Our stay of 2 nights at the Pand hotel was an unforgettable experience. We were received by the most kind and helpful staff and this reflected the perfect service we encountered during our entire stay. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which turned out to be a very beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated room. Although the hotel is located just minutes away from the main attractions of the city, the neighborhood is quiet and there is no noise at night. The breakfast was marvelous and we also enjoyed the free city tour offered by the hotel.
This small hotel provides every bit of luxury, service and wonderful location that you could want. Walking distance to so many of the amazing places to see in Bruges, the rooms are impeccable and the breakfast was delicious. The staff could not be more helpful or kind.
A wonderful, friendly, smart and clean boutique hotel. We were greeted as VIP's and that lasted throughout our stay. Breakfast is exceptional - Better than a 5* hotel with table service, white table cloths, great food and a glass of champagne included at an amazing price. Location is perfect - a quiet street just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the city. Limited secure parking available but you really don't need a car here.
We stayed for 4 nights in a Junior Suite, Room 305 and had a pleasant stay. The room was a good size. We did not have any noise issues, and we are light sleepers. The shower had good water pressure (that is sometimes a rarity even in nice hotels in Europe.) The location could not be beat, you are a half block from the most photographed spot in Bruges, and a short walk to just about everything. We particularly enjoyed Minnewater park and walking around the town. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to get to the train station, which was good as we ended up doing a day trip to Ghent. If you have the time, it is worth seeing, even if you only go to see the altarpiece and the castle. (We felt like we had seen the highlights of Bruges in two days, so had a bit of extra time.) In terms of potential areas for improvement, the pillows and towels could use an upgrade, which would be more in keeping with the hotel's luxury image. The bed was also a bit firm for our tastes, but that mainly just a matter of personal preference.
This hotel was delightful, with the lovely décor being outshone by the great staff who were all friendly and extremely helpful. I can understand some reviews commenting on the size of rooms. We had a junior suite which in terms of size in most other similar priced hotels we've stayed in would be no more than an grade or two up from the entry level room. There was no separate seating area and the bathroom was very small for the standard of hotel and room. The towels were also disappointingly non-fluffy for a luxury small hotel. However these are all nit-picking points. Our experience was none the more disappointing for them. The morning breakfast (with or without he sparkling wine referred to by our waiter as the 'special' fruit juice) was delicious and a real highlight. The bed and linens were conformable and sumptuous, toiletries very good, the décor tasteful and somehow in-keeping with the city, and the staff all incredibly helpful. The hotel is fantastically located. so near the centre and great restaurants. We could not have positioned it any better. It was also down a side street off one of the busy thoroughfares. We had a room looking onto Pandreije and although not silent was definitely a peaceful retreat from the busy tourist packed street. While not cheap, and despite the very minor quibbles, I'd certainly recommend this hotel. Above all else the staff are worth a huge amount. Their helpfulness, friendliness and recommendations were without fault. And one PS - do take advantage of the hotel's free walking tour of the city!
My wife and I stayed here in December last year, visiting Bruges as a Christmas present from my wife. The hotel was beautiful with very cosy bar areas that felt more like sitting down in an impressive living room than in a hotel bar. Bruges was beautiful however a few negatives. Food - very limited choice around the town centre. Each restaurant had a carbon copy of each others menu. My wife cant eat Gluten and had a terrible break foodwise. The city - Bruge seemed more of a drinking and eating holiday - not great considering the above - and in terms of places to visit, we saw most things within a day. Great city to visit for chocolate, drink and food (as long as you don't have wheat allergies).
The hotel is in a quiet street just off the main tourist area- so well located. It is a small luxury hotel. The bedrooms are a little small but very well appointed. Comfortable beds . Nice bathroom with plenty of nice toiletries. The breakfasts are very luxurious- with a glass of champagne. All of the hot food is freshly cooked for you. All the other foods of high quality. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Thoroughly recommended
Very noisy from the restaurant over the road. They put their glass bottles out nightly at 2am whilst having a full on loud conversation Room very small and luckily we are both slim enough to fit onto the toilet that is crammed between the bath and wall Booked and paid for double room but this was 2 singles pushed together so one of us would fall down the crack in the middle Wouldn't stay again unless was for one night and their was a 50% discount offer on
Our stay was amazing. Everything was perfectly arranged by the wonderfull and kind staff. Room was very clean and delightfull romantically furnished. The breakfast was superb. Big thums up for the staff and hotelmanagement.
We really enjoyed our stay at this small hotel on a tree lined street. The stay started off great with a free 2 1/2 hour tour of the town. There were about 8 of us and the guide went longer than planned. He was excellent and we walked all over. The rooms were fine. The a/c was good and the location great- right off the canal. There is a small restaurant around the corner for coffee and rolls for breakfast. We walked from the train station which was about 3/4ths of a mile. The staff was friendly and helpful- we are returning in the fall and will stay here again.
