It's a nice Hampton Inn; just what you'd expect. A little nicer and more expensive than the nearby Holiday Inn Express. We stop here often when traveling eastbound on I-64 since I don't like to drive on the turnpike through the West Virginia mountains at night.
Enjoyed stay at Hampton Inn. The hotel and room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a very good location. It is near many places to eat within walking distance and not far from a casino, if that interest you.
Several family members stayed here during a family funeral. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very hospitable and friendly. It’s also right between two restaurants - Fireside Grille is excellent! Great experience.
Great place! Close to shopping, restaurants, bars, movies, anything you would need while traveling. Always clean rooms. Friendly staff. Safe area to stay solo. Great value for the money. Would highly recommend
Nice hotel at good price VERY clean hotel right on the interstate close to several restaurants. Breakfast is okay Price was very good and manager agreed to let me stay another day if weather caused a delay my arrival even though I had paid up front
A really nice hotel that is reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and located directly off I-64. A great self-service breakfast is included with a very wide range of choices. While some literature will erroneously mention that this hotel is located in Hurricane, WV (Exit 34), it is actually located at Winfield / Teays Valley (Exit 39). With so many other businesses co-located at the exit the hotel might be easily overlooked. Look for it set back behind the "Go Mart" gas station, or between "Fat Patty's" and "Fireside Grille". Moreover, "McDonald's" and "Five Guys" are located directly across the street.
I was on site at this Hotel for 5 days on business. Great staff, Clean comfortable room, fast internet. I had no issues during my stay. The Staff was courteous friendly and very knowledgeable of the area.
I would recommend finding another hotel. My wife recently stayed at this hotel with a very bad experience, that has only led to more bad experiences with this hotel and brand. She stayed on 11/27/17, and during her stay the hotel assigned her room to another man who walked in on her. I don't understand how a hotel would not have checks in place to prevent providing access to your room to other people. The front desk was immediately contacted and my wife was made to feel like it was her fault after the woman blamed her for not having the dead-bolt lock in place. Additional reading of reviews afterwards showed that there have been previous complaints of the same issue. The front desk attendant made the situation even worse with their rude approach to the issue. I tried for two days to reach the manager without any success. I then contacted corporate guest services. My claim was filed and I was assured that another manager would be contacting me. I was refunded the points used on the stay and keep being reminded of this. Its a nice thing to do, but it gives me no assurance that the problem is going to be fixed. I have yet to receive a call from the manager as I was assured I would get, so I again called corporate. I was told that there was a glitch in the system and the paperwork wasn't filed correctly. It sounds very similar to the glitch that let a stranger walk in on my wife in a hotel room, while she was travelling alone. I have yet to hear from the site manager and I can only assume that they do not care about what happened and will do nothing to address the issue. Don't trust this location, find another hotel that cares about the safety of its guests. I have been a Hilton Diamond and Gold member for several years, but that will be changing.
`We travel to west Kentucky twice a year and we always stop and stay here. It's clean and nice and right off the highway. I love the nice hot showers and comfortable beds. There are also a lot of places to eat near the hotel.
Classic Hampton Inn, with all the nice touches that let you know it's a cut above. Clean, comfortable, nice, friendly service, good breakfast with good variety from cold to hot, including eggs and such, oatmeal and toppings, etc. Would gladly stay again!
