We have stayed at this property multiple times in the past and consider it like home. We were EXTREMELY disappointed to have taken friends with us this trip, extolling the virtues of the beach grill, fish tacos, cabanas, eating breakfast while looking at the ocean and the pier only to find it all closed! Apparently there is a dispute over past taxes. It put a terrible damper on the entire trip. That was why we chose this resort. Nowhere was the closure listed on the website and Orbitz did not notify us either. We only learned of it afte we arrived. We could not carry a chair down to the beach. Had to take our towels. Everything was torn up down there. Since we are divers, we had to drive to the marina to meet the boat. We received NO compensation for 1/3 of our visit being unavailable. This trip the food at the restaurants was disappointing, other than the fish tacos. Not nearly enough vegetables (extremely limited salad bar). Taste was blah. Our room and the facility are showing serious signs of needing repair. Our room had a leak under the floor that resulted in water coming up from the floor every times we flushed the toilet. That said, the view is second to none and we were upgraded to an incredible suite. Loved that! As always, the staff are what make Fiesta Americana. Everyone is so helpful. Mexico is serious about covid, to the point of it being somewhat over the top. Masks are required everywhere, even in the open air bar with lots of UV light and air. Very safe!

I liked that the resort was small and easy to navigate, the staff was very attentive (please tip even though you don’t have too), the room had a beautiful ocean view, the drinks were great, sushi bar, a few restaurants, mini bar and room service included in all inclusive pricing. I am not a big foodie so if you are the food is average.

Fiesta Americana was amazing during our short stay from 11/22 -25. I didn’t know what to expect with the pandemic but the place was awesome! Staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the grounds of the beach area were in great shape, the food was awesome in my opinion and we never had to wait long for anything. We were somewhat apprehensive about traveling to Cozumel during this time but when we got there our mind was put at ease immediately. All staff wear masks and shields at all times, they are constantly sanitizing everything, they have open air restaurants with spread out tables and the enclosed restaurants all have the tables spread far apart as well. We felt safer at fiesta Americana than we do at many places back i the states. One last thing, the staff here is incredible. I can’t say enough about how they made our group feel welcome the entire time. A lot of great people running this place! Also, if you like to dive or do other boat excursions, they have a nice concrete pier where you can get picked up. Many of the wooden piers were damaged during the hurricanes but fiesta Americana has a fully functioning pier.

The staff and snorkeling is what make this resort! Lucio is so personable, Henry and Jorge are our favorite bartenders, Manuel (security) and Darwin were very pleasant, Gabriel at breakfast was prompt, and last but not least Glendy does an amazing job at the fish shack. The snorkeling is amazing in front of the resort! The food options this trip were not as good (maybe due to Covid).

The hotel was great. Lack of food choices after 5:30 pm or anytime at night

Friendly staff. They would do anything you requested.

We did not like the deception upon arriving; they sit you down with a concierge who maps out all there is to do in the area and proceeds to tell you what discounts he can give you. Just go to breakfast with a guide and he will show you all around the property. We figured it was a ploy to sell time share and next day cancelled. Oh the price of the rental car, etc. doubled. We talked with others who did the talk and they were offered a free rental. We tried to use the kayaks nut were told since we didn’t do the sales pitch, we could not use them...not even if we paid. The food was not outstanding. We will not be returning. We were also hoodwinked on the shuttle to and from the airport by booking online. It was more than double the price of just securing our own taxi at the airport.

Very continent to not have to carry my wallet around to pay for everything. This place is all inclusive. Super clean, very nice, and has great customer service. At every turn there is a restaurant or a bar. I have been to fiesta three times and when I go to Cozumel for diving and fishing that’s where I stay!

Everything was well maintained and clean including the room, restaurants, beach area. Staff was over the top and the food was unbelievable . This was a whole class above what you would expect from an all inclusive stay.

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Nice clean room with balcony. Food was delicious and drinks were great. Dive boat pick on premises - lots of cabanas and plenty of room - never felt crowded even though they said this was their busy season. Every nite there is an event around the lobby bar and pool our family enjoyed our stay! We would go again! Far enough from town to be peaceful but close enough to make it easy to get to town in 10 minutes or so.

The staff was super friendly and so hospitable. The location of the resort was ideal, the pier in front of the resort offered easy access to our dive boat. For the type of resort that Fiesta Americana is the coffee was terrible. They need to invest in better coffee machines!

For $500 a night I expected more than we got. Our room door looked like it had been kicked in and we had to "jiggle it" to open it. A fact they failed to tell us when checking in and we had to go ask why we couldn't get in when our key worked. The nighttime food was good and the buffet was ok, but one day we were going on a snorkel tour at one and they were turning over all of the food. We waited an hour and never got food before going out for three hours. While we were there we never ate anywhere else, not even snacks. But all of us got diarrhea by the third morning. Even worse, the pool, which is supposed to close at 8 pm, stayed open with drunk people until midnight and then the bartenders played loud music while cleaning the bar. So we couldn't even sleep. Just a disappointment. But the pool is awesome as are their beach beds and seats. The rooms themselves are nice too.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was pretty and rooms were nice. We had a king suite with an ocean view. Every night was a beautiful sunset. The food was delicious. Restaurants were able to accommodate our group of 11 (6 adults and 5 kids) every night for dinner. There is no sand beach, but chairs, cabanas, and beds right on the waterfront. We were able to get a spot every day. Great snorkeling right off the pier. Water was beautiful hues of blue. Pool was nice with a swim up bar. Excellent all inclusive hotel. Adults and kids had a great time. I would come back here with my family in a heartbeat! Great value!

Everything was more than perfect! Staff treated us all like royalty!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, however there were a few nuances. 1-The lounge areas along the ocean were blocked off with caution tape along with the stairs to the ocean. 2- There was no bartender at the swim up bar, majority of our trip. 3- We went to dinner at Rosato, asked to sit outside, and were told it was for the “special menu” - lobster and steak dinners in which you had to pay $50+ for. We handed him a $10 and he let us sit outside, on an empty balcony that wasn’t being used because they weren’t allowing seating. 4- Upon arrival, we were asked to go to a 90 minute presentation for the Explorean - their sister hotel. We told them no, and were constantly urged and hassled to buy excursions and attend this presentation. All else considered - we had a beautiful time, the resort staff for the most part were wonderful. Very clean resort.
