Room had dirty walls and counter wit food in the room

The front desk clerk, Jason was extremely rude and threatening towards my employees. Took their ids and credit cards away from there and screamed at them. We filed a police report against this place. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The Marvin Gardens property and hotel room was such a nasty filthy mess.!!!!!!. The sheets And linens were soiled and dirty. There was dirt and dust everywhere!!! The towels and wash clothes had hair all over them that we had not even touched when we got inside the room. It smelled Like mildew and smoke inside the room, like they just let someone have an short stay there and didn’t clean it afterwards. The sheets were wrinkled, messy, and out of place. They Don’t have a level of clean here or professional customer service!! because the 2nd room they put us in next was filthy too!! We had to pay for &45 worth of cleaning supplies to clean the room just so we could sit down to eat our meal!! You Can here people having sex through the walls and they have trash and garbage sitting right outside the hotel room. My partner took tons of pictures and we definitely plan on calling corporate headquarters! We paid $212 to stay for 2 nights. They would not refund us our money back for the 2nd night!! We complained to The front desk she called the house keeper out to our room. Housekeeping came in with a nasty attitude and “scoffed” at all the Dirty areas We showed her which wasn’t clean. She then told us “this Aint the Hilton” and that we should just except the squalor and filth they had to offer! Never ever again. Run for your life literally!!! Corona19 was all over that room!!! Save your money And go next door to the Red Roof Inn instead. Worst experience ever in life!!!!!!!!!!!!

Treated me so kind !! A very peaceful stay . Thank beautiful person that checked me in. I will be back !!!

Batteries in remote gone, bed made noises. But overall good stay, I would come back still.

The Beds are quite Old Style and the Maintenance was good. The Staff are really good. The Complementary breakfast is Not that great Just Cereal and few cup cakes.

The room had dirty lamps shades, curtains falling down and shower leaking.

The room was dark, it was hard to close the curtains, the top fell off of the heater control panel when I tried to adjust the temperature. When I turned on the TV at about 2 am, I got about 4 usual channels, then I got hard core porn. I stopped and turned the TV off after I went through 10 channels of hard core porn. I later learned that the hotel/motel has a bad reputation in the area.

I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for a couple of years now STRICTLY for the shower. Boy was I disappointed. The room was basic and smaller than I anticipated. However, the seemingly lost art of a refrigerator and microwave was a pleasant surprise. It also seems like this place is a hotspot for some interesting activity outside in the wee hours of the night. If you need a place to crash and your money is a little tight, this is the place for you.

Overall, this is a decent hotel. Good cleanliness, staff are reasonable. And obviously, a more affordable price than many other hotels in the area. For this price you cannot expect perfection, so just keep that in mind when comparing to other hotels. The things I liked: The bathroom was very nice, and so was the shower. And the rooms was clean, without any problems. The things I didn't like: The biggest issue for me was the slow Wifi. I needed to do some work, and had trouble downloading just moderate size files. To update like 100mb of mail, it took something like 10 to 15 minutes. The other issue was the magnetic card used for the room key. In 6 nights, I had to go to the front desk on 4 of them to get them to re-program the card. They are there 24 hours a day, so it was not a problem. But still, a bit annoying. Oh, and the bed was pretty soft. Overall though, I would say this is a good place to stay.

The room was ok. The only issue was the carpet needed cleaning. The bathroom and ac worked great. There needs to be an ice machine and vending closer to the rooms. The other issue was the breakfast or shall I say lack of. Some juice bread for toast and some small muffins. All in all its good for my needs.

I always stay here when I visit Detroit. They have a very friendly staff who are very helpful.

I booked this hotel after needing to acquire a room last minute for a business meeting. It is very dated and minimal. Pics make it look nicer than it is. It was a good deal and I didn't spend much time there so not a huge deal. They are trying to rehab the place room by room. I was put into a recently remodeled room and it was pretty nice. Small boxy typical motel room but newer interior. The bathroom was over the top however...one of the nicest bathrooms I've seen in a long time...all marble...jets all over the place in the shower....almost funny how nice in contrast to the aged facility!

The room was just a little strange though. It had powerstrips for 3 outlets, obviously wrong thermostat on AC/Heater and the fridge and microwave in the bathroom. Also, I never felt that it was actually fully clean. The bathroom floor and shower had visible mystery stains that never really went away even though I had 4 rounds of room service. The guest book on the desk was stuck to the surface via some old sticky liquid, someone spilled and it never got cleaned up.The room was supposedly non-smoking but as I walked in I could smell the old musty smell of smoke and the sheets/bed smelled the same way. The shower was nice though and the leather chair was pretty nice. The room was cheap and relatively better than other rooms in that price range so I can't knock it too bad.

It is a giid hitel just have minor glinches and it will be great

It was a bit of an adventure. Because they are doing major upgrades to the property it took three rooms before we got one that was ready for us to stay in. In fairness the work they are doing is very, very good. Once completed this will be a higher national chain level hotel. Nice floors and new carpets. Marble bathroom. My only real problem was the obvious lack of experience with running the p;ace while all this work is being done. The first room they gave us still had a steam cleaning crew inside the room as we got there. Everyone was very nice and it got handled but I wonder why the front desk didn't know what was all too obvious to us. The large van with hoses running up the stairs into what would have been our room was a big clue. I'd go back for sure. In a year or so when they are done.

Smoking room had very loud air conditioner, tried to call desk phone was broken, cord pulled out. No chair or ottoman and tv reception was terrible, had to move cable in order to get semi-good picture. Never addressed concerns with staff because of their attitudes and statement of no room changes or refunds.
