checked in late thought it was very nice and clean, person at front desk very welcoming slept past breakfast so not sure about it . beds were comfortable room was quiet no problems at all liked location.
Since we spend a lot of time on the road, my husband and I have an objective to stay for under $100. With tax etc this hotel fit our needs adequately. Very clean spacious room, nice large king bed, fridge, microwave, and quiet. So quiet we actually overslept! Note that there is no elevator (but only 2 floors) and the ice maker is only on the first floor because there is a coin operated washer and dryer in its space on the second floor. Breakfast was adequate but we're not fussy as long as it's free. All in all a good stay.
I believe this used to be a Comfort Inn. The hotel is a little dated, but was clean, comfortable & reasonable. The staff was helpful & courteous. Standard breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast area was absolutely spotless! Very clean. You can tell the staff care about their job.
Stopped with a friend and his grandson on the way back from Oklahoma. The grandson wanted to swim so we stayed here. Indoor pool was inviting. Everything was great and they have Texas shaped waffles for breakfast!
This is really a nice quiet place. They have remodeled lately. The bed was really comfortable. The people who work here are really nice. There is plenty of parking especially if you have a trailer like we always do.
Smooth, friendly and professional check-in on a weekday. This is an older hotel but in good condition and a good value. Our room (101) was clean, in very good condition, had all the normal room items, and everything worked. We were comfortable and slept well. There were plenty of electric outlets for our devices. The TV worked well and had a good selection of channels. The breakfast was the average fare, it was good, and the well laid out so it was not congested. The area was clean, had plenty of tables and was well lit. Good coffee and good cookies, apparently available 24/7. The parking lot was not crowded and there were multiple entrances into the building from the parking lot, although some doors were noisy. Overall a good value and well located on the main drag through town. We are a 70 year old couple that travel a lot.
My son, his 3 year old daughter, and myself were heading home from Colorado and she needed out! I've stayed in Dumas before so we stopped in. The rooms were clean, neat, and updated. The staff was friendly and breakfast was the usual hotel food but it fills the empty tummy. Price is good too.
Our first time staying in Dumas after passing through here for years. This was just an average place to stay. At check in the young lady was very nice but as she handed me my paperwork and keys to room 122 I noticed that I had a "Mobility Accessible" room, as they called it online, given to me. I told them I didn't need a handicaped room and didn't want one. They said that was what I signed up for and they could not change it since I picked it online. It was the first King, No Smoking room that came up online so I picked it. My small error but their big error for not making a simple change. The front security door did not work and was easily pulled open without using a key at any time, day or night. The room was older and had everything you needed but smelled old and stale. The room air conditioning unit helped a lot. The breakfast fare was sparse, far less than a normal Comfort Inn and we were forced to watch CNN at breakfast. Ugh! Unlikely we will stay there again. We are a 70 year old couple who don't ask for much but pay attention to what we receive.
I requested a Non-Smoking room which I got. BUT when you walk in the hallway of the hotel you can't even breath the cigarette smoke was so thick. When we got to our room the cigarette smoke was in the room as well and it had a musty smell. The smell of cigarettes gives me a headache and I start sneezing not a good night sleep at all. The clothes in our suitcase had a cigarette smell to them. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom light made this really loud humming noise. I will never stay there again and if this is how all the Comfort Inns are I will never stay with them again.
My husband & I spent the night here traveling east. This Comfort Inn was newly remodeled, clean and very comfortable. The staff was efficient & pleasant. Breakfast was good, offering a variety of foods. Definitely good value for the rate. My only wish is that Comfort Inns everywhere were as nice as this one and the one in Manitou Springs, CO.
