I had a problem with my reservation that was completely my fault and the manager, Mr. Szajcz, went way out of his way to help me. He and his staff run a great facility in a very professional manner. The breakfast is large and diverse with many servers keeping the items supplied. The location is close to public transit, grocery stores and restaurants.

We had a great stay! The view was gorgeous, staff was hospitable, room was clean and beautiful. Breakfast was great too! Large variety.

It was a very pleasant stay. Excellent service, good rates. access to bottled water through the day even though the quality of tap water in Budapest is excellent. Very good continental breakfast with excellent local sparkling wine. Good taste on decoration.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Palazzo Zichy. Its renovation was splendid; modern and elegant at the same time. The staff were very helpful, the room so comfortable, and the breakfast varied and truly exceptional. There was fresh juices, a wide assortments of breads, cheeses, meats, spreads, eggs, and multiple choices in coffees. And all this at very reasonable rates. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in; We couldn't have been more satisfied.

This stay was my fourth time at Palazzo Zichy and when I will visit Budapest again I plan to stay there.

We stayed at the Palazzo Zichy for 3 nights during our first visit to Budapest. The hotel is very lovely with a clean, inviting lobby, updated comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. There arebfree water bottles and coffee bar until 6p and a wonderful breakfast each morning. It is on a quiet street by a church at the edge of the inner city. There are a few restaurants nearby which we did not try but seemed nice. All the areas and streets toward the inner city were great. However, traveling the other direction away from the hotel toward district VIII was often dark and secluded. We never had a safety problem, but it did not always feel comfortable. The hotel was very helpful with setting up reservations and transportation. Definitely recommend the MOL Bubi bike share to get around. The staff made nice recommendations for meals, however we found that most of them were "fancy" expensive places. We used recommendations from friends and from walking around that were better and more affordable. Overall a great stay, we would definitely recommend the hotel with the understanding that it is not in the heart of everything and looking up restaurants on your own.

The hotel is in the middle of restaurants and pedestrian street. Easy access to anywhere in the city

Fabulous. A gem of a hotel. Great stay. Elegant. Fabulous find and get value. Breakfasts were outstanding

We enjoyed staying in this hotel. Very helpful staff.

Brilliant location and staff and tremendous breakfast. Hotel was super clean and had everything we needed.

This hotel surpasted my expectations as the staff and the help they gave to I first time visitor made for a pleasant end of vacation.

This is a great trendy hotel located close to public transportation. Parking off street primarily. Room are very nice, clean and modern. Great bed. Breakfast is unbelievable. So many choices and great service.

I visited Budapest annually. I stayed at Palazzo Zichy two consecutive years and it was best hotel for the price.

Mom and 25 year old daughter traveling from London, to Vienna, to Prague, to Budapest, to Salzburg, and then back to Vienna and London before heading home to US and China. This was our first time in the city and we found it beautiful, easily accessible, and very tourist friendly. We took a taxi to and from the train station to the hotel----we usually use public transportation, but would have found it hard to initially find the hotel since it was tucked away. Once my daughter got her bearings, we found that the hotel was in a great location for walking to shops, restaurants, and cafes, as well as easy accessibility to very good public transportation. Room exceptionally clean and spacious, staff super friendly (they loved hearing where we ate), good wifi, great full European breakfast. Just wish we knew Parliament tours were limited in schedule by native language----staff knew this, but we never heard about it and missed the tour---they should post this for tourists. Would have been nice to have a few more English channels on the TV---nice to keep in touch with world news while traveling. Since we were out in the cold all day, we were often beat by early evening. Would have been nice to have something to watch on TV just to relax. We don't speak Hungarian--as most travelers don't. Good thing we had computers with us. Hotel manager did provide a personal dvd collection and there was a dvd player in the room. Great walk-in rain shower. Just would have like an electrical outlet near a mirror. Great perk--free bottled water AND specialty coffees/hot chocolate in the lobby each day until 5pm. Great when you travel in the winter!!!!! By far and away, our favorite hotel of the whole trip when you look at all factors. We loved you Palazzo Vichy!

Hotel is wonderful, breakfast in the morning was great! Many options and all included! The staff was great and super helpful. Hotel had a nice small gym and sauna. Room itself was super comfortable and it was a very cute boutique hotel! The downfall is the location is a little far away. Close to the subway station but off the 4 line and a little further away from the main sights. Easy to access but a little further way from the downtown. Overall balance the preferences. The hotel is really nice inside and comfortable. You will have to trade off and plan the extra time. Might be a good option if you are arriving via train as it is off the same subway line as the train, two stops away.

Location was good, not great. Everything else was terrific.

This was the second time I stayed in this hotel while visiting Budapest and I would return again.

The hotel is truly fabulous in every way and I would like to particularly mention the reception staff that goes over and beyond to help in every way possible. However you should keep in mind a couple of things (which do not change my full recommendation of this hotel). Location Even if it is in the city center, the truth is that it is at its edge. This means that you have to walk around half an hour or change two trams (2 & 46) to get to the actual city center (5-15 min depending on traffic and destination). However the hotel is very close to the Liberty Statue, the Cave church and other attractions. Also the neighborhood does not feel as safe as the city center at night; there are a lot of homeless people sleeping on the benches and beggars in every corner (most are harmless but a few are a bit bold). Let me be very clear: I’m not saying that it is not a safe neighborhood, just that it feels slightly less safe that the city center. Amenities- Corridors It is minor, even silly, but I didn’t much care for the toiletries. I think that such a hotel should pay attention to every detail and the toiletries did not live up to the hotel's very high standards. Also, the first two days there was a slight odor in the corridor of our floor (5th) but it went away the next couple of days. All in all it was an excellent stay and I have already recommended this hotel to all my friends.

Very nice place. Quite friendly staff and a very excellent breakfast. Rooms were comfortable.

Great location convenient to the Metro. This is a well run hotel dedicated to accommodating their guests. The staff is well trained and attuned to guests needs. While we have read some reviews with negative comments on the breakfast we were there three days and experienced sufficient variety in their breakfast offerings. Actually we were very pleased with their breakfasts. The only word of warning is their basic rooms are nice but very small. We had a junior suite whose size was entirely acceptable. We chose Budapest and the Zichy to get over jet lag and have absolutely no regrets with our choice. You cannot go wrong with the Palazzo Zichy Hotel.
