The location of this hotel is the best part about it. It’s within walking distance of many places, didn’t have a taxi the whole time, other than to the airport. The breakfast is very basic, the reviews said the breakfast was lovely however I wouldn’t say this is the case. In terms of hot food it was scrambled eggs and mini frankfurters. They had pastries which were nice and coffee was good but it wasn’t anything like the reviews said. Staff were very lovely, they are kind and spoke very good English. Lovely lady at breakfast who helps everyone. The staff in general have been helpful. Room was quite clean, (apart from some unusual marks on the curtains) the beds were made everyday. The air-con didn’t work, which was a shame as we didn’t sleep with any covers and the windows staying open meant people could look into the room as the curtains stopped the airflow. The windows had no restrictions which wasn’t safe as we were high up. Also pillows were questionable too, had to ask for softer and less packed ones. LIGHT SLEEPERS...around this area there are a few locals who felt the need to express lots of feelings. I love people who express their feelings, however, to express them in the early hours was quite enough! Even with the windows closed and a pillow over your ear it was still very loud. This is obviously because the location is so central and there are areas (cubby holes) around the hotel where people were drinking and doing drugs. They were simply enjoying life but very loudly at an unfriendly hour! We were both getting back at about 1am ourselves and both shattered couldn’t shut out the noise! This was the biggest let down to the hotel, which isn’t their fault. Didn’t know if it was a weekend thing, but even during the week it was the same!

Located just perfectly. Rooms are spacious, bed comfortable and new bathroom. Temperature control. Staff was always kind and welcoming. Breakfast is simple but nothing is missing. I d definitely go back again if in town.

An overall ridiculous place. A shame on the Budapest`s hospitality palette. Pro: - downtown Cons: - A blond, bored young gal checked us in. She was yawning into the face of the people, who she was checking in in front of us. She was extremely slow - not only that day, and had terrible English. We had a feeling that she does not even understand English, so we even tried German and Spanish with no luck. She was giving us misleading information. - Water leaked from the shower not only into the Bath floor, but to the carpet floor in the room. It soaked. The room had an ugly smell, so we kept the window open. - Room is noisy, there is a bar next to it, which kept open after midnite. People were shouting on the square after midnite - Does not have a restaurant on it`s own - The wellness part is a joke - The elevator is not enough, when people are checking out - Many beggars and homeless people quite close

Clean hotel and room although little bit of scrapes on the paint. Great location Nice breakfast which is continental: various breads, cheeses, eggs, cereal, juices, tea, coffee. Very friendly helpful staff.

Had just visit Regency hotel for 5 nights. A great hotel, with fine and clean rooms. Good bed, and a refrigerator, a small balcony, and a big bathroom. Breakfast was ok, but not so big, but included what we need. Hotel are placed in the middle of a lot of Bars and restaurants, and some small supermarkets. You can find everything you need in less than 5 minutes from the hotel. Underground station, Tramp, Bus, and Airport bus can be reached in a few minutes. Hotel reception are ok, and very helpful, they had an answerer for everything, and if they don’t know they will find it on there PC. Thank you for a great stay, though we had had a false fire alarm in the middle of the night. Look like everything was working.

This was an OK place to stay - 10 years ago....since then the building, the rooms, the bathroom had never seen any refurbishment, refreshment, sometimes not even cleaning. Rooms are dark (not to see immediately how old they are), unstoppable air circulating system is very NOISY, carpets are stained...hair in the bathroom, poor breakfast - with obnoxious tourist groups. Corridors looks like constructions site/ rubbish dump (old, broken furnitures and doors all over). Location is good, but you can find much better places in this area.

Ideally situated just off main road in heart of city. Reception very pleasant and helpful - lent ( with small deposit ) adaptors that we had both forgotten ! Explained where various sites were .Sold us tickets for Hop on /off bus. Phoned for taxis for other guests etc. Breakfast was included in price - continental- cereal, yoghurt, fruit, various meats + cheeses, salad, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, various breads + croissants and normal tea/ coffee etc. Rooms good - just needed a little TLC in places. Tea / coffee in room along with kettle , microwave, fridge etc. Beds very comfortable. Airport bus stop 100E just across road + run every 30 mins.

I went here last week with my wife. The hotel is clean and walking distance to most of the sights. The airport bus stop is located about 500 meters from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are bars and restaurants sourounding the hotel.

All is great so I won't list it here, but for whomever that suffers from very soft mattresses - don't go. They don't offer an option for harder mattresses. Service, cleanliness, value, location, rooms - are all very good. Staff is friendly and useful.

Centrally located to public transportation and local attractions. Easy to get around on foot. Clean hotel, kind of funky décor - maybe a touch tired. My room overlooked the back of other buildings so it was quiet. Shops, restaurants and cafes all close by. Clean and safe. With a large safe and plenty of room for storage. TV and wifi. The TV remote didn’t work too well and they tried to fix it. Friendly, and English speaking reception staff….who were very decent as I needed ice packs freezing for a nasty injury I’d sustained that day. Breakfast included and a good variety of meats, cheeses, vegetables, breads, dairy and cereals as well as a good coffee maker. Serving staff very pleasant and friendly. I liked this hotel and would recommend so your stay in Budapest safe and reasonable.
