Check in from 3pm but as room was ready they let us check in from 2pm, staff were pleasant. Entrance gives nice feel and bar area looked cosy Nicely decorated for Christmas had twin room, was clean, decor fine, had view onto main road. Nice and powerful shower, plentiful warm water. Beds and pillow comfy. Stayed here just before Christmas, great location opposite Motorpoint arena and couple minutes walk to city centre shops, turn left on exiting hotel and go round corner. You’ll see Tesco express there, also handy if need any drinks/snacks, etc Parking I used NCP pellet street - £12 for 24hrs parking - bargain compared to other car parks Would be great if car parking was free while staying at hotel. Dependant on price would stay here again.

Travelling with my disabled mother, nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. Check in was a pleasure and our rooms were upgraded to ensure my mothers comfort. We were treated with utmost respect and most importantly with dignity. What a pleasure to meet such an extraordinary team. Well done 👍

The whole place needs a make over , it looks very tired all over , we were on the 5th floor and there was only one lift working so you could be waiting up to 15 minutes for the lift to arrive, we book a room for three adults and the room was only made up for 2: we had to ring reception for bedding for the bed settee which wasn’t made up , we also had to ask for towels because there were only 2 in the bathroom. We were told they were short staffed but the room was £250 and we felt very disappointed on arrival, also breakfast in the morning was poor , they stopped serving at 10 and we went down at 9 and there wasn’t much left and I could hear a member of staff saying breakfast was finishing soon. All in all a disappointment especially as it was New Years Eve

Walking distance from the train station . The carpet is very old and smelly. the wifi is very strong. the bath is well equipped and clean. the room is well furnished. the reception is friendly and helpful. food is good

Stayed here on the 23rd Dec for my husbands birthday. Check in was quite quick, however the lifts were not and one was actually out of order. When we got to our room there was a member of staff coming out of it with a bottle of wine he said our room was down the other side of the corridor but the information we had was for the room he was coming out of.........strange. He put the wine back in and there was also a birthday card from all staff members. nice touch. 5 mins after we got in a knock on the door and a woman staff member trying to get in, she said oh is everything ok with your room, i said yes lovely thanks, she said sorry about it, and walked off. i thought what is happening here. The toilet flush was terrible, and the bath/shower taps had no indication of what they were for. When we returned after our night out the key card would not work, I then assumed that the receptionist had given us the room down the corridor like the staff member said but wrote down the wrong number on the card. so we should have been in another room. Overall the room was clean and spacious, and was cheap enough for the occasion

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance to many attractions. We only stayed here one night after visiting Cardiff castle on a Trafalgar tour. The rooms were large and warm. The bedding was super cosy on a cold winter's night. Breakfast was good and the bar has lots of seating. There is also a large lounge area near reception. There is a Tesco just across the road if you need anything.

Very Convenient situation to the shopping areas & Castle and Could shop entirely undercover if inclement weather Hotel reception bright & light . Best room lighting in our bedroom we have encountered for a long time

This hotel masquerades as having a refit; the rooms are very poor quality. There is better quality & value staying at a Premier Inn. Do NOT stay at this hotel if you need a relaxing break. There are better hotels in the area. The only saving grace is the location to town. Staff however were very pleasant

Very nice hotel in the centre of Cardiff. Bed was very comfy and room was spacious. Hotel foyer is very modern and a nice space to sit and read! Hotel has parking spaced underneath it, but these are £14 a night so not the cheapest. However, hotel is in an excellent location with lots of shops and restaurants just around the corner.

Good hotel. Ideal location for Cardiff Events. We were going to a gig at the MotorPoint arena. The hotel is literally across the road. It’s also right in the middle of town so ideal for exploring the shopping centre, Principality Stadium or bay. All within walking distance. Decent enough room - no outside window (overlooking the foyer). Good breakfast buffet. Easy parking. Overall, decent city centre hotel.
