We arrived at Casablanca in the late afternoon. We were taken to our room and when the door opened we were very surprised how beautiful (and large) the room was. Frank Sinatra was playing on the stereo, a huge bouquet of lilies on the table and a bottle of prosecco was sitting on ice. Note we were not in a suite, this was a basic room. This hotel has fantastic design. High ceilings, a great terrace with a small pool to cool off and lounge chairs and umbrellas. We spent a lot of time on the terrace as it was too hot to be out all day. On the main floor, there is a great pool if you want to cool off or do laps. The breakfast was amazing (some of the best coffee I've tried) and the staff were all so nice and helpful. They will help you organize whatever you want but they are not falling over you like at a global chain...if you want that then you should stay at the Hilton. This is how great boutique hotels run. Additionally, the hotel was perfectly located just inside the walled city. (If you're looking we ate at some incredible restaurants including Don Juan, Maria, and La Cevicheria. For drinks we went to El Baron twice, such a cool little place with amazing drinks and great atmosphere. In Getsemani we went to Demente for an incredible meal and drinks). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and serene place to stay in Cartagena.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel in the old town, on a quiet street close to all attractions and top restaurants. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here - from what we could see after exploring the neighborhood, this is the best place to stay. Suites are very airy and modern. Bathrooms are nicely done - modern and with great showers. We stayed in two suites and they were lovely. The largest - # 11 - is super large and a great place to stay. All have high ceilings and comfy beds. The hotel is immaculate and beautifully decorated throughout. The main areas of the hotel include an intimate restaurant - where we enjoyed breakfast - a seating area and lovely lap pool with soothing water sounds - and wonderful roof with pool and great lounging area - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast is very nice - great fruit salad and good choice of main courses. Do not be alarmed by the pale lizards - they seem to have the run of the house - including bedrooms. They look after the place! Great restaurant are within a few blocks - including La Cevicheria, El Boliche Cevicheria, El Kilo, Juan del Mar, and others. Great experience!

It was an incredible experience, beautiful place wonderful service great food, breakfast perfect, all personnel well dressed very clean and with an incredible roof top...! Beds are very comfortable and the location is great!

The service was great, Fabio was outstanding and Candy is excellent. They are all very friendly and helpful. The two times we took tours to the beach they had our towels and bottled waters ready right before we left.

My husband and I stayed at Casablanca for 4 nights and it was heaven -- the room and grounds were impeccable. Every time I opened the main hotel door we were met with the smell of fresh lillies. The staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel without a doubt to anyone traveling to Cartagena and hope we get to visit it again.

the woman in the front desk at evening very heedless, the room is not very clean, needs a vacuum cleaner, in the room no cutlery and napkins for the fruit, no iron, no sandals, no five stars hotel details.

Casablanca had everything I needed and nothing superfluous. For me, Cartagena was a cultural exploration, so I wanted to be within the walled city at a boutique property, and while I wanted a quality hotel to return to each night, the fancy restaurants and concierge of a Four Seasons weren't the focus. Casablanca balances being right near all the old city action with also being a very tasteful and private oasis. I found the high ceilings and elegant minimal decor both beautiful and practical, and the fact that my first floor room had indoor and outdoor showers was a lovely surprise. The rooftop pool is more than sufficient for a quick dip or a relaxing break from exploring. Sure, Sofitel has a gorgeous property and lovely bar, and it was worth the visit, but I'm glad I had Casablanca as an escape from the stimulation of the city. Overall it's an ideal spot for someone seeking a slightly upscale property but who will be exploring Cartagena rather than just sitting at the pool all day.

With the cruise ship phenomenon hitting Cartagena, it's necessary to have a calm place to rest your head. This B&B was lovely in that regard...very nicely appointed, only a dozen rooms, great breakfast and staff. Rooms are big, shower was enough for an army, very luxe and just enough off the beaten path, but walkable to everywhere. I read other reviews of noise, but that wasn't our experience.

Casablanca B&B was a wonderful and beautiful hotel to have chosen on our first visit to Cartagena. The staff, environment and location could not have been more ideal. The hotel was extremely well maintained and everyone who worked there went out of their way to see that whatever our needs or concerns, they were attended to. This hotel was a real treat to have stayed in and we were there for 6 days with absolutely no problems.

We had all 11 rooms for our family. Service was excellent. Breakfast crew were amazing. The afternoon receptonist, Kandi, always took care of us. The rooms were decorated beautifully. Housekeeping was always done well. The two pools were always clean and enjoyable. Enjoyed the rooftop.
