Unique B and B. Had third story suite. Clean and large. Facility/rooms last updated + 40 years ago. Staff nice and accommodating. Just understand the mansion is old, needs updating but very cool.

Couldn't get 2 towels without argument from owner When we said we weren't eating breakfast there he said we could have them. Room was awful, wallpaper seams were taped, carpeting very old and uneven. Building was very old and crumbly on outside. We decided to leave. Owner kept trying to talk to me without my husband in the room. He called us cheap. It was unlike anything we've ever dealt with before!!!

Hope to return to this historic gem and town

Robert was very personable and friendly. He made the excellent breakfast. The fresh fruit, pastries, egg dish and excellent coffee were greatly appreciated! Cloth napkins, personal service was wonderful. We even had a Kuerig and snacks in our antique room. Location to downtown was great. We walked to all our sites and especially enjoyed the art show in the park nearby.

Great historical B&B

This is an historic B&B, it’s cozy and comfortable, like my grandmother’s house. The manager is extremely personable and helpful. Breakfast was at 8am, served hot with a wide selection of fruit, pastries, juices etc. Very much enjoyed my stay.

Our weekend stay at The Redstone was wonderful! The spacious room was perfect for two. It was great having the bathroom included with the room. We appreciated the large refrigerator and the snacks left for us to enjoy. The breakfasts, consisting of a hot dish and an amazing assortment of pastries, fruits, cereal and nuts were wonderful. Robert,the owner, was delightful and we loved hearing his stories of the mansion's history. We highly recommend The Redstone and can't wait to stay there again!

Clean but not what we expected

The building is slowly falling into disrepair. The outside looks like a dilapidated old mansion-not welcoming. The interior while very clean is falling into disrepair. All the wallpaper is falling off being held up by duct tape all over. Everything painted needs to be repainted-cracked, chipped, peeling paint. The curtains are insufficient for privacy. The owner was very kind, but there is an odd feeling no staff on hand but security cameras everywhere. Poor lighting due to missing lightbulbs gives an odd feeling to the hallways.

That would benefit with some simple landscaping. The inside was clean and the owner was very nice. The only thing that would improve the room is taking down the peeling wallpaper and painting the walls instead. Some carpet removal and minor repairs would make this hidden jewel in the rough beautiful!

Hotel rooms dated and dirty. Clear packing tape to hold up wall paper. Dust on all the furnishings. Cheap toiletries. Bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast was not good a hard biscuit sandwich and pre package cereals nothing special. Disappointing.

We had a very good experience at Redstone Inn. The innkeeper accommodated us very well even after we messed up about our arrival date. He was very friendly. He greeted us at the door and showed us to our room. We received an upgrade to a suite the second night that was awesome. All the rooms were clean and equipped with everything you might need. The breakfast was delicious and the eggs were prepared and served upon arrival in addition to continental breakfast buffet that had many choices. We also liked the location. We were able to walk to restaurants in area. In all, we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Robert is a very attentive host, friendly and service oriented. The building is really beautiful, but needs some TLC (ie wallpaper peeling, bed frame needs some repair). Gorgeous decor, historic with some Asian flare. Breakfast was wonderful, a mix of fresh fruit, pastries, juice and coffee, along with a plate of something hot - ham and egg on artisan bread. Soothing music and beautiful room to eat in. This hotel is close to downtown, easy walking to shops and restaurants, and the Fenelon elevator. Decent bed, shower, and a nice skylight in the bathroom. Good value.
