I was very impressed with this hotel. It was very clean and the front desk lady was so nice. The breakfast was good and the times were better than most hotel breakfast. The breakfast was open until 10:00am.
We were very impressed with the clean beds and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, with something for everyone: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, yogurt, etc. Would definitely stay here again! Only strange thing we encountered was several dogs as we didn't realize that the hotel allowed them. Wasn't an issue at all, though.
Was sent here for work during the month of June 2019. With in the first week had to kill a cockroach in room. I left it in the floor for housekeeping and took two weeks for them to actually clean it. The last week killed another much larger one. Rooms are small and tight. The pool area is small and maybe big enough for only a few people. Getting in the room is a joke. Over the month stay I had to get my key card reactivated at least three different occasions and each time they had to give me three cards because two wouldn’t work. I go on vacation twice a year for ten years and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in
The hotel is new and right off the highway. The decor made the hotel feel like home. The lobby has a variety of seating options. Our room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious. The only issue was the people above us sounded like The Tide walking through and even shook our windows. I would stay again if I could get a similiar rate.
While driving from Texas to New York, we booked this along our way. The hotel was clean. The check in was quick and easy. The room was entirely pet friendly! The furniture went all the way to the floor, not allowing pets to crawl under, and most wires were out of biting reach for our little pup. They served breakfast early, which was a plus so we could get on our way to New York. The food was good, and checking out was quick and easy as well. I would recommend if you're looking for a pet friendly hotel or you're traveling through the area!
One night stay in Tuscaloosa. This hotel was convenient & clean. They do have breakfast, but we tried a local breakfast spot instead. Clean, staff was helpful and polite. The room was quiet even with many pets & kids everywhere! 😂
We stayed at the La Quinta in Tuscaloosa, AL on our way back home from Myrtle Beach. It's conveniently located right by the I-20 so it was perfect for us. Down McFarland Blvd is a whole slew of restaurants and stores so if you need anything, you don't have to go too far to get it. There's a gas station beside the hotel so that was another convenient plus for us as well. The hotel was modern & very clean. The rooms were spacious. Our room had 2 queen size beds and a sofa sleeper. I think there was an extra charge to get the sleeper sofa but it was worth it. The parking lot was very well lit. I thought the light would shine through our curtains but it was relatively darkish in our room. The beds were comfy enough. A little on the firmer side for my taste but I still slept well. We had a room right by the elevator. When I saw where our room was located, I was filled with dread. Normally, having a room by the elevator is not good but it wasn't bad, I must say. I kept our A/C fan on all night which helped with noise. We traveled with our sleep sounds noise machine so we kept that on too. With all the extra ambient noise in our room, I didn't notice any outside noise. In the morning before we headed out, we had breakfast downstairs. They had lots of choices so there was something for everyone. They had a waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, fruit, eggs, sausage patties, oatmeal, milk, juice....you get the idea! If we ever need to stay the night at Tuscaloosa again, I'll definitely be staying at this La Quinta!
I am not sure why anyone is rating this hotel as excellent or good. It is simply not true. It was horrific to say the least and that is probably a compliment. I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. It was not nice or clean. The people reporting those facts are simply not telling the truth. I don't want anyone to get fooled like my family.
Wished I had known about this hotel before I booked the trip. We had to move from a nasty hotel to the La Quinta at short notice, in comparison this hotel far exceeded our expectations. From arriving the place looked good and the reception we received made us feel very welcome. I was always greeted each time I entered the hotel making you feel special. Everything I needed was in the room, a refrigerator for the beers, air conditioning that was really cold, clean room and a and a microwave. The hotel location was good even though it was close to the main roads but I never heard a thing excepts the storms. We liked this hotel so much we have recommended all future colleagues to use it and not to bother looking at any other hotel. Very pleased with my stay and would recommend it to you.
We stayed at LaQuinta while doing a campus tour. The location was convenient for access to the freeway and it wasn't far from campus. Employees were friendly, kind, and helpful. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean (as was the rest of the room). Breakfast was included and is your typical fare at LaQuinta.
