Great hotel Great location Friendly staff I would highly recommend Callaghans on the Green to anyone staying in Dublin

This hotel is located across from St. Stephen's Green and close to Grafton St.; An older hotel with charm and character. I could look out my window and get a real feeling for Dublin. Great location for those interested in Irish history of the Easter Rising. Valet parking would have been wonderful and that is my only negative. The room was comfortable and the decor understated and tastefully done. As an Interior Designer I notice finishes and fabrications and found this room quite pleasant. I had a very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel room that was very convenient from where all the fun is but bad services. I had requested early check in and was told it would be available, when I arrived it wasn't. The restaurant was mediocre, so definitely don't rely on it, but I must say, great coffee! Also, the internet is the worst and this was the kicker for me. It boots you off every minute or so and only works in certain parts of the hotel and not in others. Our room was definitely the part of the hotel where it didn't work so trying to text someone to meet up or send a quick email was extremely frustrating. Also if we came back mid afternoon to drop of shopping bags or change, our rooms weren't made up and the towels weren't changed. They wouldn't get to housekeeping until about 6pm, making it a bit frustrating if you wanted to get ready for dinner. Hotel staff was polite but when asked about the internet or that you forgot something and need it from housekeeping, they just smiled and started with, "unfortunately...."

The price was right for the location. The Fitz Williams was 150 more per night and only 2 min walk away. All the shopping and bars are a short walk away. 40 euro will get you to the hotel from the airport. Little steep but quick and easy and should be the last cab until you leave. Meeting spot for most of the tours is a short 10-15 min walk. Food at the hotel was good for me and more than enough there to fill up the tank until your ready to eat again. Overall good experience.

Excellent hotel wonderful friendly staff. We came back later than dinner service and room service one night and the staff happily made us a meal. Its a short walk to Temple Bar and Grafton Street. Highly recommended.

The location is fantastic for this hotel. Very close to shopping, restaurants, attractions and etc. Trinity college near by, along with Temple Bar. Bus and tram close as well. Breakfast was very tasty and the soup is good to. Some staff are more friendly than others. Bit of trouble with house keeping and the Do not disturb. Perhaps the girl was new or just didn't understand. Otherwise my experience was good.

O'Callahan's was an excellent place to stay in Dublin. The room was large and an excellent bathroom. It is located close to St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College and Grafton Street. The staff there was very helpful.

Staff was extremely helpful with everything (answering questions, booking taxi cabs, etc.). Very clean. Perfect access to downtown, I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, neat, and clean. The hotel is nearby a public garden, and a short ride from the downtown. The location was also convenient to breakfast restaurants, a nice burger place, and convenience stores. The street was calm. We had a wonderful stay.

This was a great hotel with access to popular sights in Dublin a short walk away. It's modern style seemed a good match for the energy level of the city. The only downsides to the hotel were we had to use multiple small elevators to get to our room and our room had a terrible view of a wall of the next building. Since we didn't spend much time in the room these were minor inconveniences.

While the hotel was in a great location and accommodations restful, it's a shame that at the end of the stay I get charged for a second time! When I booked on Dec 16, 2013, I paid for the room at that time ($573.04) via the travel booking website and even have my credit card statement and travel booking website account to confirm. However, the hotel still charged me since I didn't have these documents at my fingertips when checking out. Unfortunately, now I have to do a charge resolution through my bank unless the travel website can step in and rectify situation with hotel (whom I called upon returning from vacation to explain that I was double charged). Until now, the travel site that I frequently use has been a good website for booking travel, hopefully this can be resolved quickly.

We had a great visit and loved the property and staff!

Location, location, location! Friendly staff, nice rooms, can't ask for more.

A very comfortable stay but the hotel is starting to show signs of aging and it is falling behind at least in its bathroom maintenance. Even a small amount of black mold has no place in a hotel of this caliber. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is simply excellent.

Great location, large clean room, friendly helpful staff.

Good value and centrally located. The staff were very friendly especially the bartender Jieri.

This hotel is located in a perfect location for getting to all the sites around Temple Bar. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It would have been nice to have a lower rate for the Wifi but that seems to be the going rate in most of Europe. The staff was wonderful. We had requested two beds, but only got a room with one bed. Our stay was over St. Patrick's Day weekend, so it was really busy. To make up for not having the two beds, we were given a free buffet breakfast which was very good...thank you Diane Byrne , hotel representative, for offering this to make up for the reservation mistake. It was greatly appreciated, she is wonderful at customer service for this hotel.

The shower/tub only has a half screen and water would always run on the floor so it made the shower less relaxing always fighting to stay close to the wall to avoid splashing water. The room was clean and service was good. Unfortunately, you pay extra for internet (not like in the US). Breakfast buffet is 11euro on weekdays and 14 on weekend. Great walking distance to the action. No parking on premises.

We arrived early and the staff was nice enough to let us in early rather than lug our bags around until official check-in. They also advised us nicely on tourist info when we had questions. The cleaning of the rooms was particularly nicely good. Nice to have a coffee pot in the lobby in the morning. Because we went to many of the sites in the City Centre, the location was ideal. Also, a morning run in and around St. Stephen's Green satisfied my running addiction in a lovely way. The travel website indicated that mini fridges were in the rooms, but apparently they never have been; that was a disappointment, but not the hotel's fault.

We were very happy with our choice. Room was huge (we stayed in a Jr. Suite, got it for about 30% off regular price#. Location is great, a block and a half from the Hop on Hop off bus, about a 15 walk #we walk fast) to Temple bar area. Both nights we walked to and from Temple bar, also walked to Trinity College and of course all the pubs/shops on and near Grafton Street. The only negatives were the staff pushed their restaurant too much. When we asked were a cafe was nearby they simply said "we serve coffee. When asked where we could get food late they said "you can order room service" even though all they had late night was sandwiches. Also had to call a few times to get the front desk to answer. Minor inconveniences though, I would recommend staying if you want a quality hotel for a good price.
