Needs a makeover. Not real clean, air conditioning did not keep up with the heat gain firing windows. Breakfast was limited and cold. But cheap in price

Hotel is old and in need of some updates. Room was spacious and in reasonably good condition. Close to down town dinning but located next to rail line which can be busy at times. Most parking is not very convenient to front entrance for safety.

I wish i could post the stephen king photos off my phone. There was blood mucas and human hair splattered all over the inside of the shower current like a murder scene. There were fire hazards with the ancient over loaded and badly damaged outlet extenders. There was mold on the ceiling in the shower. The blackout currents were so old musty and smokey they were shattering. And there wear cuts in the wallpaper liie freddy Kruger was there. The ac sorta worked but never reached temperature. The hallway was about 90 degrees. The state health inspector should shut this location down or the fire dept or both. No manager on staff in the morning for checkout to show the photos to. Nightmare. Stay AWAY!!!!

The property is located within walking distance of all things central to Cumberland. The room was adequate. The hotel is under new ownership and is upgrading the facility so that is good. Location is its biggest asset.

My main window was directly over the train switching station- active and very noisy all night. Directly across the hall from me was the laundry- people were using it well past midnight. I got up to shut the door to the laundry room- no door. Did not get a good nights sleep either of the two nights I was there. The mattress was good, the bathroom appeared to be newly remodeled, and I liked being in downtown Cumberland. Did get a good rate, and once again learned that you get what you paid for

Good location but they seem to have turned off the central exhaust system that pulls air from the vent in the bathroom. The result is no air changes in the whole room, which has windows that cannot be opened. After complaining, we were moved to another room with the same problem. I feel sorry for the hospitality business in this lockdown, but we still need air. The rooms were stuffy and taking a shower made it worse. BTW, the “included breakfast” consisted of a banana, a granola bar, and a bottle of water, in a paper bag. So we went to McDonalds. I hope they improve and succeed in this valuable business in the future. The last thing I want to do is hit someone when they’re down. The afternoon/evening person at the front desk was a really nice guy.

Sink was clogged and the bed made my back hurt after 2 nights.

Within walking distance of everything downtown . The Western Maryland railway scenic train station is a short 5 minute walk

It is by the side of a Railway track. Although they provide ear plugs it is hard to have a goo nights sleep

we had a great time only thing tht was bad was the matresses they might need upgrade but over all we will return back

Staff was unsure of my reservation; called the room to confirm my name three times; traveling companions found someone in their assigned room. Dining area for breakfast was chaos; the coffee machine wasn't working (the one thing that everyone wants in the morning) toasters didn't heat properly, no half and half for coffee. However, the location was perfect for us and the room was very good; cleaned spacious.

Very little tv channel offerings. No weather channel At breakfast, none of the toasters worked-had to climb under table to find and reset plugs
