This is a fun hotel in a great location. Staff are nice and helpful. The room was small but I was only 1 person so it was ok. Would have been tight with 2 people. Bed was comfortable...fairly hard which I like. Now for the bad....my room had clumps of hair and dust on the floor when I arrived. It had clearly not been cleaned well. The wood floors were great though so I could run a few towels around and wash it up. The tub is very deep but there are no grab bars to get out. I was worried every time that I would slip. The only thing to grab is the towel bar which is not strong enough and is HOT! The kettle plugs into the wall behind the desk but you can't close the curtain if the kettle is plugged in. The safe requires a key but the previous guest had lost the key so I had no safe. They did offer to put my passport in the hotel safe but I declined. The sink is very shallow so it's difficult to fill the kettle up in it. The shower handle is on a sliding bar that kept slipping down on its own. The coffee cups are so shallow the tea bag barely fits in it and they have handles you can't hold. My room faced an atrium of an office building which leaves it's lights on all night and although I had a blind on the balcony door, no blind on the long window so the room was light all night. Breakfast was included but the choices were small. For a vegetarian I believe my choices were limited to french toast or granola. Sweet and sweet. Delicious though. So, i did like the hotel but there are problems. It was not cheap but then it was during the fringe so prices were probably inflated.

Myself and my friend stayed here for 2 nights and we were looking forward to staying in the hotel as we popped in last year and it looked so nice from the outside and what we seen inside (apart from the rooms) we just expected the rooms to look even nicer and didn't give It a second thought so we went ahead and booked it at £460 for our entire stay (2 nights) - we were so disappointed when we went in to the the room it was small- not been dusted correctly - the dust on the NOT working telephone was terrible and was not expecting dust and dirt - we had a few problems at 1st which all got sorted promptly and as a good will gesture gave us one morning breakfast free as it's not included in the price which was hard to believe considering how much it cost us to stay there (£10 extra EACH NOT INCLUDING TOAST)- the staff and food though we felt were faultless but the room was a massive let down WE expected some thing much different more lavish/luxurious - we won't be back

Me and my boyfriend stayed for one night in the Billy Connolly room! We couldn't fault it! Perfect for the two of us and had a nice spacious bathroom. We enjoyed drinking in the bar and would like to try out the restaurant the next time! Had An amazing stay and will definitely be back!

Stayed here for 2 nights and was very pleased with this little hotel. Our room was small but nicely decorated and clean with free bottled water, robes, slippers, tea /coffee and a choccy teacake everyday. Great location also with a gorgeous bar with quick professional service. We paid extra for the Scottish breakfast each day which again tasted great and of good quality. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family if visiting Edinburgh.

We chose the Angel's Share for lunch during the last week of the Festival: we were looking for somewhere quiet with tables outside (it was actually sunny that day!). This super little hotel/restaurant is at the West End of Princes Street, not far from Frasers and is well away from the crowds and crowded eateries. We had lovely food, very fresh, excellent wine and the service was quick and charming. Ticked all the boxes and will absolutely go back to eat and quite fancy staying in the hotel also.

Bed & breakfast at Angels Share Hotel was part of our trip to Edinburgh along with the Royal Military Tattoo. A great central hotel, positioned at end of Princess Street with good access to all the surrounding bars, shopping areas on George St, also the Royal Mile & Castle. Checked in & arranged our car parking at NCP Castle Terrace (ask for a discount card from Angels Share bringing the 24hrs rate down to £12 instead of £28) Great deal on parking "Well done" We were given the Sharlene Spiteri (I love Texas) room. Small but well furnished & with a large ensuite (Be careful of the office across the way, it has the room in full view). Comfortable bed, mini bar & all usual accessories. My only gripe was breakfast wasn't included, in what I would say was an expensive overnight stay (I understand it was the Tattoo & the Fringe). It was a very good breakfast, but at an addition extra charge even for the toast. The staff & service was excellent. Can definitely say I would stay here again & recommend the Angels Share Hotel for its style, service & location.

The hotel sits just off the west end of Princes Street so is very central. Reception is a small desk in the Lounge bar. There is a small lift to all floors but the lift buttons were a bit tempremental and didn't always register that the button had been pushed. The rooms are named after Scottish celebrities. Our room was well finished with a comfortable bed but was a bit on the small side. There was a fridge and mini bar in the room. The bathroom was more spacious and well finished but spoiled by a poor shower, nice hot water but no pressure. The lounge and bar are well finished with lots of celebrity framed photos. The breakfast was fine. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. A lovely hotel for one or two nights.

Spent two nights here. Staff were very helpful on arrival, they were able to recommend places to eat and things to do. The room was awesome, nice decor and decent size. Good location. Will definitely be back

A one night stay was a pretty good experience. Each room has the name of a prominent Scottish star from the arts or sport. That room then has a wall sized picture of the individual. I am told the Ewan McGregor room is worth a look see! My room was small, quiet and very comfortable. Dressing gowns and slippers. Heated towel rail with good quality towels. The shower over bath managed to convert the space into a very wet room! There is free wifi but it didn't work in my room and you need a different wifi address for breakfast. Somewhat frustrating. Location at the end of Princess Street is terrific. For whisky lovers the bar is phenomenal

Stayed at this Hotel to celebrate my wifes 70th Birthday a visit to the Edinburgh Tattoo and the Edinburgh Festival. The Angels Share is in a ideal position a short walk to the Castle and on the corner of the famous Princes street with all those lovely shops my wife loves to visit. Angels Share Hotel has one of the most inviting bars and restaurants with it lavish décor and lighting and 200+ whiskies, cocktails, beers on offer. The Restaurant offers a excellent menu and the food is well presented + good choice of wines, staff are excellent very friendly we had a great time with them. Our room 305 lovely room with a court yard view, great room deco good choice of colours and 2 drinks bars one with spirits and wines one chilled with beers iced waters good choice. We really loved the Angels share and the staff that made our stay so memorable, thank you all. (Monday 7th August to Thursday 10th August)
