Very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was small, but clean and the beds very comfortable. The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring the city on foot and directly across from Christchurch Cathedral. If you are not a fan of walking, everything was a short cab ride away also. We ate one night at the restaurant attached, nothing to write home about but decent food and friendly service. Con: no AC. It was quite hot and the windows in the room are open, but are latched so they can only be partially opened. There were directions (a little card) on how to use the AC in the room but it was not working. When I asked how to operate the AC they said that the building did not have AC to just use the windows. I found this quite odd. Why keep and/or put directions for the AC if they do not have it? Or did they simply not have it working at that time? Who knows. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and gave us maps and directions for getting around. A little pricey for the value, but comparable to other hotels in downtown Dublin.
Dublin is expensive, as is this hotel. However, it is a good location to serve as a base to see Dublin. I recommend researching a hotel near a hop on/hop off tourist bus stop as this one is. Time is of the essence when traveling, so, factor this in when you see the rates. This hotel's staff was courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was also very good. For lunch and dinner, prices were high - I'd grab lunch/dinner elsewhere unless you're dead-tired. When it's time to go, a taxi rank is conveniently just outside the front door as well.
It was the perfect location! I would book this again for location! We walked everywhere! Perfect spot for Dublin.
Our last 2 days spent in Ireland, we wanted a view of the fabulous church, what we got was a view of the holding bins in the inner courtyard and entrance to car park. I called the front desk, no answer. While they may be busy, someone could have answered and called us back. I went down stairs and spoke to the young man at the desk. The only option left was a double bed and a pull out couch. I was not going to sleep on a pull out bed. Nor was my traveling partner. The young man apologized, offered complimentary breakfast and a bottle of wine. No upgrade to an executive room. Plus there was a couple checking in, told they couldn't find their reservation for 3 nights and the gal magically found a room for them. Disappointed.
We found the hotel disappointing for the price. Great location but otherwise did not meet our family needs (2 adults and an 11 year old). It wasn't very comfortable or family oriented. The staff seemed junior and not very customer service oriented, very rigid and somewhat unfriendly. Breakfast at the hotel was good but our appetizers in the bar and then dinner in the restaurant was not. Limited amenities...there is no exercise room at the hotel and very limited common areas/lounge space except for the bar/restaurant. They wouldn't allow us bring in outside food to eat in the lobby/bar area since they serve food. Yet there was no other space available. They are located right next to an excellent take-out fish and chips place which we had to enjoy in our room. Just not a comfortable place to stay for a family that may need extra amenities/common areas or have the need to eat in when the kids are tired.
Great location. Easy walk to sights. Staff wonderful. Breakfast is really good and worth it. Hot foods and healthy foods.
Overall, we had a good experience. The breakfast buffet was decent. The room are okay, but nothing spectacular. For the price we paid, I expected them to be much nicer. That being said, the location is great. Right across the street from Christ Church Cathedral and within easy walking distance of the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College and the Temple Bar area.
We arrived from Canada around 6:30am local time, tired from our long flight. The front desk greeted us and had us checked in quickly and stored our luggage. While we waited for our room we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, we were pleased with the variety and the price. We did some touring to stay awake and were very surprised and appreciative to have our room ready for us at 10:30am as they knew we were very tired - the maid even came to turn down the beds so we could take a nap. We stayed for 3 nights, April 6-8, before moving onto another hotel for a dance competition. We decided to shorten our stay at the other hotel and book at Jury's again for another 3 nights, April 16-18 and my parents also booked a room as we had a great experience. For our second stay, we were able to request a room change with a better view and were accommodated without any hassle and had a view of Christ Church. Nothing but good to say about Jury's Christ Church and we would definitely recommend and stay again!
Having been to Dublin a few times before, I typically stayed on the outskirts of the city. For this trip we picked a centrally located hotel and it was worth it. The staff at the Jurys were professional, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. We had a car so we parked at the car park directly behind the hotel. Please note: there is a direct connection (door, walkway) from the car park to the hotel. It's either the 3rd or 4th floor of the Car Park (call the hotel and ask them). Save yourself the trouble and find a spot on that floor and walk directly into the hotel. I would absolutely stay here again.
This hotel was in a great location. It was close to everything, the churches, the Guinness factory, and the Temple bar area. staff was great and the room was great as well. There are a lot of guests as it is alarge hotel so there was a lot of noise. But other than that it was a great hotel.
Very nice hotel. Close to all the sights you would want to see
Close to many tourist attractions. Within walking distance to shopping, Temple bar, Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral. Great breakfast. Clean room, comfortable bed. Enjoyed a great stay with my children
Stayed with family for short visit to Dublin. Walking distance to many sites, shopping, and restaurants. Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast! Have stayed here before and it did not disappoint.
Centrally located. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and functional.
No worries here. great place to stay in Dublin. Would definitely stay here again whenever I go back.
staff especially at reception was very very helpful
We came expecting just an average hotel with the usual issues based on the reviews we had read. Much to our surprise it exceded our expectations in every category. First, we arrived early and they had a room that we had ordered available. The staff was very helpful in directing us to the destinations we were seeking, which were all in walking distance. The room was quite. They arranged an very early cab for us and printed out our airline passes for us. Just a wonderful stay and would stay there again when in Dublin.
Hotel is in a great location just minutes walk from just about everything. Staff was very friendly. Free WiFi was definitely a plus.
Jurys Inn is located across the street from Christ Church Cathedral. A lot of restaurants and pubs along Lord Edward Street. Would definitely recommend this place.
no heat in the room, then when I complained they bring a small portable heater which they seem to have plenty of. they are used to it. felt like a reverse max security prison. with 2 security guards always in front of entrance controlling access. they had multiple signs posted all over the entrance stating only residents can enter. made it feel like a max security prison. they will charge you ten euros for wireless. service sucked. the only thing possibly ok with this hotel is the location. luckily i was only there one night!
