Desire Pearl is a small but wonderful resort! The food was good to great. The pool was divided into the quiet side and the party side to suit your mood. Ultimately, the concept of the resort, that of a fun, sexy, clothing optional experience is what makes extra special. I would be remiss if I did not mention all the great staff who take the time to get to know you and try their best to make sure your experience is satisfactory. The servers and staff at the restaurants were all great (shout out to Rey, Poot, May, Carlos, Orlando, Isaac). The loungers and beds by the pool are assigned, which was really helpful as we never had to worry about finding a place to sit. Horacio was fantastic all week, making sure we were taken care of. Either Victor or Antonio would check on us each day to make sure we wanted for nothing. The concierge service was very convenient and useful. Mayte was an absolute star, helping us get reservations, answering questions, and being an amazingly friendly person. Lastly, the playmakers were the staff trying to keep people engaged. They would run games by the pool, MC the nightly entertainment, and just chat you up by the pool. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable. An extra special thank you to Abi, Jessica, and JJ!

While the property itself is fine, it basically felt like any other time share property. After paying resort prices, you will be pressured into buying one of their “Premium Memberships”. Once you let them know that you’re not interested in paying more for services that should be included in the rates charged, you will pretty much be on your own for pool and bar services while servers and pool attendants give great service to the “premium” members.. We won’t be returning.
