I’ve stayed here a few times, it’s usually spot on. Disappointing this stay. Internet issues, my waterside room was 90% parking lot, wonky bed and light bulbs out. I spoke to the desk, that exchange was par at best. I’ll stay again, but if it is like this again, then I’ll have to pass moving forward.

The staff at the restaurant and the restaurant itself was lovely and exceeded our expectations!! Food was amazing & they opened early for the Olympic game which was appreciated. Unfortunately the spa was booked and we understood that booking 4-6 weeks ahead is the norm. However, this Expedia members only deal came up 1 week before and all over any hotel advertisement is this beautiful photo of a pool. We learned that pool is actually only in the aquatherapy section of the spa- that is bookable for a price for 45 minute sessions- and again was fully booked unfortunately during our stay. I think that it should be CLEARLY outlined on Expedia that the spa is separate from the hotel booking and you don’t have access to most of the areas pictured- and they book up ahead of time. The cross country skiing and rental was also great!

The bed was very uncomfortable. Their service was very bad. We tried to book everything two or three weeks in advance, and they kept saying it was full and that they would let us know the next afternoon. Overall, it was not good at all.

Unfortunately we didn't have a great stay. Shower wasn't clean, but that was an easy fix. The first night we were woken up by snoring in the room next door! Not the hotel's fault and luckily the people checked out the next day. On our second night someone enter the room next to us and opening their side of the adjoining door which startled us out of bed at 5:30am. When discussed with the hotel they advised that is was a guest that checked in early. Seems strange that they would allow someone to check in at that hour when normal check in is after 4pm. No apology for the inconvenience.

The room was nice but the bathroom wasn't very clean - the toilet especially looked like it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest, and there was dirt in the corners of the floor. We found the experience could have been better overall in other ways too. There was no food - no breakfast available until after 11 am - and check out time was 11 am. So we could not order room service. We weren't told this before arrival and would have brought groceries for breakfast had we known. There were vending machines that sold candy but two of them were not working, and the 3rd one I checked only took cash which I didn't have (the other vending machines took cards, but were broken). The wifi was very slow, as was the one elevator for the whole wing of the hotel. For a 4-star "Resort and Spa" I was surprised there were no robes to wear to the pool. They provided very small towels at the pool, which you were not supposed to take back to your room. Not a great experience, all in all.

3.5/5 ⭐️ Stayed at Living Water Resort & Spa on February 13, booked through Expedia. I got a solid Friday night rate, but upon arrival I could tell it was going to be a busy one — 11 people in line at the front desk. Rather than wait, I headed to my 5:45 reservation at Lakeside Grill. Dinner was the highlight. I had the surf and turf — beautifully cooked beef tenderloin, a very respectable lobster tail (yes, frozen — but we’re in Ontario and it was handled properly), scallops, shrimp, mussels — a generous seafood spread, all executed very well. Holly, our server, was fantastic. It was clearly a daunting night and she stayed positive, professional, and attentive. She made the evening. Back to reality afterward — another 30+ minute wait at the front desk. My room was in the new wing on the fifth floor, about a 10–12 minute walk through confusing, poorly marked hallways. That said, the room itself was excellent. Brand new, spotless, beautiful kitchenette, great bathroom — truly 5/5 on the room. The spa was fully booked and wouldn’t take a waitlist name in case of cancellations, which was disappointing. By 9:30 PM the pool was on a one-in, one-out policy due to capacity. The staff across the property were friendly and doing their best — you could just tell the weekend volume had them overwhelmed. Great room. Great dinner. Strong staff. The front desk experience and crowd management just need tightening up.
