Located in North Park Hill, this vacation home is within 2 miles (3 km) of sights such as City Park and Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The vacation home includes a kitchen, a fireplace, and a balcony.
#HollyHouse is a labor of love, from tattered decommissioned church to custom space, filled with visual artists from CO+beyond. #HH regularly hosts performing artists/events business mtgs.
#HollyHouse offers guests 5 bedrooms and a sleeping loft, plus additional queen beds, if needed. Please read this carefully to confirm you understand the space and please do not hesitate to message me with questions, as it is most important to me that you understand the space and that it suits your group's configuration and needs.
The primary suite is a large bedroom, lofted and floating above the main living space, with a princess balcony facing the mountains, a huge master bath with sunken tub, and a professional massage table. Lofted ceilings soaring above this Suite give the feeling of sleeping in a bird's nest, as you look outside to the 60' cotton woods just beyond.
Additionally, there are two main floor bedrooms, with new queen mattresses and beautiful art and appointments. Each of these queen bedrooms has a private half bath and shares an oversized jack/jill shower. Also on the main floor, there is an office that can be converted into a queen bedroom, upon request.
Above the 2 main floor queen bedrooms, there is another loft (ladder accessed) with an XL twin bed, couches and plenty spacious for yoga, with beautiful eastern light streaming in. I do not count this as a separate bedroom in the listing because it is ladder accessed.
Downstairs, there is a fifth bedroom with a walk in closet. This bedroom has designer furniture, some custom, which is not shown in the photos because it is new. There is also a full bathroom downstairs, updated after pictures shown were taken.
The downstairs also includes a large media room with a big screen tv. The media room has long vintage modular couches and two very comfy queen beds (set up upon request), making for total beds/sleeping spaces of: 1 king (primary suite), 5 queens (3 bedrooms and 2 supplemental in media room), 1 XL twin bed (ladder accessed loft) and comfy couches in media room that can be easily configured to accommodate sleeping.
The large main floor kitchen has a huge island with 6 comfy stools, two large sinks, a coffee bar, gourmet appliances (dacor gas range, liebher built in fridge, bosch dw) and a walk in pantry with all you need for primo entertainment and family meals! An 8 part kitchen docuseries (Sacred Kitchen, Food is Thine Medicine) was filmed at #HollyHouse and the film crew, production team and culinary artists from around the world raved about the ease of working and filming in this amazing kitchen. The cookbook produced along with this docuseries is in the kitchen if you'd like to take a look!
The common spaces throughout #HollyHouse are delicious, inside and out, and provide amazing space for game nights, movies, chats by the fire pit (7' gas), cooking and eating together, inside and out. Inside, there is a solid walnut table for 10, a game table and multiple seating spaces with high end and designer vintage furniture (e.g., Adrian Pearsall Gondola sofa, iconic Lane and RH pieces). Rugs, artworks and more that I have collected from around the world are throughout.
The yards are professionally landscaped, with plenty of room for lounging in hammocks, custom brazilian ipe wood bench, inspired by the Highline Trail furnishings (NYC), sculpture and dining table/chairs. 10 can easily sit around the 7' gas fire pit, across from the open kitchen. There is also a huge gas grill and a heat lamp.
Above the garage is a mostly unfinished ladder accessed observation deck, shaded by a 100+ year grand american elm. The deck looks towards the City skyscape and mountains and is a beautiful place to watch the sun and moon rise and set!
While you are only a stone's throw form downtown Denver, sitting in the North yard, you are in a private oasis, surrounded by 60-100 year old trees and over 18 trees planted over the last decade that define the professionally landscaped yards
#HH sits on a sunny oversized lot in the Historic Park Hill neighborhood, with plenty of surface and street parking. Park Hill is immediately adjacent to City Park to the west (largest Park in Denver) and a quick downhill bike ride to downtown Denver, on the many e-bikes and scooters about.
Park Hill has multiple cafes, wine bars, microbrews, specialty markets, and some of Denver's top new restaurants. There are also pocket parks, rec centers/pools, and all the basic retail services in small lovely neighborhood pockets of retail off Cherry, Krameria and Fairfax Sts..
Just to the south of Park Hill, vintage shops, numerous music venues, an independent film theater, the iconic Tattered Cover bookstore, WaxTrax, restaurants/cafes and markets line storied Colfax Ave. (of On the Road, J. Kerouac, fame).
#HollyHouse is a perf. location for short walk or ride to local eateries--5-15 min to the best of Denver
Hi-speed internet/work from home, ask about pets, events+ commercial uses. #HollyHouse has it all. Beautifully appointed, down to the square inch, inside and out. Reimagine your self here!
Guest access This listing is for the entirety of the primary home. There is a separate 2 bed/1bath/full kitchen/w-d mother-in-law apt. with entirely private entrance and private yard on property that can be made available for larger groups, and is not made separately available to third parties. The yard for primary house and mother in law apartment can be joined if MiL apt is added to reservation.
Other things to note Pets, events, and gatherings that exceed 6 additional guests, and commercial uses, including for commercial photog/production, must be approved in advance, including any associated additional fees, without regard to instant book.
We look forward to hosting you and making sure #HollyHouse is all you need for your intended visit, whether for visiting family and friends, celebrating life's mile stones, business meetings and retreats, commercial uses, and beyond!
ps. The most reoccurring feedback I get from guests is that #HollyHouse is even more spectacular than its presentation on line! Beautiful new furnishings and vintage delights fill the spaces that were not present when photos taken!

The pictures cannot do this home justice. It is an architectural gem with a very comfortable, homey feel. I had despaired of finding a good place to have a memorial service for my father, but then I found this place, which is both a church and a home. It is beautiful, comfortable, artfully decorated, and incredibly well equipped. Perfect for a family of cooks. The space is surprisingly large. Parking is easy. And I have never had better communication from a host! I can't say enough!!

Front porch – one light working, one light out (arrived when dark)Front porch – rug worn and filthyKitchen – no utensils – had to use a fish turner to turn egg sandwich and make scrambled eggs.Kitchen – ice maker broken, no ice bag was left in freezer as promised.Kitchen – rugs filthyKitchen – cabinets falling apart, hard to open drawers with wood falling off.Kitchen – no useable blender to be found. Tons of parts, none of which fit together with lids.Kitchen – no paper towels left out, bought some and then owner told us where to get them out of garage.Kitchen – drawers dirty and spider decided to crawl up my arm while I was cooking.Kitchen – One of faucets is loose – needs maintenance.Kitchen – Oven disgusting/dirty/horribleGreat Room – Dark – There are three main chandeliers and all of them missing bulbs.Guest Bathroom Main Floor – No Kleenex in entire house – Faucet loose- bathroom bulb burned out.Loft shouldn’t be advertised as a room as you must go through a “bedroom” to access a vertical ladder to get to the loft. Not accessible unless you’re willing to climb up a ladder attached to a wall. Maybe my grandkids can….Bedroom by patio door – missing bulbsDownstairs area – the ONLY bathroom needs maintenance. Grout moldy, rubber nonslip mat moldy – no tissue or cups – no nightlight.Advertised as Bedrooms – this VRBO is one giant open room with side areas turned into tiny sleep spaces with no closets. Lovely house located in a quiet neighborhood. Very convenient to all of our activities and great communication with the host. As others have commented, the design is unique, with most bedrooms not actually being completely closed off. That might be a concern for some, but it worked for our group of really good friends.

Super comfortable house beautifully appointed. Nine guys met for fantasy football draft weekend. Everyone had a bed, plenty of space to spread out. Gas fireplace and nice seating in outside areas felt larger than they are. Pingpong and pinball in garage a bonus. Good parking. Walking distance to a few restaurants and bars. Valissa was easy to work with and very accommodating. Overall 10/10.

In town to celebrate a graduation
This is a gem of a property. A converted church lovingly transformed into a cool, funky home. Decorated with beautiful artwork from around the world, presumably from the owners' travels, it has a great vibe. Our favorite spot was the backyard patio. Because we were visiting during a heat wave, it was a perfect respite in the mornings and late afternoon/evenings because it was well shaded.

Great place in Denver. Host was very responsive. House is extremely clean and well stocked (extra toilet paper, napkins, spices, laundry detergent, condiments). Kitchen is awesome to cook in. Beds are very comfortable. Kids loved the ping pong table and hammock. Neighbors are nice and quiet. Great house. Great location. Close to 70. Would definitely stay again. There were lots of little extra touches that made it so comfortable. It was perfect for our family plus grandparents.

Perfect Location for Relaxing getaway with friends
We had a great stay at Holly House. Our group was 6 men in their 30s and we felt the house is perfect for that. We each had a private room and bathroom. The bedrooms on the main floor do have open ceilings which limited privacy some, but this wasn’t a problem for our group. Might not be a good option for multiple couples or a group that doesn’t know each other well. The kitchen is setup well and stocked with enough basics so we were able to eat several meals in the house rather than go out. The Host was very nice and check in/out processes were smooth. The patio with a fire pit was a perfect spot to catch up and enjoy the great Denver weather. We would recommend this location and would visit again if we find ourselves in Denver.

A unique and wonderful property
What a charming and interesting place this is! This converted church is wonderful for intimate gatherings. It's beautifully decorated and full of thoughtful touches. There's a large and well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of room for dining and socializing. Be aware that the open floor plan does mean some of the sleeping spaces aren't soundproof or fully private. But for families or other close-knit groups, this shouldn't be a problem.
The location in the Park Hill area is reasonably convenient to everything (20 minutes to downtown, 25 minutes to airport) and there are many dining options nearby. It's a quiet neighborhood where you won't be bothered by outside noise.
Our host, Valissa, was very helpful throughout our stay and stayed in constant communication. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
