Holyrood Aparthotel

Was fair value for money in a good location and the staff were very helpful and well informed.

What a great deal this place was! And very centrally located for the Royal palace etc. Continental Breakfast was super too. And if you are looking to save even more money, you can cook or store luncheon items in the fridge. And there is a washing machine, so all and all a great place.

This would be an excellent property if you were staying for a longer period and wanted to be able to cook etc. Apartment style. They need to prohibit smoking. That’s the downfall.

Booked a large 2bedroom apt. It was very spacious with two baths, a separate living room and kitchen. Great location right by museum of Edinburgh and across street from canongate Kirk. Less than ten min walk to holyrood palace and parliament, and probably ten to fifteen minute walk to the mound, national gallery, etc. Also about 2 minute walk to a tesco for groceries, etc. overall very nice. Only small complaint would be that the carpet, etc wasn't in the greatest condition but no big deal.

Good if you are staying for a couple of days. Lots of space but could use updating. Two bedrooms and bathrooms , kitchen, dining area and living area. No air conditioning but does have a washer dryer. If you want to park there you should reserve parking in advance.

This place was great! It is like a studio apartment complete with a washer/dryer. The location is amazing! 5 minute walk to the Royal mile, and to the Holyrood park, yet is tucked away on a quiet street. You can easily walk to all of the main sightseeing spots, from the Holyrood Castle all the way to the Edinburgh Castle. The Holyrood park is beautiful and provides stunning views of Edinburgh. If you have a car, parking needs to be coordinated ahead of time with the hotel, otherwise there is a parking lot a couple of blocks away for 17 pounds a day.

It was like staying at a time share condo. Very convenient in location, facility. We cooked our own breakfast and dinner.

I checked in the hotel late at night and things went smoothly, however I couldn't see the wifi network at first, then finally got on but seemed to struggle doing even the most minimal thing (like getting my emails) I had several hours worth of online meetings to attend and really needed dependable internet, so I spoke with the front desk staff first thing in the morning. It became apparent that they simply don't have a hotel-worthy network, it's a single routeur in the manager's office. As a guest, you basically don't have internet access, no matter what they say, I tried at several hours of the day and from various points in the hotel, the connection is so slow that even loading the homepage of google.com can take several minutes. And there's no "premium internet" option or anything (I would have gladly paid for it), this is basically false advertising, this hotel simply doesn't have internet for guests. I've been to third world countries and I know internet isn't always fast when you travel but this is simply shameful. I spend 30% of my time traveling and in the past 5 years this is the only time I would simply say the hotel doesn't really have internet. (No wired connection eu I've had to spend hours in the lobby of a different hotel for my online meetings, I wish I simply had stayed at that other hotel instead.

Hotel has parking but only a few spots so book early. Great location with grocery store nearby to stock kitchen :)

This is one of the best place I've ever stayed. people here r super nice, room was clean and cozy. u can even cook if u like in the room. I will definitely come again!

Slightly off the beaten track but still central and well located. Very spacious, and, best of all, quiet. No AC, but this turned out to be unnecessary.

We know the place, perfect location, cool Stuff. Were not disapointed. Will come again, for sure.

I would recommend this hotel for the following reasons: 1. Communication was excellent. E-mail responses were prompt. Requests were dealt with without any hassle. 2. The rooms were clean and adequately furnished. Bathrooms had enough space. (We had 2 bathrooms in our suite.) 3. Location is excellent. Many bars and restaurants nearby, not to mention the sites and stores for grocery and souvenir shopping. If I would nitpick, I'll have to say one minor thing. The carpets in the floor and rooms could use some shampooing and cleaning.

I really liked the space and comfort of the apartment. It was missing a few things such as an alarm clock and a toaster. The staff was very nice and the location was great. The decor was a little dull but it was nice to have all that room. There is a small grocery store around the corner and it's just steps from the Royal Mile. I would stay there again.

Hotel is located walking distance from all we needed for 4 days, including Castle, Holyrood Palace, Parliament, Princes Street, trains and more. Used the provided under car park. Comfy beds. Super to have kitchenette - with Tesco food just around the corner.

Perfect for our situation - parents travelling with 20-year-old daughter in college. Loved Edinburgh.

Great location, short walk to the the royal mile. Easy to get to all tourist attractions. We rode hop on/hop off bus, which comes along the royal mile. Very clost to shopping and restaurants. Only thing that was bad, was hotel did not provide me with non-smoking room (room wreaked of smoke smell, which irritated my cold) as I requested when I made my reservation and they did not put us near the friends that we arrived with, who did have non-smoking room.

We did a lot of site seeing and the hotel's location made it perfect. We enjoyed our mini vacation and hope to go back again.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room was equipped with almost everything one would need. Location was perfect for touring the Royal Mile.
