Very modern and clean room with bathroom & shower. Beautifully decorated. The spaces are small but well-appointed. Nothing is missing. I have stayed there twice now and I arrived quite late both nights. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
For some reason, i could not get cold water out of the sink. I made the front desk aware, but nothing got fixed in the 3 nites i stayed there. It was not room temp water.....but actually warm.
Room had a great floor to ceiling window. It was a very small room though. The curtains didn't close completely. There was no closet with a few hooks instead. The only drawers were under the bed. We were unable to get the staff to supply an extra pillow; don't get this one. Some common area lighting was harsh. Great location.
Overall, this hotel was amazing. I gave quite a detailed review prior to this one (on the first day of my stay or so). In a nutshell, other than the bedsheet over the mattress being dirty (which was fixed right away, along with three complimentary breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience), my stay was perfect. Superb amenities (Keurig coffee, Fiji water provided, very clean, very new, lovely architecture, 24 hour new fitness gym w/ hi-tech treadmills), pleasant staff. Right across the street from the Porter red line stop, so ~15 minutes to MIT where I was attending a hackathon. I'm very happy that I picked Hotel 1868 and would definitely stay there again. It's a lovely boutique hotel whose owners and staff seem to care very much about their clientele.
