A nice stay. Good breakfast with a great variety. The room was clean- unfortunately we were given a smoking room, which we did not book. Staff were generally helpful, especially with public transport directions. Enjoyed the pool area.
1. Pack of Pringles opened and eaten ( and closed like it is full ). 2. Parking card - not working 3. Not possible to get an iron(4 stars !!! ) 4. Breakfast - disaster ( we got the table that was dirty - lady just came and in front of my eyes tried to clean the rest of the bread with her hand - left by other people before us. I could not believe this. 5. Room cleaning, new shampoo etc. - also disappointed. 6. If the 4 * hotel has wellness I think slippers/ flip flops are 'the must' I don't have a good word for this one, really. And I am not complicated but when it is too much of bad experience at one place I cannot help myself to share.
ive stayed at hotel 20 times in last 8 years and 2 weeks each august for ziget fes i love the hotel , but i wont stay this time unless they get a new toaster as it takes about 10 minits to warm the bread without browning it ,please get a new one and ill come back 4 times a year thanks mike room 208
Front office staff was very helpful and courteous. The buffet breakfast provides a variety of options. Scrambled eggs are amazing!! Tap water is safe to drink!! Don’t buy from them, they’ll charge a bomb. Otherwise a class hotel with updated facilities in the room. One can even exchange currency here. A bit far from city centre but there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel so not a big deal.
We spent a couple of days at the Rubén which we thoroughly enjoyed. Special mention must be given to Ariadne (I think that was her name) she was the receptionist. Her patience shown to us was excellent. We really put her to the test with our questions. The spa facilities were well worth using and the breakfast was delicious
I stayed here for a few nights over the Budapest marathon, the hotel was slightly further out from the centre than I expected, and the rooms weren't the best I have stayed in. But the customer service was the best of any hotel I have ever been to. Adrien who worked at the front desk always greeted people with a smile, and assisted with any issues or problems I had and was very accommodating. She is the reason I will go back, and would recommend the hotel to my co-workers when going to Hungary on business. I will definitely go back, thank you Adrien. Jacob
I have stayed at Hotel Rubin on few occasions. I found this hotel to be comfortable with spacious rooms. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty to choose from a good selection. Location is good, easily accesible by public transport. Few stops from Liberty Bridge and Gellert Bath. Great location if you are visiting VitalEurope, 10 minutes walk away. I really enjoyed my stays and will be back on my next visit to Budapest.
I ve got a room to the park, therefore it was very green and silent. My triple room had also 2 doors, thus there was NO noise from the corridor. However, the guys at the front desk were not easy ... .
Quiet hotel off the beaten track and away from backpackers, this hotel attracts an older class of tourists as its not near the bars and clubs but five minute walk to Kelenfold station you have direct access to the city by metro or as we preferred the old style soviet tram number 49 from the rear of the station via exit A and we would jump of at Fővám tér M just over the bridge in the center of town. We had breakfast every morning and there was plenty to choose from and all fresh and hot. my only niggle was some rude people were filling their thermos flasks from the hot water urn instead of asking the kitchen staff for hot water. great hotel, great staff and a very nice room with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
I stayed in this hotel for two nights, I did aspect something more. After my trip to Baku I needed an hotel close to the airport because I had to get a flight, but it's 45 minutes far from the airport if there's traffic. At the check-in I found a nice and well preparated girl as receptionist. I was 5 hours early than the check-in time but I was very tired and I needed to sleep, so the girl at the front desk found me a solution and after 15 minutes she gave me a suite room for free upgrade, and I just payed the early check-in. The room was spacious, living room, bedroom, bathroom, closet and safety box, tea and coffee machine, two tv. The hotel is not a modern building, so the room wasn't too modern as well, it was a old style hotel's room The problem was that the room was too much dusty, and that is a big problem for me as I am allergic but for two nights I didn't ask to change the room. The breakfast was good enough with different choices like sweets and beacon, sausages, eggs, cheese, jams, yogurt, fruit. The restaurant Amaretto serves good food, I had dinner two times and I always enjoyed the dishes I ordered. Last day I also met the chef and had a nice conversation to. The fitness and wellness area are a good place where have relax and I enjoyed. The staff was kind all the time and helpful. Only the day before my departure I went to the reception in the evening to pay and closed my position, the girl at the front desk was not so friendly and nice, I asked the wake up call for the 7:00 am, well, the day after I didn't have the wake up call! And that is not nice when you have a flight to get. The day of my departure, I found the girl who made my check-in the first day, she has been nice and helpful with the taxi calling. An everage hotel with a good staff, good restaurant and a good wellness centre.
