Hello,
I am submitting a formal request for review and refund under Expedia’s Guest Protection standards for my recent stay:
Property: The OSU House – 4 BR (Apr 24–Apr 26, 2026)
Upon arrival, the property did not match the listing photos and presented multiple health and safety concerns, including:
* Visible mold in the bathroom and ceiling corners
* Dirty floors and buildup along base areas
* Stained and unclean shower curtain/liner
* General lack of cleanliness inconsistent with a rental of this type
These conditions created an environment that felt unsafe and unsuitable for occupancy, particularly as children were staying in the home.
This is not a minor cleanliness issue—it reflects both:
* A health hazard, and
* A material misrepresentation of the property as advertised
I reported the issues and have photo documentation available. The host has offered only a $75 courtesy refund, which does not adequately address the severity of the situation.
Because the property failed to meet basic cleanliness and safety standards, I am requesting a substantial refund (or full refund) in line with Expedia’s policies for properties that are not as described or present health risks.
I would appreciate Expedia’s assistance in reviewing this case and facilitating a fair resolution.
