They said the hotel was non smoking, but my room smelled like an ashtray. Also my bathroom window would not close all the way. It is on Broadway, so a bit noisy but located close to the hill.

The room and beds were very clean. It's a motel so the entrance to each room is from the outside. It was close to downtown Boulder and I stayed here so I could walk to the free shuttle bus on weekends to Eldora Mountain for skiing. The only negative for me was that I left my luggage with them when I went skiing and there was no locking it up nor did I get a ticket or anything. You just had to trust them. It worked out fine but would have preferred something a little more "official".

Clean Comfortable Affordable

Great little affordable motel, smack dab in the middle of Boulder. 5 minute walk to Pearl St., 10 minute walk to campus, short drive to Chautauqua or numerous other hiking spots.

While it is conveniently located, there are ZERO amenities. We got exactly one packet of coffee to use in the in-room coffee maker, and had to walk 3 blocks to a coffee shop. The room was OK—no frills—but the bedding was skimpy—it was cold—and the pillows must have been stuffed with rocks.

I had a great stay at this hotel! It is walking distance from CU-Boulder's campus (if you're willing/able to brave the trek up University Hill), as well as from Pearl Street, Boulder's pedestrian shopping & dining area. This hotel is in the old motel-style, and was very neat, clean, and comfortable. The staff I interacted with were very friendly and kind, and I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler. The room I stayed in was a single king bed, and, though not fancy, had everything I needed: a clean, comfortable bed, control over the room temperature, ambient and blackout shades, and lots of space for luggage. My only complaint at all (and I'm not sure if this would generalize to other rooms) is about the shower situation. First, let me affirm that the bathroom was very clean and tidy. I was staying in of the ADA accessible rooms, and the shower was the kind where there was no barrier between the shower floor and the rest of the bathroom, besides a long drain. This would obviously be ideal for anyone using a wheelchair or other mobility aid, but the consequence of this setup is that a good portion of the bathroom floor ended up covered in water. It was not a major problem, and didn't ruin any of my stuff or get into the room, but just something to be aware of. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Boudler!

Good: Great location! Clean. Bad: There was a lot of cleaning cart noise in the morning (especially around 8:30 am to 11 am) that prevented me from sleeping late.

Heater was noisy. Bathroom had no heat. Room too hot bathroom too cold. Shower door slides with difficulty. Hot water tales five minutes to warm up. Telephone inoperative.
