Stayed at the hotel on Saturday 19th August. Room spacious clean with usual facilities. Bathroom adequate. Tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a good range on offer. Reasonable cost for night £120 for 2 people. (although I didn't pay for it!) . No air con though so maybe a different story in the hotel Summer weather. Very central to all the "action" - walking distance to shopping centre, Cafe Neighbourhood all major bars and restaurants. Would use again and would recommend for anyone stopping for a weekend break, looking for a hotel that's reasonable clean and central.
A very clean and tidy hotel within walking distance of Cardiff Central train station. the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was superb.
Luckily we used Clubcard vouchers to stay here, if I had paid I wouldn't have been too happy! The rooms are hot, there is air con but no instructions on how to use it properly and a fan which is great for blowing the warm air on you. The room faces out onto reception so there is no outside air to draw in to cool the room down. The shower has 2 settings, hot & burn off your skin. Combined with the hot room it made it pointless even having a shower. Beds are massive however they are 2 singles pushed together. The decor in the reception is really nice, one of the best in Cardiff. The room we had is a little worn but what do you expect for the price. We stayed here while we went out to get drunk in Cardiff, it's great for that but I don't think I'd want to spend much time I the room or pay too much to stay there. I'm not the complaining type, but I am sure I could have been moved if I had complained to staff who were absolutely lovely, however it was pointless for 1 night. Great place to stay for the price!
Stayed here for coldplay concert. Ideal base for anything Cardiff city centre as so close to everything. Nice clean modern hotel. Room was ok size not too spacious. Bathroom was clean and functional. Nice bar area and reception. Staff were good and breakfast was buffet with plenty of choice. £7.50 per adult. Child free. Very nice and tasty. Sarah who was running the busy breakfast area was excellent. Definitely stay here again as it so close to the centre
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Check in staff were welcoming and helpful when we had problems with car parking machine in basement car park. Our room was clean and well equipped, everything was working and the bed was excellent. The bathroom was also very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The drinks fridge in the room came in very handy for keeping small things fresh, as the room was quite warm. A fan had been provided, which we found very useful. At night there was no noise, either from other rooms or the corridor. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. The only downside for us was the car park fee of £14 for 24 hours, but it is city centre.
Came here for a hen weekend with 8 others- price included the room, champagne afternoon tea, use of the spa and a treatment and all for £110 per person which I think is great! Lovely hotel and helpful staff. My only complaint is that in the triple room one of the beds is a pull out sofa which was SUPER uncomfortable so a shame that one of the three of us had to draw the short straw! I think if you're paying for a three bed room, you should get three proper beds
I stayed at the Park Inn on a Saturday night with friends as it was less expensive than getting taxis home. We had 2 x twin rooms on 5th floor. Car park was small and it was cheaper to park 8pm til 10.30 in the nearby St David's car park which is just a 2 minute walk away. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included and had a very good selection of food catering for different tastes. City centre location and just minutes away from bars and restaurants.
...so good that I joined Club Carlsson rewards as I travel to Scandinavia a bit so handy for staying in Radisson hotels. This was a very good value stay, for work, within 7 mins' walk of Cardiff Central train station, very good sleep (great beds!), very good room amenities - it even beat Marriott, where I also stayed in Cardiff on business. Great choice of food at breakfast - really enjoyed it!
Stayed recently at the Park Inn for our wedding anniversary. Very nice hotel and the staff are also very pleasant and helpful. The reception, lobby and bar area are modern and well looked after. The rooms are also clean and well maintained. Some of the other areas you can see the age of the hotel, but nothing to detract from a pleasant stay. Recommended and we have booked again for December.
We were staying there just for one night. The room was specious and in a good location as I were attending Coldplay concert. We have paid £300 for one night just because of the event, therefore we were disappointed with value for money. However, what really let us down was restaurant and bar service. There was knowledge of good manners and customer service. Instead of being asked: 'What would you like?' we were asked 'What you want?' when selecting the food from the menu. There was many more similar situations all very discouraging.
