliament House Hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in an excellent location. It is within a 10 minute walk of the Waverly train station. The room was clean and inviting. We had a room on the 5th Floor and had an excellent view of the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Elevator was out of service. Bathtub glass "half wall" was inadequate to prevent water from spilling out into the room. Bath towels were too small -- and the lack of small face cloths was annoying -- and staff acknowledged they receive requests for them all the time!!

This was a very nice hotel. Bed was comfortable. No air-conditioning. Lots of stairs. Good location and access to tours and dining. Wish they would have had fans in the rooms. The fridge didnt seem to cool anything. Breakfast was pretty good.

Great location to center of town - room was super - it was a very warm day in Edinburgh, and the lack of air conditioning was noted.....

Very nice location and a good spot. A little loud at night and early morning - you are very close to a heavy traffic area with a lot of people using the transportation system for work. Beds are so firm. If you're a walker like me, the bed made the soreness so much worse. Otherwise a very convenient walk to most things you'd want to explore as a tourist and not too far from some great food off the beaten path.

Unfriendly check-in, horrible parking arrangement

The staff was very unfriendly. When we were checking in he offered us water, then asked for an extraordinarily expensive fee for water. If it's not complimentary, why to say "May I offer you some water" Parking is extremely problematic, you have to come to hotel, book the parking and entrance cannot be done immediately, it's earliest for the next half hour window...

Loved this hotel! The rooms were great and had a cute theme and nice amenities. Bathrooms were nice and had a good sized shower. The beds were comfortable and there was space to open bags as well. The staff was nice and very helpful. There are cute restaurants near by as well. I would stay here again!

Really super hotel, will stay again. However, some staff at breakfast were not well trained. Rather brusque, no idea how to serve at the table. Banging plates down on the table, collecting plate from the table by leaning over from one corner to another. Also housekeeping excellent on 3 days, poor one one. Will definitely stay again but only had breakfast there on one day due to the poor service
