Alberto is fantastic!

The hotel is what is expected of the aloft brand, but what stood out was the concierge Alberto! He was super nice, welcoming and made our 4yo feel super excited! Thanks Alberto! Keep up the great work! One thing that we missed was the complimentary drink as Hotels.com gold members! Our fault for forgetting it and not asking for it, but it should also be offered at check in like in other hotels.

The hotel is conveniently located--there were plenty of attractions and food spots that we were able to walk to! The neighborhood was lovely. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, one of them even waited with me when I was expecting my food delivery to make sure I was okay. The room was clean and the beds /bedding were comfortable.

Air Conditioning turns off in the night

This is a very well done hotel overall. Apart from the cooling, the rooms are comfortable and my room (428) had a nice view and was quiet. However, it seemed like the air conditioning was one of those that checks for people in the room, because it turned off when I went out (fine) and during the night (not fine). The windows do not open, so the air conditioning is very much needed to keep the room cool. Having it turn off overnight led to a poor night's sleep.

Enjoyed but not accommodating

Check in quite slow. Had to provide a preauthorisarion although the room had already been paid for. I wasn't allowed check in until this was paid. Embarrassing on the day as I wasn't paid as had to ask a family member to borrow the funds. Terms and Conditions said that the hotel reserve the right to charge and I kindly asked if they could agree to waive the preauthorisarion as they had my card details on file but was told, no!
