Stayed overnight in order to meet family for a visit. Great steak house nearby. April, Cindy, and Dawn at the front desk were very nice. They have chips and chip and cookies in the late afternoon and evening. Good free breakfast. Clean and quiet.
Excellent stay. Friendly, courteous staff. Great coffee, first Quality Inn I have stayed at that had breakfast at 5:00 AM. Straight access to Columbus Air Force Base. Rooms on second floor are better for quiet. Bed was comfortable and refrigerator worked well. Plenty of restaurants within 3 miles of the hotel. Air conditioner really worked great. The room price was very reasonable.
We had reservations, then cancelled (tropical storm headed up from gulf area), but at the last minute decided to proceed in spite of severe weather. Through it all, Ann at the front desk was patient and accommodating. Very good experience in spite of the changes in itinerary. The room itself was spotlessly clean, including the fully-stocked bathroom. The bed was very comfortable...firm mattress and three soft pillows on each bed. Our rooms came equipped with microwave, fridge, and hair dryer. Even a laundry bag for dirty clothes. And although there was some noise from a crowd gathered around in the parking lot, it quieted down relatively early. Breakfast is served from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. I'm not a morning person, so do not eat breakfast, but I did notice there's a waffle maker, so probably more choices than simple continental breakfast. And there are complimentary copies of USA Today and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. The hotel is very convenient for travelers headed in mostly any direction out of Columbus and is near a 24-hour Walgreens if the need arises for a last minute travel item, e.g. toothpaste, aspirin, etc. There are other stores and restaurants close by as well. Including The Donut Factory, which had a great selection of donuts, cookies, and fritters for those of us who skip breakfast in order to have a donut for lunch! :-) With an AARP discount, our room was under $70 and worth every penny. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.
Passing brought on family vacation and stopped in for the night. Great hotel for the money! Super friendly staff, updated & clean rooms and offered a nice variety for breakfast. Wonderful friendly town!!
Room was clean. Accommodations average. Staff very helpful. Since rooms are accessed from outside the noise level from guests as well as adjacent traffic was somewhat annoying. Breakfast selection was good.
My husband and I traveled to Columbus for a quick 1-night stay for the Market Street Festival. I was a little apprehensive about staying in a "motel". Being a Hampton by Hilton "hotel" employee, I am accustomed to hotels with inside corridors. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival and I absolutely loved this property. I had to book a smoking room due to the fact the motel was at maximum occupancy. I was delighted to find that my room had been changed to a non-smoking room per my request!! The motel staff was very friendly and professional and I was totally impressed by the cleanliness of the room. The bedding was clean and the mattress looked as if it had never been slept on. The motel was quiet and the grounds were maintained well. I highly recommend this motel to anyone traveling through the Columbus area.
The Quality Inn, Columbus, MS is a clean, friendly, convenient motel. Check in and check out went seamlessly. Motel employees were friendly and helpful. The Internet worked well, bed was comfy, there were lots of electric outlets and the shower had a good spray. They had a good selection at breakfast...eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, fruit, breads and muffins, juice and coffee. It is close to many restaurants and a grocery. Would not hesitate to stay again.
We were only here for a one night stay. Came in late after a MSU football game. Check in was very speedy and friendly. Room was clean. However drink machine was a complete mess. Tried change, no go. Tried bills, no go. Finally front desk said card only, but if still didn't work, there was a convenience store very close. That was really only negative. Not fancy but my second stay and felt safe and comfortable. Not really expensive for a sell out weekend for college football game.
This was a good place for the night. Not a five star but nice and clean. Breakfast was good with a good selection of things to eat. Price was reasonable. Only problem was the tv only received one channel. Would have been fixed but we weren't watching it so did not ask.
Cindy the manager was accomodating. I stayed here for 42 days, while working. The food is good. The cleaning service is nice. The room is decent size. Is it is adequate. There is allot of shouting and yelling in the parking lot at night. Not condusive for a good night rest. Plus she wouldnt give me the choice points because she said she gave us a deal on the rate. But I would stay here again.
