Quite often call in this pub for evening meal. Good quality food and reasonable priced The service is good and the pub has good atmosphere. We usually eat in bar area, but there is a lovely dinning room if you prefer formal dinning. Best to book for weekends as does get busy

I have stayed many times at this establishment when working locally. Rob the landlord is a diamond, nothing is to much trouble and he always looks after me. Kev the chef is brilliant, never had a bad meal here and I have probably stayed there over 40 nights. Rooms are clean and comfortable and excellent value. Restaurant meals and breakfast are excellent value, and very good standard, I have probably worked my way through the menu and will say the cajun chicken is fantastic! If you want an extra "kick" to it ask Kev, he'll sort it! Ideally placed if you are visiting Buckingham or surrounding area, lovely countryside right outside you room door! For anyone visiting Addington Manor the folly is perfectly placed! Great value, friendly service, clean & comfortable, would reccomend to anyone! Make sure you say hi to Freddy!

I've just spent three nights there whilst working locally. The owner was very accommodating offering to buy an extension lead for my colleague who needed access to more.plug sockets than the room had. The bedrooms themselves are very clean and warm, the bed comfortable and there were enough towels and some soap. The rooms are a little dated now but perfectly functional. It was also lovely to step outside in the morning and get some fresh air rather than being stuck in a corridor. The food was great, with good portions, plenty of choice and sensible prices. The chef may look extrovert, but doesn't bite! Overall great value, I would happily return here either with work or my family.

I stayed here for one snowy night in December. I paid £25 including breakfast from Lastminute.com The single room (11 ?) was very warm and the radiator was right next to the bed. The room was very small, the en-suite was a reasonable size and only slightly smaller than the bedroom. The shower had a notice warning that the water could be very hot. I didn't have a problem with than, but the water did change temperature up and down very briefly at times during a shower. The toilet seat was broken, but not enough to make me worry that I might fall down the pan or pinch something delicate. There were no toiletries supplied and just a couple of towels. I ate there in the evening and the food was excellent and very well presented (unlike the chief who looked like he would be more at hone on the back of a Harley). Breakfast was also excellent. As already noted in a previous review, the owner/manager is a little blunt. If this pub spends some money improving the rooms, then it would make an ideal base for touring Buckinghamshire and central England. Unfortunately, as it is now 2 nights would be enough for most people.

The Room was Damp, the Shower Room Was Mouldy, Lampshade was broken, decoration - nothing matched. You had to unplug the TV to plug in the Kettle. Curtains were transparent. In fact we turned around and went back to inform the Staff that we were not staying because of the above. He totally disagreed with our assessment and instead of trying to discuss the matter amicably he grabbed the room key and walked off.

Had 2 nights here and booked online, all looked good. On checking in the room was a bit shabby and the matress very thin making the bed very hard. Had a meal in the bar, which I must say the food was brilliant. Although we stayed 2 nights, the room wasn't made up for the 2nd night and no fresh towels were supplied, which is bad. The place has al thr right ingredients, they just don't come together and it is a shame

we stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 young children, the rooms were clean tidy and most of all warm, there was a childrens play area and room for a kick about. The pub was very friendly and the food although only pub food was of a high standard but low cost also having a childs menu, " the steak pie was worth the visit alone" overall a very good stay at a cery reasonable cost
