When we visit Charleston we always stay here!! Always clean!!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn West Ashley the day befor leaving on a cruise from Port of Charleston. It is clean, comfortable, great friendly and helpful staff. They arranged for a shuttle to pick us us and take us to port. Very nice and comfortable place,

When I got a deal online for $100 I wasn't expecting much considering charlestons pricey hotel market, but when we got there it was very nice, clean, spacious, comfortable bed, and tge staff was very friendly. We had a great stay and are glad we found this place :)

When we checked in we were not given what we requested. Upon entering the room we noticed carpet was very stained and had the appearance of being dirty. The toilet was not clean. We were there for overnight stay to attend a funeral so we cleaned up as best we could and unpacked. Just before we were ready to go to bed, we tried to turn on a/c but it would not come on. Called front desk. Maintenance came. Said it was suppose to have been repaired. Worked for a bit. Left. Front desk called said they were moving us. At 10:20 pm we repacked, got dressed again and moved to another room. Staff was helpful and pleasant but this was not what we expected for the money.

Nothing too bad to say about this hotel but nothing great either. We arrived well past check-in time and there was not a room available for us, so we had to wait quite a while. Finally, the front desk staff asked if we would be willing to take what they did have available, which was a similar room but a handicapped one, and we obliged. PROS: -Great price for a hotel in the Charleston area -Complimentary breakfast and coffee/tea was available all day CONS: -Upon entering the room, it smelled a little off--we thought it was either a smoking room, the people before us had been smoking, or something was molding/musty. When we contacted the front desk, he just said it's a nonsmoking room so it shouldn't smell like smoke and that was that. -Sheets weren't that comfortable--the outside of the comforter felt scratchy (in my opinion)

Drove girlfriend down to SC. She did not have apartment yet. Could not/Would not stay with family. Perfect for adult time. nice pool. A little out from where we were looking but fine.

This hotel provided exactly what we needed. It was convenient, reasonably priced, and very clean.

Had a suite with king size bed, bath in one room, sofa bed, in other. Included sink, microwave, small fridge. Very handy for snacks, left overs. Little things brought it down. Vent in bath dirty with dust bunnies, curtain pull rod missing. No pillowcases for sofa bed. Saved us money on breakfast for 3 and happy hour also. Halfway between family and downtown. Feel like they have upped their game.

We have stayed in cheaper hotels that were better. It was okay but, some staff was wonderful, while others were not so nice. It was like they were bothered to have to talk or help you. Our room was not properly clean and we had sanitary issues in the bathroom. The dryer in the wash room was not working also. However the kids loved the pool. The waffles were easy to make but need more than one machine.

Very nice and charming hotel. Clean and inviting lobby with a better than average kitchen for morning breakfast. Very nice details throughout building and rooms were nicely furnished with new, clean furniture and bed. Loved the stay especially for the price. About half of a stay in Downtown Charleston and only minutes away.

Convenient, easy to access, location off of expressway. Close to local attractions and easy to get to and from family friendly activities

good value

My wife and I looked forward to a night away and booked this hotel because of the location, etc. We arrived and everything seemed fine. during the night the A/C started amking noise. We tried to call the front desk, but after our calls went unanswered for 20 minutes we decided to just turn it off. The next morning at check out i was asked how our stay was. I explained the noisy air and my disatisfaction, she completely ignored me. I got my reciept and figured I would call corporate later and straigten things out. I continued to breakfast with my wife. When we arrived in the breakfast area it was crowded. I asked where we should sit and the lady said wherever we could find room, she did'nt seem concerned. Upon returning to the area where the food was located, a few other guest and myself noticed that there were ROACHES on the counter. The other guest and myself left without eating. My wife and I went to a restaurant and ate. This was on a Friday. The following Monday I contacted Hilton's guest services and they stated that if I did not recieve a phone call from the local hotel within 72 hours that they would take care of the situation. 72 hours later I recieved a follow-up email from Hilton stating that they had been told that I was contacted and everything was worked out, this was a complete lie. I called Hilton again by phone and they stated that they would be compensating me with a free nights stay IN THE SAME HOTEL. I explained that this was not compensation but reimbursement, and that I certainly did not wish to stay in the same hotel. The end result was that they were very rude and ended up saying that they were refunding my money and that I did not deserve additional compensation since they were doing this. DO NOT STAY IN THIS ROACH INFESTED HOTEL. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else that you will be appreciated. Hope this review helps. I would like to add that I am a traveling professional and stay in hotels about 3 days a week. This was my first stay, I believe, in a Hilton hotel and will make it a point to stick with Hyatt branded hotels from now on.

Very nice staff and clean rooms.

downtown charleston is a short distance away.

Several old Air Force buddies and I met there for a reunion. We were stationed in Turkey together 40 years ago. The rooms were reasonably clean. They were well furnished with a small refrigerator and microwave. The central lobby and dining area were very nice. There were good restaurants close by as well as the largest mall in the area. Getting to downtown Charleston took just a few minutes. I would stay there again.

beds were awesome, breakfast was great

I had a great stay. I would recommend this to others. Location is great also.
