The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property and room was clean and the breakfast was very impressive!
The Lux Verde Hotel is a good option if you're visiting the Sedona area. The hotel is in Cottonwood, which is a small town located about 20 minutes from Sedona. It's not that close though because it's 20 minutes of highway driving with no traffic, so if you're in Sedona and need to return to the hotel for a nap or something else, that's another 40 minutes that you need to add to your schedule. I believe, however, that given the high rates of most hotels in Sedona, the Lux Verde is a very good alternative. My wife and I would leave the hotel in mid morning to get to Sedona and spend time there until late in the evening (after taking tours, dinning, shopping, etc.), so it worked out fine for us. The hotel itself is dated but clean. The beds were too hard for my taste, and the bathroom's shower way too slippery--with no holding bars or rubber matts. Here's a good tip, if you feel like the shower floor or tub is too slippery, throw a hand towel and it'll act as an excellent shower matt with lots of friction. You'd lose a hand towel, of course, but I think it's worth it for some middle-aged people like me who's afraid of falling down while taking a shower. The free breakfast was the same as most hotels these days; very mediocre (i.e., powder eggs, waffles, some bread options, "fruit juice", coffee, etc.). Heck, but it's free, right? There's a Denny's only a mile or two from the hotel if you feel like you need a real breakfast. All in all, the Lux Verde Hotel was just good.
The property was super clean, had large rooms, and decent breakfast. Deborah was super helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again. Just wish pool was indoors so it could be used year round, but wasn’t an issue. Overall, we were very impressed.
If you're exploring the Sedona area, the Lux Verde Hotel is a solid option as your base of operations. The spacious rooms are well appointed and have the things you need after a long day of hiking... a good TV with a ton of channels and a comfy bed with USB ports in easy reach so you don't have to get up and find an outlet so your phone can have enough juice to upload all your pics from that day's gorgeous hike. Also, the in-room mini fridge was a welcome surprise. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are plenty of dining options nearby along with several grocery stories.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked and prepared. We had plenty of towels but would recommend towel bars for drying the used towels on. There was one hook next to the shower. We were only there one night so it wasn’t an issue. Thanks for a nice stay.
The staff were all super friendly. Deborah was an awesome breakfast host.
the location the cenary you can look all around. over all it was good
Easy access to room
This is a decent, not great, property. There is a "main" building for the front desk, lobby, venue center and "restaurant". Quite a ways up are two buildings that house the rooms. We were in the second one. The buildings are motel-style, entrances on the outside on two levels. Rooms were OK, nothing too special. Pool is there - looked fine. Ice Machine is between the two buildings. Breakfast was scant. Decent, not great. Advise to take a room NOT facing the church next door if you're staying on a weekend; the church folks blow the debris away early on Sunday mornings!
Room was spacious and clean
Very nice. Great pool and hot tub. Beautiful setting.
The location was good, out of the traffic, quiet side street to walk. Pet area with bags provided. Large room, clean, comfortable bed. Felt safe travelling alone. Sheets were all flat so bottom one did not reach bottom of bed. Towels were frayed. Walls thin, could hear TV next door and people above but stopped at decent hour.
The room was decent and property was nice. Having a basic breakfast provided was nice. The pool and hot tub was nice although a bit dirty with alot of leaves and debris floating in it. It was very windy while we were there so maybe this was why. I looked for a net to clean it out but there wasnt one available. The room smelled really bad of dirty diapers and there was what appeared to be spit with blood in it running down the wall by the bathroom door. Other than those 2 things the room was clean. I was looking for something a bit more budget friendly which is hard to find anywhere around Sedona and this fit the bill. Overall happy with our stay.
Everything was great. Very clean . Stuff is very helpful. And the price is very reasonable. Would definitely come back
It is nice property and clean, but a bit too pricey though...
Very spacious room, nice place,, pet friendly. Only downside was the pillows were hard. Other than that it was very nice.
Very nice and clean hotel. Great pool for the kids.
The staff was great but the walls are pretty thin. Can hear everything.
The floors in our 1st floor room were so dirty, if you walked around barefoot for 5 minutes, the bottoms of your feet were black! There was also, what appeared to be soda spilled on floor between both beds that was not cleaned. How does this get missed??? When I called the front desk to complain about both and asked if they could clean the floors, I was greeted by staff with towels to clean it myself. I realize this is a 2 store hotel, but DAMN. Get you act together!!
