Matt and the entire staff were great, we kept them very busy helping 45 eager shoppers on our bus trip! They were all so friendly and helpful. This was our 8th annual trip to this hotel and everyone was planning for next year on our way home! The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast to start our busy day was perfect!
Nice and clean hotel. Room and the bathroom were clean and very comfortable. Hallways were also clean. Front desk people helpful with the smile on face. Breakfast was very good. I strongly recommend this place. RomanP
Excellent! Staff are AMAZING! Day staff, afternoon staff, night staff outstanding! Fresh cookies delivered to our room! I misplaced my phone and the night staff not only checked my vehicle for me, but brought it to our room with a smile! We stayed 4 days and 3 nights, we were sad to check out! Highly recommend this location!!!
Overall, a nice 1 night stay on a weekend. The updated room was clean and comfortable (except maybe the fancy toilet seat which was hard, creaky cheap feeling plastic) They were able to accomodate my request for a quiet room on the top floor as we were given a room at the end of the hall away from the elevator. Did not hear any hallway noise. Walls were a bit thin so could hear the neighbors conversation but fortunately it wasn't loud, disruptive. Did also hear a bit of road noise since our room's view was of the i-75 on ramp and highway. Breakfast was standard but appreciated the complimentary bottled water in the lobby. Lobby could use a face lift as it was kind of plain in comparisons to other HIE properties I've been too. If in town again, I would definitely consider returning for another stay.
I stay at allot of hotels but on my last Michigan trip, this one was the most comfortable. Best Pillows and Bed. I had the best sleep. I stayed at the Hampton Inn beforehand, which I have no complaints about but switched for the better rate and ended up dropping my phone in the parking lot. This Holiday Inn Express I found to have a better walk in rack rate than booking online with Expedia.
We loved our stay here!!! We had a upgraded room upon arrival which started everything off just wonderful! When we got in the room we were so happy! It was gorgeous, so much nicer than I had anticipated, and that toilet!!! Never had a heated toilet seat before, lol.. It was so nice to do some shopping and grab a bite to eat all within a few minutes walk from the hotel, I cannot wait to come here again, I will book this place and not even bother to check out any other surrounding hotels in this area, that's how much I loved it!
This was a typical Holiday Inn Express with a typical HIE breakfast. Staff was amazing and very friendly. The only mirror in the room was in the bathroom. Would have been nice to have had a full-body one somewhere outside the bathroom. Was told beds and pillows were new, but didn't find them very comfy. I would suggest an adjustment to the room doors so that they don't slam so loudly each time someone comes and goes. I know they need to be latched, but it was extreme overkill.
My family stayed here for a week while we were in town. We love the updates that have been made to the hotel. Updated exercise equipment (but I wish they have yoga matts), laundry facilities, and friendly service. Close to shopping (right across the parking lot) which is always a plus when we stay here. Rooms was great - beds were newer / comfy. 2min walk to the Crossings Mall and a 5min ride to the DTE for concerts. Free continental breakfast was a nice surprise as we weren't aware of this. Only complaint was no guest services info in the room - how late pool was open - nearby dining - etc. that you usually find in the room, but not a big deal for sure. Staff were super friendly and awesome to deal with.
The breakfast was like all the other Holiday Inn Express locations in the U.S. except there was no gravy for the country biscuits, the ironing board would not stand on it's own, but maintenance brought me a new one quickly, and there was some construction, but I stayed in a room that was refurbished and it was the best room that I ever stayed in at an Express property! So that was worth it. And the toilet! Wow! I know...TMI, but it was a luxury bidet with a seat warmer! A nice surprise! The staff were very nice, and friendly. House keeping were great! Overall, I would definitely stay there again! I liked the place. The few issues that I had were quickly addressed by the staff, and it really was the nicest Holiday Inn Express that I ever stayed at, and I stayed at a lot of them!
