Stayed for the IM Boulder 70.3 race. This hotel is only 15 minutes away so it was perfect. In addition, there was a grocery store within walking distance so I was able to pick up some healthy supplies. If you wanted to shop there are plenty of options within a 10 minute drive. Location is perfect. Best amenity within the hotel is the gym; it offers free weights and all the aerobic equipment you would need.

It's a historic hotel. Antique furniture and fixtures. A bit dusty, rooms need a real spring cleaning, breakfast is a midnight snack, staff is friendly, location not far from CU. good for a night and I would stay there again just for the rate.

The hotel is what I thought it would be off the pictures. it is dated, but that is what I hoped for and sold it to me. 3 complaints: 1st) breakfast offered (yes), but it was the bare minimum and not very well tended to, 2nd) beds were old & worn down a bit, & 3rd) At times you could really smell cigarette smoke that would filter into the lobby (I am not a smoker and have a hard time when I smell it). With those 3 complaints being stated, not one or all of them together is bad enough to keep me from staying here again if I ever make it back to Boulder. I would recommend this hotel.

My room was in a back hallway. The last night of my stay, I ventured out to meet some friends around 8 pm. When I returned, my computer tablet and bag of favorite jewelry had been stolen right from my bedside table. The hotel refused to reimburse me anything at all. I find it extremely creepy that someone can enter the hotel rooms at night. Don't leave any valuables in your room and deadbolt your door at night! The management explained that the owner had refused to install a security camera at the back entrance for one year. The hotel is just a place to sleep. You will not want to hang out there as the decor is dark, old, and depressing, including the bedspreads.

I was very, very ill when I was trying to check in (an hour early) and they did not allow me to. So my boyfriend and I sat in the car, as I had a fever of 102 degrees. The place was neat beacause of it's age but they need to treat the place with something for people with allergies... On top of being sick, I started having horrible allergic reactions once we stayed in the room. My entire body itched, my nose was uncontrollably runny (in two days I used a box and a half of kleenex) and I sneezed more in one hour of being there than I have in an entire year put together. It was horrible and the staff wasn't overly helpful. They did allow us a late check out which was nice.

You need to appreciate old art and architecture to appreciate this hotel. No, it is not terribly clean. The carpet is worn and stained, and the place looks like it's constantly being repaired. It was great to see much of the original furniture, art and woodwork. It looks like it was quite a decadent place in its day. What was once a ballroom and restaurant has been converted into a fitness center, which guests can use for $5.00

I stayed for one night before a job interview and this place was perfect. Nice place and in a great location!

Hotel is a bit old bit older but charming. Great for one night and near downtown Boulder.

Scary smelly bad security on outer doors and generally stunk of smoke and partying

There are lots of choices when staying in Boulder. This facility distinguishes itself by its convenient location, very friendly and accommodating staff and ita free breakfast. I will definitely stay again on my next visit !

It would have been twice the price anywhere else in Boulder. Room was nice and staff was great . No complaints

I used to work at the Broker restaurant years ago. The restaurants are closed and this has become a residential hotel. The value is good for Boulder, but this is no longer the destination hotel it once was.

We had to remake beds both nights because the mattress pads didn't fit and were wadded up underneath the sheets that also would not stay in place. The pillows were so flat (about 1-2 inches thick) they should not have been placed on their beds for guest to use. The room looked like it hadn't been redecorated since the 70's! Housekeeping left our room unlocked after they cleaned it, luckily nothing was missing. The included breakfast was a big dissapointment, we went somewhere else to eat. Hallway noise very disturbing.

price is right. good, clean place. staff is nice and attentive. breakfast included!

Rooms are clean. Staff is helpful & polite. This is a quaint old hotel. The price is always right.

We've been staying here once a month for the last 7 months while I receive medical treatment. We've never had a compliant until last Thursday night. There seemed to be bugs everywhere. I know this is the time of year when bugs come inside but this was really too much. We will be looking for another place to stay next month.

The rooms are clean. The price was right. Close to everywhere I needed to be. I would stay there again.

The hotel did not have sufficient air conditioning to cool the room. Our first room on the 4th floor was very warm as were the halls. It was evident the ac was not getting up there. We complained and were moved to the 2nd floor. The ac was barely able to cool the 2nd floor room and the ac unit made noise. It appeared that the ac and heating units were the same ones installed when the hotel was built in 1968. My husband and I are on our vacation, we loved the town of Boulder, CO and the hotel was clean and otherwise acceptable. Staff was accommodating and the included breakfast was okay.

Quaint hotel. Warm wood interiors. Friendly staff. Carpeting in the hallway was a bit threadbare, but my room was perfect. Good place.

Wish I had read the reviews before booking! Seems like not having hot water has been an issue for years. The customer service was HORRIBLE! The woman made us feel like it was our fault they had no hot water. She was so rude and dismissive. Such a shame because Boulder is a great place. I would never recommend for anyone to stay here.
