The Warwick hotel was extremely comfortable. Central location, walking distance to all the major landmarks. 60 second walk to the train station (central station). Very friendly hotel staff, slow check-in and out but staff apologetic. There are no plug sockets next to the bed so if you like to charge your phone whilst in bed bring extra long charging cables. I’d definitely stay here again!
I stayed in the Hotel Barsey at the recommendation of my cousin who lives in Brussels. I highly recommend it to the business or pleasure traveler for it's friendly and helpful staff, it's charming appointments, and it's reasonable price.
I went to this hotel for business. When I arrive my room, the room wall had an access door to the next room. I heard very clear noise and TV sounds though the door. When I enquired to reception, he explained normally this was family room so that they opens door for a family. I said they should at least notify me before my booking. He explained it is fully booked so that they didn't have any room left. He even joked that 'If someone get into your room you can call police' and laughed. I wasn't amused by his comment. It is very unprofessional. Never stay this hotel.
Positives first : helpful reception staff and all very clean and correct. Fundamental negatives: stifilingly hot room with windows that didn't open and air conditioning which was both noisy and ineffective. Shower where the water drains so slowly you end up in a bath. Possibly the worst breakfast I can remember. Tired ingredients, many run-out, bad coffee and limited staff. At the price it must be possible to do much better.
This hotel has made unauthorized charges to my credit card. We stayed at the Hotel Barsey by Warwick in Brussels for four nights from 9.10.17 -13.10.17. The booking was made in August via Hotels.com and paid for in advance by credit card. At check-in I was asked for my credit card ‘for security’. Later that day I found a pending payment of £308.47 on my credit card account. When I queried this, I was told that it was normal to ‘block in a certain amount for security, in case there were any extras’ and assured that the credit card centre would be contacted. This assurance was repeated at check-out, but on arriving home I found a further charge of £309.67 pending on my credit card account. My credit card company have approved the payment even though I had not authorized it. I am now faced with the prospect of trying to recover £617.94 charged fraudulently to my account.
This hotel is beautiful, around the avenue louise, we are enjoying calm and tramway a few step away from the hotel. The staff is very friendly Room are wonderful (junior suite for us), bathroom are clean and the view is amazing. Breakfast is perfect. All is possible at the Barsey Hotel
An ok hotel, with very nice staff and good beds. But with some issues that was far below my expectations on a 4 star hotel room. The window was dirty (fingerprints etc), and the breakfast was disappointing. Not too much to choose from at the buffet, some of the bread really dry. I had expected more.
I came to this hotel part of a group, and we appreciated the experience very much. The overall welcome area was impressive and nicely arranged, with easy access to the lifts and the restaurant area. Wifi connection was provided freely with the friendly help from the reception staff. The rooms were most confortable with a nice touch of charm. Overall, breakfast was decent and we felt really well treated. Will definitely pay another visit.
Good location, but the rooms left something to be desired. Passage in room is pokey and dark, our plug in the basin did not close and was never fixed. The toilet leaked, but was fixed the next day. The bed was fine and there were coffee facilities as well as a fridge. Continental breakfast was very good.
It's always good to come back to a friendly hotel! The staff makes the difference that's why it's always a pleasure when I visit. It feels like home... The GM is doing great and keep up the good work!!
