Beautiful resort. Wish more of the workers spoke English

This was our 5th stay at Fiesta Americana over a 17 year period. It just gets better and better. The upgrades are significant and we enjoyed every part of our stay. The staff was exceptional. Every person was gracious, giving, and kind. We didn't eat anywhere except Fiesta Americana because the food was so good. Since we are vegetarian, we asked for something without meat several times and we were always happy with what the chef graciously prepared. The coffee, expresso and ice cream at the Snack Bar were all great but the staff was even better! Gracious and sweet! We tried all the restaurants and found the food tasty and the environments classy! I recommend Fiesta Americana to everyone and Orbitz offered the perfect vacation package!!!!

I stay here at least once a year for diving over the last 10 yrs except for the remodeling, that brought great improvements to the hotel. After the remodel they maintained some of original staff that kept the old home feel about the resort, but the resort became a little to commercial and to mush business first. You didn't finish the check in before the sale pitches would start. Fortunately that behavior slowed down some over the last couple of years and you can check in without any pressure. This last visit had a noticeable change with the staff at the resort. All of it in the positive in my opinion. For the most part every staff member was friendly and helpful. Along with a noticeable presence of the hotel manage throughout the facility. As a diver the location is great. Far enough south that I get picked up after a relaxing breakfast just steps away from the dock. Breakfast buffet has a good variety of fruit yogurt and pastries but the staples are mediocre but flavorful, so you can get some protein without filling up on a omelet. After the dive your right where you want to be. The dock is just steps away from three forms of food. I will choose the Taco bar with its sea food over the buffet or the hot dog and hamburger stand. By the way all three locations right on the beach. Dinner easy, Three restaurant to choose from and sushi some times along with room service as needed. All provide a great meal with a decent attempt at providing a hotel based upscale dining.

Always a pleasure here. Good snorkeling right in front. Staff is very good.

We loved our stay at the Fiesta Americana. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food and drink choices were many and terrific. The cleanliness of the facility was great. There is nothing we could ask for to have had a better vacation.

This was our second stay at Fiesta Americana & we will likely never stay anywhere else. Though some of the details were lacking, like some missing tile & tile grout in the pool, the overall finishes in the room & facilities are updated & modern- like travertine tile & modern glass shower doors, new rain shower head in the shower, & modern tile throughout the halls of the resort. The A/C worked great, though we didn't need it much. The food is always great. Big buffets for breakfast & lunch facing the ocean. Huge variety of fresh fruit, salads, & plenty of steak, chicken, pork & fish to choose from. This year they added a quesadilla station to breakfast, with the best hand made corn tortillas I've ever had! Their salsa selection ranges from gringo mild to burn your face off hot. And, of course, they will make your omelettes to order with whatever ingredients sound good to you each morning. Tons of bread to choose from, as well. The restaurants are also good- with a delicious Cochinita pork dinner at the Mexican restaurant and wonderful shrimp fettucini at the Italian restaurant. We never tried the fresh sushi station, but their coffee bar espresso and ice cream sure did hit the spot between meals. Staff always catered to our 3 year old's picky pallet, bringing him chocolate milk, bananas & pnut butter spoons upon request. The lap pool next to the buffet was heated and wonderful, but unfortunately the main pool wasn't heated, which was a little chilly.

We really enjoy breakfast on the beach each morning. Very convenient for our dive operation to pick us up at the pier.

Gorgeous coral and fish immediately north of hotel. Incredible staff, outstanding! Food very good, not exceptional, but more than happy with it. Maybe cut down sweetness on ALL sauces. Drinks are weak, but you can specify how you want it and they are more than happy to comply. Our whole family of four separate rooms were upgraded to suites because they were available. Wonderful rooms, great views! Minor complaint that beds were a little hard, but slept well after day in ocean. Room service is very good! We did have to get our room keys rescanned 5 days out of the 9 we were there, but we considered this just a hiccup. All the service staff were unbelievably friendly and trying their best to please. I noticed it made no difference whether they received tips or not, but PLEASE bring lots of small bills to do so. They work VERY HARD and long hours non stop for very little. This was our second time here and as good as it was last time, was even better this time.

Love breakfast on the ocean! Upgraded to a suite! Wonderful place! Stayed here last year. Returned this year with whole family. Best all-inclusive for snorkeling, which is FANTASTIC!!

Second time at this resort & everything was perfection as usual. Only tip would be we booked our room for 4 adults because I have 2 teen boys. The option when booking was a Master Suite. The room was great but the pull out bed was entirely too small for my kids. Opt for 2 rooms instead of the suite if your kids are not elementary age/size. The is also a Governors Suite which has an additional bedroom attached to the Master Suite that would make for a better option.

First impression is that they took a lot of time to make to very nice upgrades to the hotel from the previous owners. During check in, it was a good thing that I had history with the location since they make the sales pitch and offer the great up grade to stay in the Explorian. The Explorian sits in the back of the hotel a short walk to the main hotel building where all the food drinks and comfortable weather is. So I declined any up grade since all the up graded rooms are located away from ocean views and breeze. Go for it if you like heat and bugs (avoid the sales pitch). Staff is very pleasant and work hard. During the time we would tip regularly through our stay with american cash. But when we wanted to get change for our larger bills no one could give change other then the people that had tip jars. Also tried to purchase items at the hotel and again no dollars excepted only pesos or credit card. Tough when all you want is a simple razor. Room was nice and clean with small stocked refrigerator with water, soda and beer. Everything would get restocked every day for free. Every afternoon staff would drop off a fresh bottle of water with out having to chase some one down. Three restaurants all with descent flavor and some good diversity along with a decent buffet every night. Lunch time food is a good veriety at two beach huts. one with burgers and dogs the other is Mexican sea food and tacos.

Staff is great, beach cookouts delicious. Overall food is good, could Mexicanize it a bit more. Note it is across the street from beach but really not a problem. Beautiful views if you have ocean view but then you don't spend much time in your room!

Wow, where do we start? We have stayed at all-inclusive resorts in many places, most often Beaches and Sandals resorts. I wasn't expecting a lot, but was so surprised to realize how much we just loved this place!!! I had read many reviews saying how the place was "full", but it never seemed crowded or busy. We were there at the peak of spring break, and the same held true. The restaurants were not busy, we always got right in, there were always chairs available (on our own little shady spot on the beach under the pergola.) There were always clean towels available. There were always happy workers coming up to you on the beach as well as the pool area to ask if you wanted drinks. Coffee was alway available after 6:30 am (which is when we would head down in search of it.) The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Every room has a large balcony which was perfect for drying our wetsuits and gear. While the resort may not be as "fancy" as some of the resorts we have stayed at, it was the most comfortable. Restaurants and food: A+ all the way! I was so excited to eat at Cevicheria, and it didn't disappoint! We loved the waiters Jose and Reymundo!!! They spoiled us and made us feel like family. The ceviche and shrimp/fish tacos were delicious! Every restaurant we ate in, we were made to feel special. The buffet was always good too! And Pedro, the omelette chef, was so kind! He never gets a day off, but told me he "loves his job"! Every worker there deserves a

The vacation included my two children ages 15 and 17, my wife and myself. We stayed in a master suit which included a separate room for the kids. The facilities were very clean and the staff were extremely accommodating. The restaurants have decent food and the Italian restaurant was our favorite. On our last evening, we wanted to eat there at my oldest turned 18 but the restaurant was closed due to an event and a buffet was opened in its place on the beach. Although disappointed, we decided to get sushi. The staff knowing it was my oldests birthday, tracked us down as we went to find a place to eat and brought over a special treat. It was very heartfelt and the staff really went out of there way to make the meal and day special.

The guest can dive, snorkel right off the stairs into the ocean or hang around the pool. Staff is terrific. At one point I misplaced my camera and the first staff person I told immediately texted the rest of the staff to be on the lookout for it. (I had left it in my room). The freshly cooked food was so good ! For example, one day the senior chief set up a beach barbecue featuring Mahi Mahi, grouper and salmon. Cooked to perfection. Several nights desserts were brought to my door ! My room was kept immaculate with fresh flowers and towel art every day. I can't wait to go back for my 5th or 6th time!

Our room was gorgeous overlooking the main pool area and the beach. We could sit on our patio and watch the sunset and all the boats that passed by. Also, we watched the dune buggy and the VW beetle tours drive by. The meals were all very good. The food on the buffets was very plentiful. Our group tried every restaurant during our stay. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant so much that we chose to return there for our last night. The chef makes the pasta for the dishes served and I had the best Lasagna that I have ever had. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was an outstanding one! Food, staff, facilities, and wonderful attitude made this stay a memorable one.

Fiesta Americana is an all-inclusive that provided our family relaxation, entertainment and incredible hospitality. The staff is amazing and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the utmost enjoyment and comfort. Giancarlo and Julio kept the activities diverse and fun; while Eduardo and Aaron kept everyone's drink full and refreshed at the pool! The spa staff walked the pool area giving massages and there was always a good tune playing in the background. The food is great- fish and shrimp tacos by the beach with Fernando and crew will truly be missed! The options of Italian, Thai, Mexican, and the Sushi bar- are more than enough and each one is authentic and delicious. The resort is very well laid out and easy to get around. A massage at the spa is a must and very reasonably priced. We would recommend FA to any of our friends and will definitely be back.

The staff really made this resort so exceptional, they all went out of their way to be friendly and accomodating. Our suite was roomy, clean and comfortable. The only complaint was that the restaurant schedule didn't always seem to be what was posted, the grill opened late for lunch one day

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean everywhere, very good bad and AC. Great food and beverage. But no beach.
