It was a wonderful experience to stay at NH Urban Royal in Cartagena. The room was modern, clean and well-organized. I really enjoyed staying in that room since the atmosphere invited you to relax. The AC was ok, I never felt hot inside the hotel. Its location was wonderful, I had a magnificent view from my room to admire the beauty of downtown Cartagena. La torre del Reloj looks terrific at night and it is near many other monuments and squares in the old city. There is a swimming pool and a terrace on top of it..Oh my God!!! What a great view. Finally, the people who work there were very efficient. Best hotel in Cartagena ever

The location of the hotel is excellent, you are close to the most attractions of the old city. We enjoyed our room and lovely bedding. It was great to have a little fridge for the leftovers. The staff speaks good English and being very helpful. There were only 2 things I was concern with: One is a super slippery floor in the shower, so be aware! Another is very moldy/musty smell in the elevator and pretty strong too. Otherwise the hotel is quite nice!

Great place inside the magic walled city of Cartagena. The roof top is awesome with a beautiful view and nice pool. Food was delicious and it is also surrounded by the best restaurants in town. The staff was wonderful and made my our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

An absolutely fantastic hotel inside the walled city right by the clock tower. I paid a little extra and had a balcony room on the top floor. Room was large and clean, the walk in shower was the largest I have had in any hotel. The staff were all very friendly. Easy access for for taxi's which is the standard 15,000 COP from the airport. Would stay again at this hotel if I was back in Cartagena.

Was a very pleasant vacations, special because the hotel location and services. We enjoy the hotel roof a lot. The front desk people were always very nice and ready to help. We highly recommended the hotel. Thank you!

Great location inside the gates of the old city by the clock tower. Very nice staff. Also pretty roof top pool. Generally overpriced. Air conditioning system was an instrument of torture coming on and off at will. Other friends had the same experience in other rooms. TV did not work. It is a Spanish owned chain and feels like little attention to the infrastructure. Listed as 4 star but is a high 2.

Great location, small room. Great, friendly service and great food in restaurant. Cramped rooftop pool area with great view of city. Common areas, including pool area, lobby and stairwells could use a face lift

Excellent hotel and value in a great area of the old city! The rooms are very comfortable, and the front desk staff was very attentive and helped with all of our needs. The rooftop terrace and pool has a view like no other. The restaurant downstairs is highly recommended! Will definitely stay here again during next trip to Cartagena!

This hotel is in a great location in the walled city (near the Reloj) and has great rooftop views. However the arrival experience was tarnished as we were given an awful drab room with no exterior windows. Clearly was not pleasant to be in a room with no natural light for 6 nights so we insisted on a move, which I never do. Desk service left much to be desired though we managed to get relocated to a higher floor with a lovely balcony/view but had to deal with the AC (blew directly in your face while sleeping) breaking down every day and no ability to adjust controls. Basic rooms that could do with refurbishing touches to match the package pricing. The lobby restaurant seemed to have good traffic and we loved the cookies (though we were shorted on purchase of a batch we took home as souvenirs). A good location for exploring the delights of the centro historico, but don't expect too much from the room experience/ambiance. Also be aware of the possible noise factor from the salsa club and traffic. Not terribly disturbing though.

We had to change 2 rooms during the night as both were super humid and stinky. We couldn't sleep all night. I am a regular guest at NH mainly in Spain where the standards are way higher. Note that the staff are really nice and helpful.
