We stayed at the royal boutique hotel for 4 nights and were pleased with the accommodation. The breakfast is buffet style and as you would expect in a hotel of this type. The rooms were a bit on the small side but adequate for our stay. The reception staff were all polite, friendly and spoke English. The hotel is situated very well for public transport with metro and buses nearby. The area around the hotel is not the poshest place in Budapest but we never felt uncomfortable. We would stay here again if we were in Budapest. However, I would not recommend asking the reception staff to book a taxi. Although our transfers to the airport were prepaid, on our return I discovered the hotel had charged me £4.06 for the phone call! That is a rip off!
The hotel was very much ok...small room and not located in a very nice area. However the staff are very helpfull, breakfast is really nice and there is a metro station very near by which makes the city very much accessible.
Just returned from a 3 night break at this hotel in Budapest, The rooms are clean & basic , bed comfortable & shower facilities good. The hotel staff are friendly & so helpful, we booked the two day hop on hop bus plus boat tours & thought they were good value for money, Hotel is about 35 minute walk to the main square but by using the hop on hop off buses we could pick up a bus close to the hotel , there are also buses , trams & metro close by ,
I have stayed at this hotel on two recent occasions. ~August and December 2017~ The hotel is located at Keleti, not far from city center and within a short walking distance to metro, pharmacy, grocery store and the central railway station. Arena Plaza shopping mall is located on the other side of the railway station, about 15-20m walking from the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and have a really good knowledge about their city which they are happy to share with their guests. Javad is no exception he is friendly, takes the time for a chat and had a strong recommendation for a restaurant in the city, i unfortunately had to take a pass. Next time! :) The personnel at this hotel is truly exceptional. Roms are a big and cozy with your own A/C unit which is good for a hot summer's day and of course bathroom, safe and a fridge. My overall experience staying at the this hotel is Good, a good 4 star hotel in the beautiful city of Budapest. I strongly recommend this hotel for every kind of travelers. A+
Nice clean hotel It’s not in the centre of Budapest but within walking distance of everything, I like to see the other sides of places and this hotels location gives you that. Friendly helpful staff with good recommendations of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again.
While our friends had issues in their room my stay passed without incident Pro Good value Breakfast while basic was filing Bathroom well proportioned Front desk Dan was great along with all. Other staff and Javad was always friendly and happy to help Cons Tiny beds Heating a little noisy All in all good value The area is a typical train station neighbourhood but a pleasant 20 min stroll into the centre
This hotel is really handy for Keleti Station. I'd call the style a little art deco, and pleasant enough for it too. Staff on the reception desk, especially the 7 a.m guy were competent in English, as I am embarrassingly not with Hungarian. Breakfast was fine. Buffet style and no complaints with that. Staff welcoming throughout the hotel. Well done ! Where it lacks are no coffee or tea in the rooms, and the narrowest of beds. They were comfy enough but ... Shower was excellent, one of those massive shower heads with pressure to match. All in all, quite a nice chintzy place, but nothing beyond the shower to make your eyes water! 😊
We stayed in the hotel for three nights and were very disappointed in a service we received. Members on a front desk were not willing to help sorting our issues with lost keys to a suitcase. Instead they circular area neat the station where " you might get help". Completely cairless. Staff in dining hall were swere unfriendly, no smiles, no " good mornings" , no friendly appoch. They did speak very little English Rooms were not cleaned every day, rubbish left for two days, blankets were so small as if they were for babies. Pillows old and very uncomfortable. The best part of the stay was that we left.
Hotel is a 2-3 star hotel near the station and a 25 minute walk from the centre of Budapest. It's reasonably clean, quiet ( despite being close to the station). The breakfast has a sufficient range of hot and cold food, nothing special but enough to keep you going. The beds are narrow ( 2' 6'' ?) and the bed linen and towels appeared worn. Suitable if you want a 50 Euro a night hotel, but probably not worth anymore than that. Would stay here again if the price was cheap
When we arrived we were given room key and then found it was a double bed went back down to reception who said they would sort which they did but the single beds are very narrow. The room was small as well. Bathroom a good size though ad all very clean. Breakfast dining room very small had to queue and wait for a table . Plenty of selection of food scrambled eggs, toast, pastries, boiled eggs, some type sausage, tea coffee orange juice (watered down or very week) Bar/lounge area very small. Reception staff were great so helpful. Good position.
