Hey, watch out! The hotel is located next to the Chabad House in the center of the city, but there are two types of rooms with and without a kitchenette: I have a single room with no kitchenette, no coffee set, no maintenance room, not clean, very small shower without closing. Very small room, hard bed and uncomfortable sleep. TV that is not smooth with a computer screen, an open wardrobe,
Looking at the other reviews it seems as if this hotel has two standards. I personally had a rather outdated room (307) that definitely had seen better days with tapestry peeling of the corners, stains in the carpet and some areas in the shower where some chemicals would have been appropriate to get rid of some things. Other than that, the room was okay, AC was doing its work, bed was comfy and the breakfast in the morning included all the things that I need and like to have (tomatoes, olives, tuna, goat cheese etc). Staff was very friendly and spoke English, German and of course Hungarian hence no communication issues. The only slip is if you have to rely on parking like I had to, the parking is around the corner - no issue with that - and if you do not know upfront where it is and how the procedure is it is kind of a hassle as you first need to find a temporary parking slot in front of the hotel (non-parking area mostly), get the key card and then parking the car. Obviously the same when you pick your car up as you need to return the key card at the reception - in morning business hour a sheer pain.
This friendly hotel is situated in a central position to a lot of bars and restaurants. Our standard room was clean and had all that was required for the 4 days of our stay and the staff were very informative. The breakfast is very varied and fresh and the staff lovely and helpful, i would stay here again and recommend it. If you like sightseeing the red 'hop on hop off' buses are a must, does an all round trip stopping at all the interesting tourist sights. We had a 48hr ticket but didn't manage to see and do all that we wanted...2nd trip to be arranged! A lot of history and culture in Budapest...i just loved it all!
Really enjoyed our standard room. Well enough appointed. Great breakfast included. Fairly close to railroad station. Can take metro or tram but cab will be about €20. Nice square with many food choices. Fitness centre and sauna. AC was pretty good as it was very hot. Nice front desk staff and very helpful. Nicely located close to shopping district and a short walk to the river. Won't go wrong with this hotel.
Hotel was very nice. It was clean and had good airconditioning. The staff was very helpful and friendly and they also spoke english well. Breakfast was kind of minimalistic and you could see that for example the fruits had been sliced the Day before because they were all dried up and brownish... Although I Would go again!
Stayed 1 night with family while in Budapest before catching a Danube River cruise. Likes * Great location in city center, walk-able to tons of shops and restaurants * Price reasonable * Got room facing away from main road so very quiet * Free breakfast included, quality OK * Free Wi-Fi, reasonably fast (4 Mbps) * In-room coffee and safe * Can email hotel for shuttle from airport to hotel (30 Euro / family) Dislikes * Room looks like it was lost in the 80s-90s, although bathroom modern and clean * Very uncomfortable bed and even more uncomfortable pillow * A/C works but not very cool Since we were only here 1 night, it was fine. But cannot imagine sleeping on that bed for several nights.
This hotel is centrally located and close to one of the main shopping areas on the Pest side of Budapest. Amazing staff and air conditioned rooms. The rooms are not very big (three adults). For our visit it was myself, wife and mother. We had a queen bed with a pull out bed for the third person, it was ok because we did not come to Budapest to stay in our room. Very close to the hotel are the Site-seeing City Tour Buses and BigBus stops. The outer city tour was on the same side of the street as us and the inner city tour was just across the street. the buses run from 0930-1800, a bus normally comes every 15-25 mins depending on traffic. Both are within a 50ft walking distance. One of the main squares is right across the street, the Budapest Eye is less than a 5 min walk from the hotel, where there are a lot of bars and music. One of the main sites "Shoes on the River Danube" is about a 25 min walk from the hotel. One more thing be sure and take the river included in the Bigbus package. Value for money. All in all our stay was pretty good.
Location: the centre of the town, pleasant walks to every direction; rooms very clean, with many lamps; bathroom exceptionaly clean; view to the small square; rich breakfast which you can eat outside on the terrace, pleasan and kind personnel.
We stayed here for the last 3 nights as a couple in room 503A. The receptionist was lovely and gave us a lot of information on arrival. All interactions with staff were perfect. Our room was ready when we arrived, and it was absolutely huge! The safe didn't work in our room but the hotel was able to fix it the following day and allowed us to store our things in their main safe. There's a handy chart in the lift which tells you the busiest times for breakfast. Continental breakfast a little basic but can't complain when it's included in the room price. Only small niggles, the curtains were a little thin so the room got very light in the morning, and the double bed was two twins with a small gap in the middle. Overall very happy with our stay and would stay again.
We stayed 4 nights in connection with our honeymoon, and enjoyed a cold bottle of sparkling wine as a gift from the hotel. The room was so nice with new, very spacious bathroom and there was a fairly priced mini bar. Our room was on the 5th floor with a charming balcony overlooking the vibrant and fairly busy square. We were very pleased with the breakfast menu and the always smiling and helpful staff. Only thing would be to improve the quality of coffee and the juices which tasted artificial to a Scandinavian 😊 We were extremely pleased with the great value for money at such a prime location! Will definitely recommend!
