Baross City Hotel

Small rooms with uncomfortable beds (short, creaky), big noise from other rooms (flushing toilet, shower, ...), mishandle of organization breakfast (breakfast room is too small with only few places for sitting - you need to wait long time), not enough vegetable for breakfast.

We have stayed in the Baross City Hotel for one night before we were traveling further. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfy. Receptionist lady was very friendly and helpful. The man by the gate was a bit rude (I’m not sure if he works for the hotel or just looking after the whole building). I was missing a place where to sit on the balcony as it was lovely weather in the evening and we just wanted to sit outside. Overall it was good.

The hotel reception is on the 5th floor which is odd. A security man sits inside the street door which makes you feel safe. Unfortunately the beds are very hard and the noise travels easily between rooms and from the reception area if noisy customers are around.

The location was great. Within 1 minute you will find trams, trains, metro, trolly bus,and bus. Its also within walking distance to the centre of the city. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good but could be more varied. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay there in future. Over 65's travel free in the city, what a great bonus

We recently had a 4 night stay in Budapest. I had searched for hotels when I saw this one. I had to double check that the price was for 2 because it seemed to be low. And wow was it worth every penny. Having informed them that I had impared mobility we were given a room close to lifts, reception and dining room. Our room was enormous, well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was included and there was ample choice from a buffet breakfast and all fresh. It is located close to mainline station and metro. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location for a hotel, right next to a metro station which is very handy. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room we stayed in was pretty basic, but clean and tidy. Ideal location if you are going for a short break and are looking for a place to crash. There was also a safe available free of charge! The only downfall was that it was a little noisy at night, but that did not bother me too much. Great stay. Would recommend & definitely go back!

The hotel is very easy to get to from the airport, opposite the main train station. The room was small but perfectly adequate for our 4 nights. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

First time travelling on my own and the staff at Baross Hotel made it a joy... From the first arrival, to my last request for a late night cup of tea, and advise in between, the staff were excellent. Thank you

The hotel is on the fifth floor, but there are two elevators. The people there are really nice. It's only 30 minutes walk from the synagogue. The breakfast is fine, super basic. The rooms are clean, but small beds

I like to stay at the Baross Hotel when I am in Budapest, primarily because the people who work at the hotel are so friendly and helpful. I also like the location of the hotel, as it is right across the street from the Keleti train station and above two metro line stations under the street. Also, the #7 bus which takes me to the Rudas Spa stops in front of the hotel.
