Terrible service

I booked this apartment a while ago based on the location/cost/size. There was no information on the booking that we would be sent instructions about our check in in advance. We turned up at the specified address and there was nothing that indicated we were in the right place. The address given was a residential home and where the apartment was NOT where we thought we were booking. We tried to call the number on the booking but there was no answer. We spoke to Expedia who eventually got through to the right people and then when we called Christchurch apartment they only answered after the third try. Christchurch apartment also shifted blame onto Expedia about not being able to get in contact with me. Surely this is not the first time this issue has happened. There is clearly a simple solution that more information needs to be on the booking so that the people renting the place know instructions should be sent or to get in contact. Finally we got the correct information but when we arrived at the apartment, there was a faulty lock. It took nearly 45 mins to actually get into the apartment and again, we tried to contact Christchurch apartment but no answer, no response, no call back. I will not be booking with Christchurch apartments again. They made absolutely no attempt to get in contact with us or help us when there was a faulty lock but they were quite happy to take my money when I booked.
