We were looking for a place to stay in Columbus where we were meeting up with family. We are very familiar with the Hampton Inn brand and was pleasantly surprised with the awesome staff that helped us find places to eat, shop (when my sunglasses broke), and also told us of things in the area that would be fun to do. Karen at the front desk remembered us each time we came and went and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. Would return here in an instant if back in the area.
Great customer service, nice lobby, clean room, clean bathroom, great beds, exceptional workers, buffet breakfast was good, the kitchen and eating area was very clean and nice. Loved that they had things that we forgot to bring from home!
While checking in the receptionist was not very friendly. When we got to the room, I placed my wife's medicine in the refrigerator. The refrigerator did not work, I pulled the refrigerator out and discovered it was not plugged in, I plugged it in. It still did not work, I called the front desk; this is what dissatisfies me. The receptionist said and I quote, ' we are through an upgrade for the refrigerators' I said can I get another room. She said ' I cannot not confirm that the refrigerator will work in the other rooms. I said, 'please check me out, I have only been her five minutes. She said, 'you will still be charged' her attitude over the phone was not courteous in no fashion. As we were going back and forth I heard another lady say I will bring you up a refrigerator personally. The conversation ended. Five minutes later a knock on the door and the lady with the refrigerator along with a guest that I had the pleasure to speak to from downstairs. They brought me a brand new refrigerator. Hours before checkout I requested a late checkout. The receptionist said that the latest that I could checkout was 12pm. I agreed. Ten o'clock am the cleaning lady knocks on the door, my wife answers and the cleaning lady says that12 pm is the normal checkout time after my wife informs her that we had requested a late checkout. I have stayed at this hotel too many times to count; definitely going to seek places with better customer service. I am a HGVC member as well as a HH member; I used to take pride to know that I was a member of one of the best. Now I am second guessing myself.
Poor customer service from beginning to end with front desk. HORRIBLE inconvenience to me for their mistake. I'd paid third party didn't owe hotel a penny but they got CASH and kept it too. Now have to wait 15days or longer who knows to get my original payment refunded by booking.com.
Very nice hotel. Staff is helpful and the onsite gym has great equipment and is very clean. My fridge stopped working on this visit and they had me a new one in under 30 minutes. I will stay here again on my next trip into the area.
we came down for a college graduation and the service was great the room was wonderful the location of this hotel was great it was twenty miles from Mississippi State a lot of resturant near by people at the front desk was great we had no problem will come and stay again
Super comfortable beds. Fluffy pillows. Nice place to work with mini - refrigerator and microwave. Staff was very nice and the hotel was clean and felt fresh. Relaxing atmosphere. Great Service. Cracker Barrel and Logan's Steakhouse are within walking distance.
Did not like that the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 10AM, which is 2 hours before checkout. She knocked once and came in. I didn't even have time to get to the door. First of all,it was two hours before check out. Second, you don't just come in someone's room. When I questioned her about it, she said well I knocked. I replied yes but then you came right in, and besides that, it's two hours before checkout!! Very unhappy about this. Also, when looking for towels, the front desk person was not there so I had to wait for awhile, which I later saw she was in the dining area - I'm not sure why. I needed towels but they were locked up. Why wouldn't towels be readily available? Very unhappy on these two staff incidents.
Nice place to stay everyone was friendly and helpful room were great nice breakfast even gave me water bath room was very nice would stay again ,and will stay at more of your places and hope they just as nice.
Stay once again at the Hampton in Columbus MS and as usual enjoyed myself and felt appreciated by the staff there again. I’ve stayed at this Hampton several time over the last year and will be back soon. Thanks again for great service. It does need to be upgraded to the new digital key though.
