Was there for Auto Fair three nights. Clean and everything works. All we were looking for when we go to these type of venues. A little high compared to some of the other places, but a little nicer. Front desk friendly and efficient.

Hotel staff was pleasant enough, Rooms were OK, clean and comfortable, but their amenities in the room are very very minimal. No hairdryer, no coffeemaker - not even the ones that make just a single cup. We were going to walk to a restaurant close by - but I felt very uncomfortable, given a few characters we observed close by. None of the usual restaurants or even fast food places close by. I understand that it was a Sunday - but even the Chinese take-out was closed. Very very limited breakfast. I would not stay there again.

Continental breakfast consists of three previously frozen Danish, three croissants, a pot of coffee and some powdered creamer. One of the poorest examples of a breakfast that I've encountered. Oh yes there is a juice dispenser. I would have taken a photo, however it was too tough to take out my phone. LOL

The room at this location was what one anticipates for the price. However, if you are a jogger or walker then go elsewhere or refrain from your exercise during your stay. The area is very, very bad. There was no breakfast to speak of. The fact that the office is locked at night and one speaks to the staff through thick plexiglass tells the story.

Sure, it isn't the greatest area of town, and being familiar with Charlotte, I knew that when I made the reservation. But if you need a low priced place to stay in a location convenient to uptown or the University area, this works well. I had several interactions with staff members and they were all friendly and professional. The room was dated, old carpet and pictures, but it was clean, and at this price point, that was all that mattered to me. I was surprised how quiet it actually was all night, considering that the hotel was full. Breakfast was very basic, but again, I can't complain. So, in summary, for the price it was very adequate. You can spend much more and stay uptown or you can spend more and stay in the University area. The staff was good, the lot was well lit and quiet. No problems at all.

This is a great location to downtown. The check in clerk was friendly. They were redoing the stairs- so she made sure to explain where to park, in order to get to our room. The outside is rather dated and needs refurbishment- but the room was clean- we were only there for one night on a road trip- so it met our needs. Very odd the next morning- we went for the breakfast- there was one table and a guy was spread out with all of his food, his newspaper and laptop. It turns out he was the hotel clerk. He did assist us once he left his breakfast.

The reviews didn't mention the thugs outside, some sort of questionable transaction in the rear lot or the jail type gate around the property. I found this place on the Internet and my fiance only went in to cancel the reservations.

Room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke and everything I brought in smelled like it until I had a chance to wash it. I guess that's my fault for not checking ahead of time if they allowed smoking in rooms. The carpet was fairly dirty as well. The location was in a worse area than I thought, I didn't feel particularly safe. But the staff was friendly and my car didn't get broken in to so I gave 2 stars.

We've stayed at this hotel before and it is OK. The room was clean, but it is obviously quite old and outdated. There was a decent flat screen TV so can't complain about that. The mini fridge didn't work during the evening when we needed it. We complained to the front desk and of course they checked during the day when it did work and left it. The price was way too high for what you get. There wasn't enough parking and it was too close to others. The area is not the best so I'd not want to travel alone to this location. We won't be back to this location as there are many more much nicer hotels closer to our destination for just a small amount more.

Basic no frills, old school motel. Lady at check in on 3/19 was efficient and professional. Room 107. 1 king bed gave you a lot of room. Table with 2 chairs, small fridge and microwave, large flat screen. Room seemed clean and to have been recently renovated, but still had a 60's vibe with wallpaper border around ceiling and cheap motel artwork. Wallpaper peeling up around tub surround. If you want more than coffee and juice for breakfast, good luck. At 8:30 there were 6 small pastries left, even though there were at least 12 vehicles in the parking lot. They should stop the so-called breakfast and lower the room rate $10.00. Inexpensive place to stay.
