Cheap flights To Bronxville (NYC) from $84

Great little place 10 minutes from Central park, and an easy Subway ride to Times Square! If you want a nice, clean, safe place to hang your hat at night while visiting Manhattan (for a great price), come here! It was so nice to walk into a beautiful old building where the hard wood hadn't been landlord-special'd, and we enjoyed the good eats further down Amsterdam. The parking is actually a block over, so be prepared to be paused in traffic to unload, or just park and walk your bags over when you check in. My only note is that our bed was comically loud and squeaky, you could adjust your leg or roll over and the whole thing would creak. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and we cracked plenty of jokes about it, lol.

Beautiful room and great customer service

We have traditionally always stayed in the theater district area however more recently the area has changed. More homeless, dirtier and just not as enjoyable for us. We decided to stay more uptown in the central park area and the Orbitz site recommended the 1 Hotel Central Park. From the moment we checked in it was truly like a zen feeling and experience. Less hustle and bustle checking in, the staff was super friendly, attentive and helpful in every way from the check to the concierge. The room was modern (in a zen way), mini bar was stocked with wines, drinks and snacks. A coffee pod machine as well. The restaurant Jams, was excellent for breakfast and always packed! We HIGHLY recommend staying here and as a matter of fact tyhis will be our new go to staying in NYC.

Price was right. Room had some problems - lamps and believe or not the Radio weren't working. They offered to send someone up, but we declined, preferring to go to sleep that night. Staff was good, bed and TV good. The bathroom could have used at least a little bit of counter space - essentially, there was none. The place is clean and fine for an overnight stay in NYC if you don't mind being on the northern tip of Manhattan. Great access to GW Bridge.

Clean rooms in a great location. Easy walk to Grand Central Station. Great breakfast next door and nice concierge floor.

Location is the number one reason to stay here. Right across from Central Park. BUT you don't actually get a view of the park unless you book a room on a higher floor on the west side (5th Ave side) or corner room (called Park View). We stayed in an Exec King Suite on the 5th floor because we wanted a sitting area separate from the bedroom. No view whatsoever from the windows; just the adjacent building. Also, there isn't anywhere in the hotel - a bar, a sitting room, even a window - that you can access to see the Central Park view. If the view is important to you, you have to book the right room. There were a few small details that were less than ideal; not dealbreakers but not what I expected for a luxury hotel that cost us $1000/night: no coffee maker in the room - we had to call down and have them bring us one several electrical outlets didn't work no usb charging ports anywhere (it is an old hotel but still) we used the wine glasses from the cabinet and although housekeeping removed them the next day, they weren't replaced no room in the mini-frig for personal items took a very long time to get hot water out of the bathroom and shower faucets bathrobes were on the small side if you want to order in food from other establishments, the delivery person isn't allowed to bring it to your room; they have to leave it with concierge who then sends someone up to your room with it All in all, we wouldn't stay here again.
