I was in the area to watch my daughter’s frisbee tournament at the Ramblewood complex. The team was staying here (as were many other teams) so I decided to stay there for convenience. The room was large, very freshly decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. It does have those ugly wall unit heat and ac but if you set the temperature correctly it rarely goes on. There’s a fridge and microwave along with free internet. The breakfast area is small (or seemed that way with all the college students!) but offered good choices. It is a good option for this type of trip.
This is a nice place to stay for a short trip. There is a complementary breakfast. The rooms are very clean. Housekeeping service is daily and very nice. The location is close to all major highways. The beds were comfortable. This place is located in a nice quiet area . This is a Marriot hotel. The Marriot Incorporation should lower the price of hotel per night. Overall it was a good stay.
Went to check in on 12/26, LABRIA at the front desk, was shuffling through her shift. This property has a "spinning wheel" on the front desk! Great idea if LABRIA is hiding under a rock. Darla, another employee, was quite busy working on cleaning near the front desk. LABRIA, whom I believe is not qualified to have interaction with humans, shuffles out from behind her designated sequestered cubicle, as she shuffles out I attempt to spin the wheel. GREAT! I WIN 5000 Marriott points! Being Platinum with Marriott, I appreciate extra points. I tell LABRIA that I just won 5000 points. She claims she didn't see me spin it. "Labria, you were standing right there behind the desk!" Labria LIES and tells me the wheel is for new members that sign up with Marriott Rewards when checking in. A miss-statement of fact as Marriott would not allow LOSER to be posted on the wheel in 5 places! This wheel has 100 points, 500, 1000, 1500, free coffee (?) 5000 points and LOSER. LOSER is prominently displayed significantly more time than any of the winning options. I call over to Hyatt, check out of this Fairfield and go down the road where the front desk employee is friendly and professional. On another note, I stayed here a week earlier, Janie at the desk was incredible as was the rest of the staff. Labria desperately needs customer relations training or find employment where she doesn't interact with others.
This hotel was a wonderful stop for our travels. The rooms were beautiful quiet and clean. Front desk staff was very professional and courteous. The free breakfast was one of the better breakfasts we have ever had and we travel a lot! Great location right off the highway.
The staff was friendly and the location to our tournament was perfect. Lots of restaurants close by for eating out. I️ even left my sunglasses in my room after we departed, and I️ called the manager, Todd, the next day and he Fed Ex them to me. The rooms were very clean. Great stay!
Booked based on excellent reviews, so knew this hotel would be clean and comfortable. However, way exceeded my expectations by having well-trained, friendly staff; amazingly large breakfast selection (several types eggs, meat, melon, pineapple, yogurt, bagel/toast, cereal/granola, juice, milk, coffee, tea and more)--weekend stay; and room layout/amenities (fridge, micro, real coffee maker, excellent mattress/bedding) that meant total quiet and comfort. Add to that the fact this older property is very clean and clean smelling; has updated decor, carpeted hallways and quiet doors and elevator; plenty of outlets/wifi for technology, and convenient and safe location. Great stay, highly recommend in lieu of other similarly priced hotels in the area (and even some higher-priced ones).
My friend and I traveled up to go to Scarowinds. The hotel was clean, front desk was helpful, great breakfast and was a quick trip to get to the theme park Carowinds. I have two comments for future visitors. Coming back late to the hotel their was not one parking spot left. Wendy's next door was the closest option for parking. And the other was our room was one door down from the elevator and we could hear everyone traveling the hall early in the morning. Try and get a room down at the end of the hall.
This hotel property appears to have jettisoned a complete one hundred eighty degrees! The last time I was here, about a year ago, the ONLY positive thing I stated then was the friendliness of some of the staff. This Time? Everything was great! The room was clean, Denise, the young woman making sure breakfast items were available, worked continually, never taking a breather! INCREDIBLE turn around in a positive direction!
We stayed at this hotel on our recent visit to Charlotte to attend the PGA. The hotel had a very friendly front desk manager that was helpful in giving restaurant recommendations. Room was nice and very clean. In a rush to get out the door to attend the golf tournament I left my jewelry case behind. I was really sick about it as I had some of my favorite and sentimental pieces in there. I discovered it missing two days later and had little hope of ever getting it back. After calling the hotel manager I was thrilled to find out that Maria the women who had cleaned the room had found it and turned it in. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely stay here.
I stayed in a king room for several days while in town on business. The property is located right off the interstate but I did not hear any noise from the interstate. The morning breakfast provided both hot entrees and other choices. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I think they may have been short on housekeeping staff as one day my room did not get serviced until after 5pm but it was serviced. The microwave and the refrigerator were nice to have in the room and the refrigerator was larger than most hotels. I did not use the fitness facility or the pool.
