Comfort Inn Livingston

Highly frustrating experience

I chose the Livingston Comfort Inn because it was a good halfway point between our home in Texas and my son's university in Georgia, where he is beginning his freshman year. We left Texas on the morning of Sept. 7th and arrived at the hotel that evening. I was baffled that they showed no reservation for us. Further checking revealed that I had made our reservation for the 25th of Sept. rather than the 7th. My online browser had refreshed and returned to the default date of the 25th without me knowing it. It was a non-cancel-able, non-transferable reservation. I paid again for our room that night. My credit card statement showed that I was charged twice for my one night stay. This began a series of phone conversations with the General Manager of the hotel and Orbitz. I assured the hotel that we would be glad to stay there numerous times over the next four years while my son is in school in Georgia, if only they would refund one of my payments. They continued to refuse. Orbitz tried as well, but the hotel refused to budge. I will not stay at this hotel again, but will choose another in my future trips through this area. They have no desire to please their customers. They took two payments from me for a one night stay, and continually refused to make it right.

Best Western Plus Two Rivers Hotel & Suites

VERY TIRED GUEST

The hotel front desk people were so very kind and Ms. Nettie’s cooking is the bomb! Rooms were very clean and spacious! Why am I mad and gave a 2? The house keeping lady called my room 3 times to see if I was still there once at 8:30am she said she had the wrong room number so in the hall when I went to eat she stopped me and asked for me to take the do not disturb sign off the door when I left. I said no problem I knew she was the one that called from earlier, so I get back from breakfast lay down check out isn’t till 11am, she calls again at 915 and then at 1005 asking if I am still there. Then she started vacuuming right out side the door and banging the door with the cleaner. So needless to say I didn’t get to sleep!

Econo Lodge

Close to highway

Staff is especially nice Harry checked me in, he was super nice, it helped me get over my experience in Ruston Louisiana at a different hotel, outside of hotel looked disappointing could be remodeled. But the inside is nice rooms look redone, nice hardwood floors, desk, chair, comfy bed, fridge, and microwave, our in room, Not much to eat around here, subway, chicken in the market, gas station, south fork restaurant was good, looks dingy, but the food is good, I brought back to room, There was chicken, catfish, and lots of sandwiches on menu, So I highly recommend, for a night stay, it is a complimentary breakfast not a full like it is suggested on sight,
