For me, this quaint little hotel was perfect. I loved the indoor patio, loved the breakfast (as it was just as the same as some more pricey hotels), and the location was amazing. At the time, their hotel wasn't fully booked so they upgraded my room a bit and didn't charge me extra for it (naturally, I wouldn't have accepted this). My view was of the city centre and I absolutely loved it. It was small but extra cute. As I was "touristing" most of the time, I didn't need a lavish hotel room. Just somewhere I could get clean and wind down for the night. The 24h security at the door was a total bonus that I never considered I'd want to have until I was grateful for it. I was treated respectfully, like a paying customer, and never undermined for being rather young (which can happen a lot).
I would give it 3.75, but unfortunately, that is not possible:-) If you need a place just to take a shower and spend the night during your stay in Budapest this one will do. The room was simple, nothing luxurious. It had a bed, desk and chair and TV, coat racks. While booking if the price includes breakfast, take it. It's nothing big, regular bread, butter, jam, cheese, hams, eggs, but it will save you the trouble of thinking where to go for breakfast. Don't be surprised, but the dinning room is small 5-6 tables. The good thing is there is security guard in front of the main entrance door. The downside to the room I was in that it faced the street, and the windows are not sound proof. So, I couldn't open the window to get fresh air so it was too warm for me at night. Also, the pillows are not good. Ask for one more, or put blanket under it. After all day of walking you'll sleep tight, you won't mind the pillow that much.
The Room and the Hotel: The room was really nice and clean. And even though we were only two people (and only payed for a room for 2) they gave us a room for 4 people, so we had a ton of space. The hotel is placed on the corner of busy streets and can be a little difficult to locate. It is placed right next to the subway and there are a lot of dinning options in the area. Our room faced the small courtyard in the center of the hotel, so we didn't get any noise from the street. The Breakfast: Contained all the standard stuff like bread, juice, yoghurt, milk, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausages, jam, butter and cheese. And for the price the quality was fine. The Service: The people at the desk were really nice and helpful and they all spoke english really well. So all in all, a very nice and quite place, well worth the money
I never thought I would go through this but there is always a first time.Having my bag stolen from my suitcase from the housekeepers and they going through my luggage was the top of it.The hotel did absolutely nothing about it as "I had no way of proving the bag was actually there". Of course, no compensation from the side of the hotel so I am minus 30E which they don't care about. Not to mention that the manager was laughing at me when I was explaining how things are the housekeepers speaking disrespectfully as well.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as this is the worst experience I ever had!
If your planning to stay more then one night, I would strongly suggest to search for an other location. The room is small and cold. The windows did not isolate enough and the cold air kept rushing into the room, and the bed was right under the window, so you can imagine how great it felt... The breakfast was awful, doesn't worth the money they are asking for it. The bread was hard, and awful. They didn't had any real options to choose from... cheese and some tasteless whatever... The orange juice was not orange, and was definitely not juice... Could find any coffee, and there were two ladies (I'm guessing they were the "cooks") standing there talking to each other next to the table -don't understand why, because they couldn't speak any languages, so they were unable to help you- Oh and the "restaurant" has like 4 tables.... Your better off if you do not buy breakfast, and go to the Burger king, which is right next to the hotel. If your staying one night and your on a budget I guess its okay though....
Room: 4/5 Location: 5/5 Reception: 4/5 Breakfest: 1/5... Great location next to metro stop. Rooms were big and clean. Overall good value for money. Reception staff were also really friendly and gave us good tips about the city. And then the breakfest... Okay food was basic Hungarian level but the customerservice was worst i have ever experienced on trips. EVER. This one guy managed to ruin my morning every single time we were there. His comments and attitude to CUSTOMERS were just really terrible. I also know his attitude pissed of few other couples as well. Unfortunately this one guy is the reason for 2/5. It affected on my overall experince about the place. If you rule out the breakfest its 4/5. So my note to other travellers: Great place and value for money. But forget the breakfest!
Ours was a last minute booking, just 2 weeks prior to travel. We got a big, palacy room for 4 for just 2 occupants at a very good cost. Location is very good, very central. Entrance is very secret and took us a while to figure out. Clean neat place with good antique look with central terrace. Very good eateries nearby.
We were 5 nights at total in a split (at the middle of the trip we went for two days to Vienna). First we got a small room in the second floor with a window to the street which is quite noisy. When we came back, we got another room on the first floor - a larger room and that corresponds to three people. The rooms were clean and comfortable. In one of them was a fridge. At the room on the first floor, the air conditioner is above the window and when you turn it on, it creates a very disturbing noise. Therefore, you can't sleep while the AC is working. Breakfast was very basic so we chose to eat breakfast out. The staff was very nice, helped us with any questions we had and let us leave our luggage at special room while we went to Vienna at no additional charge. The hotel's location is excellent. Located in a central area, 2 min from tram and metro station is a few meters. 20 min to the river and 15 min to central station Kaleti by foot!! Burger King, McDonald's, shopping center and SPAR are just few min from the hotel. The entrance is to hotel is possible only by the room card and is 24/7 secured by a security guard. The price is not expensive for the value you receive.
Four days in Budapest with friends, it was clean and friendly, loud if on the 1st floor as no double glazing. If going in a group go in twin rooms not quads as they are newer with working aircon! Very central can easily walk to bars. Also above a Burger King! Perfect for late snacks....
We were staying 3 nights in this hotel, and we asked for silent room. And that's what we got! Room 305 was very nice and silent, we slept so well! Bed was nice and comfortable, room was very nice and tidy. Shower was working well.. I have nothing to complain. Stuff in hotell was very friendly. Location for this hotel was perfect, metro is just couple of meters from the hotel door.
