when I checked in I was happy with the staff, they were friendly and polite. As I entered my suite my first impression was great! Two floors, two bathrooms, cathedral ceilings, full kitchen...all great selling points...But the carpet was torn and dirty by every door or transition area, I could feel broken tiles under the carpet close to the kitchen, there was urine on the seat of the upstairs bathroom, random hair hanging from the "clean" towels...when I turned on the shower the water was brown for a good minute and had an not so great odor...the water was not coming out of the shower head with much pressure, so I pulled the stopper on the faucet up harder and then the water stopped flowing down and the pressure increased, but at the same time the caulking came loose and the faucet head separated completely from the wall... if you don't care about cleanliness you might like this place...I won't be going back.

Quiet-away from other hotels but close to airport, restaurants and shopping. Best sleep in months! Huge breakfast every morning. The staff was very nice! Would stay there again and recommend to anyone.

Was amazed how large the suite was. More like a 2 story townhouse apt. Extremely reasonable price for the size of the room. Perfect for 2 couples with lots of privacy or a family of 4.

Although the rooms are worn and outdated, they were clean and the linens and bedding were fresh and newer. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms. The ample sized living area with pull out couch, and full kitchen with full sized appliances entices me to choose Hawthorn suites again in the future. Great hot breakfast in the morning

We loved the set up of the room. It was nice to have two separate rooms to sleep in and it was great to have a kitchen to be able to fix meals for our stay. The staff was very helpful. We had to leave a day earlier than expected due to sickness in the family, and they were happy to refund us the money for that day. When checking out, my husband made some comments about some things in the room that needed attention and they wrote them down so that they could take care of the issues that we saw. The most dissapointing thing about our stay was the cleanliness of the rooms. I clean other people's houses for a job and this hotel did not meet up to my cleanliness standards. Everything else was great about our stay, but I don't think I could recommend this hotel because of the cleanliness.

I mean it was cheap, but that place is awful. Loud at night. Bed was lumpy and tiny. Couch looked like they found it outside on the curb. Kitchen was ok. Coffee grounds, but no coffee maker confused me. That being said, it was quasi clean, if you like the smell or lysol. Only stayed for one night...won't be back again.

The Hotel was old. Stains on the wall. In poor condition. I checked out and went across the street to another Hotel. Did not feel safe

The hotel vastely exceeded my expectations. Positives: We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay overnight while traveling. I was expecting a typlical hotel room (1 room, 2 beds, maybe a desk, and a bathroom). What we received was a two bed suite, with one of the beds located in an second story loft overlooking the living room, full kitchen, two full bathrooms, and a pivate master bedroom. The staff was very freindly and the breakfast good. The kids were excited and suprised. Negatives: The room did show some wear and tear. Nothing horrible, just things like needing to be repainted. At some time in the past the door had been kicked in, and while the door was replaced and the jamb repaired, there was still an obvious crack in the molding where it had been broken. The staircase leading up to the room felt solid, but I could look up and see a section of the supports than needed to be replaced.

The room I was booked was very nice. The rooms are located outside/seperate from the main office so if there is bad weather you have to walk through. It is located about 10 miles outside of town. Over all a pleasant trip.

We have stayed here four times and this time we decided we won't be back. The furnishings are really worn, forget about using the pullout sofa for a bed because it is in such bad shape. The phones didn't work, so couldn't call main desk. Bathroom and sink were clean enough, but obviously old and worn out.

I booked it last min while traveling across country, it was one of the few hotels I could find that allowed pets, was available and didn't have terrible reviews. When I checked into the hotel, the front desk lady was really nice, I was dead tired and cranky yet she still managed to get a small conversation out of me. Turns out that the room I had booked was sold out and O'rbitz upgraded me for free. So I got a suite that looked like a mini condo for $72 after I used some of my reward money.6 different buildings of about 4 outside access rooms each, nice little courtyards to walk my dogs around, and by the pool they have a bbq area for guests to use. The pool was closed for the season so I cant say anything about it but from a walk by glance it looked to be nice, only 5ft deep though. The room it self was clean and very impressive but there were a few querks that annoyed me. The A/C did not want to cool down, and this was after my husband had to shove a pen into the missing button hole to turn off the temp lock. Turned it down about 6* but the room temp only dropped about 2* in the 6hrs we spent there. The sheets would not stay on the bed and there was no mattress protector, it was a no smoking room yet there was a burn on the mattress. Pillows were lumpy but I had brought my own so it wasn't a big deal, just that I would expect better quality pillows from this quality hotel. Continental breakfast was really good, make your own waffles, juice, milk, cereal, bagels, and I think there was an option to make toast. Also they had coffee and flavored creamer, which was a nice treat for someone like me who likes flavor in their coffee. I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend it to others.

Old, outdated room with, saggy mattress. Black streaks on ceiling where are vents flow. Dirty marks around doorknobs. Mirror in bathroom had fingerprints on it when I checked in and were never cleaned during my 3 night stay. Carpet was very old and it didn't look like it was ever vacuumed around the edges. I dared not go barefoot except in the shower. Shameful that room cleaning staff left collected garbage out in the front of each unit ... Garbage was there when I checked in at 7pm!

The hotel was average all the way around. The location was not great as the area was not that nice. A cop was in the front entrance when I arrived as the area did not seem particularly safe.

One night stay before our vacation to Mexico. Would have loved to have stayed longer. The two bedroom was perfect for our family of 5. The kids enjoyed the pool. Since our flight was leaving so early, we were not able to enjoy the free breakfast so the front desk sent us some cereals, muffins and bagels, yogurt and milk for us to enjoy! Super nice!!

While this hotel has large rooms and the price of the stay was lower than most, it is in desperate need of a make-over. Carpets were torn, mold in bathrooms, huge water stains on ceiling and throughout property, rotting boards on stairs, etc. Maids disturbed our sleep by talking loudly outside the window. Husband says he will never stay in this chain again.

There was a strong moldy odor that was so bad that my lungs hurt and my eyes were burning. There was a puddle of water under the carpet next to the bed, so this was probably where the mold had grown over time. I alerted the front desk and asked to be moved to another room. They accommodated me but, no more than three hours later, they checked someone else into the room. Hawthorn Suites is not interested in the welfare of their visitors. As I heard one of the desk staff say when they were checking in the person ahead of me: "The type of room you book is not guaranteed. We will check you into a broom closet if it was all that was available". I do not recommend this hotel. BTW, the room# is 105, so beware if they try to put you in there. .

This is a great value for the money. As for the POSITIVES: The location is not bad, and there is a major shopping center and multiple restaurants within 2 miles or less. The pool was nice and well taken care of. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are large, quite, and clean. The NEGATIVES: There was not a coffee maker in our room but the staff brought one after we brought it to their attention. The telephones in the room did not work. The breakfast on Saturday was “so-so,” but the breakfast on Sunday was of higher quality. As a side note, this is neither good or bad, but the staff told me that the standing hotel “regular” price was approximately only $1 more than we had paid through O-bits. I would recommend this hotel to a friend. Overall it was a great experience.

Staff was excellent! Property is however; showing definite signs of wear and tear. Overall the professionalism and promptness of the staff and maintenance crew made this a very pleasant and worthwhile stay for my wife and myself.

good stay and the staff was very friendly. thank you

I was very happy to check into my room upon my arrival. The room was spacious and appeared clean. After check in, I discovered one of my car tires was flat (COMPLETELY FLAT). There was some construction happening on site. So, I figured that might be to blame. When I asked for help in the morning, the GM Kathy acted like she didn't know how to help me and didn't offer any condolence. Her body language and demeanor basically said, "Sorry bout ya!" She told me I could walk down the freeway to the nearest garage. She was horrible. Despite the great value and great room, I would never stay at this hotel again based on the absolute lack of customer service.
