Regency Suites Hotel Budapest

We stayed here as part of a package deal when we went to the Hungarian GP. The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk away from the centre of the city. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly. Although it doesn't have its own bar there are plenty of bars and restaurants around it. This is a good base to start from when exploring the city

Very good location, nice breakfast bar BUT no muesli! Immediate response to my husband's request for a different bed pillow. Close to metro, tram stop, pharmacy! Electric towel bar for drying clothes (underwear, socks) in the sink. I would stay again. Fast elevator but only one

We stayed in the Regency Suites Hotel while we did a City Trip to Budapest. The Hotel ist close to the City Center and you can reach everything by foot very fast. The Hotel is really beautiful, the staff very friendly. The rooms were very spacious and really nice. They provided everything one needs and was very clean throughout our stay. The breakfast was included in Our price and offered different options for every taste. They offered a variety of cereals, different Kind of breads, eggs and a lot more. I really enjoyed staying at the Regency Suites and would choose it again for a stay in Budapest.

Delivered pretty much everything we expected quite well. Perfect location - 2 min walk to metro , 4 min walk to bus stop ( including the e100 from the airport ) 10 minutes by metro from Budapest train station. Easy walking to the castle , parliament , basilica , synagogue . Lots of food close by, supermarket and bank access ( within 1-3 minutes walking ) Good water pressure. Beds aren't too soft. Fast wifi . Fast check in , check out. Friendly and helpful staff with fluent English skills . Large rooms . In room safes. No noise issues for us . Lots of breakfast choices - including hot items - not stellar but definitely above average . Only con : - dated rooms ( but this is not marketed as a fancy hotel ) . The walls have stains and carpet is probably due for a change at some point but overall the room is clean and the bathrooms are clean , nice, and updated. - needs more than a single chair in a double room . Nowhere to sit .

*Transfer was about 25 mins to Hotel. We booked with Sun Transfers - no problems either way. *Reception - staff were polite and helpful on arrival at midnight & throughout - *Room 303a was allocated - spacious and met our needs i.e Kettle, mini fridge, microwave & sink. On the whole the room was excellent, the only niggle was that the shower needs fixing to the wall properly!.. *Breakfast - Plenty of choice & nice. Only niggle was the Toaster was slow..* Location - excellent. We were able to walk everywhere from here to see the sights, eat dinner etc ... would soundly recommend.

The room was as expected, modestly sized but clean with all the amenities needed. The staff were fantastic with probably the most informative check in I've ever received. Trams and buses are right on the doorstep for venturing slightly further a field, but most of what we wanted to see was within walking distance.

The Hotel is in City Centre or almost there abouts but I was very surprised to see that at nights there was no one manning the gates and no security whatsoever. As early as 10 PM the whole ground floor used to be completely empty. No one at gates or reception. The good thing about the hotel was their breakfast. In fact the only good thing. Also they were nice enough to give us a Balcony Room (Not sure if everyone got that privilege). The Lighting was very very poor. The rooms are small and dingy and it's definitely no where worth it.

Hey, watch out! The hotel is located next to the Chabad House in the center of the city, but there are two types of rooms with and without a kitchenette: I have a single room with no kitchenette, no coffee set, no maintenance room, not clean, very small shower without closing. Very small room, hard bed and uncomfortable sleep. TV that is not smooth with a computer screen, an open wardrobe,

Looking at the other reviews it seems as if this hotel has two standards. I personally had a rather outdated room (307) that definitely had seen better days with tapestry peeling of the corners, stains in the carpet and some areas in the shower where some chemicals would have been appropriate to get rid of some things. Other than that, the room was okay, AC was doing its work, bed was comfy and the breakfast in the morning included all the things that I need and like to have (tomatoes, olives, tuna, goat cheese etc). Staff was very friendly and spoke English, German and of course Hungarian hence no communication issues. The only slip is if you have to rely on parking like I had to, the parking is around the corner - no issue with that - and if you do not know upfront where it is and how the procedure is it is kind of a hassle as you first need to find a temporary parking slot in front of the hotel (non-parking area mostly), get the key card and then parking the car. Obviously the same when you pick your car up as you need to return the key card at the reception - in morning business hour a sheer pain.

This friendly hotel is situated in a central position to a lot of bars and restaurants. Our standard room was clean and had all that was required for the 4 days of our stay and the staff were very informative. The breakfast is very varied and fresh and the staff lovely and helpful, i would stay here again and recommend it. If you like sightseeing the red 'hop on hop off' buses are a must, does an all round trip stopping at all the interesting tourist sights. We had a 48hr ticket but didn't manage to see and do all that we wanted...2nd trip to be arranged! A lot of history and culture in Budapest...i just loved it all!
