This hotel is phenomenal! I stayed here for a business trip to the Cambridge area, and it has been a wonderful experience. I travel a lot for business -- hands down, this has been the best hotel staff that I have encountered. (Special shout out to Emile). The hotel is very convenient to business in the Cambridge area, and it is reasonably priced (which is why I booked it from the get-go). And, it has more than exceeded expectations ever since I arrived. First, the hotel is immaculately clean with a very chic, modern decor. The staff is genuine and greets you every single time that you walk through the door. The rooms are extremely comfortable with upscale furnishings. (My colleague and I have been blown away). There is a daily breakfast (complimentary with your stay; wonderful value) and a nightly bar (not complimentary, but essential for a nightcap). I'm very pleased to have found a hotel so close to my biotech clients -- I won't stay anywhere else while I am in the Cambridge area for business.

We needed to stay in the area to participate in a family gathering and avoid driving back and forth from Boston. Not only is the hotel new and clean, it’s quite quiet (save for some hockey kids running in the hallways). We stayed in a little larger room - 404. Worth the extra investment. Rooms are in good shape, comfortable beds, bathrooms modern. Good quick breakfast. Thanks Marriott. Good property.

If you're in Cambridge, you're used to walking, so read this review keeping in mind, I'm if ok walking places. Rideshare is fine and exists, but this is a walking town. Good location for access to most of Cambridge, assuming you're alright walking. It's located on a busy street / intersection, so it can be loud (This is the only reason I didn't give it 4-stars). Easy to get to and from, a few blocks from the river, the universities and a few miles from everything else. Nice breakfast and staff, clean and an updated facility

Price was right, and the location was convenient for access to the TD Garden. Breakfast was as expected, a pretty good selection. However, our room was SO loud. We heard continuous stomping or banging from upstairs, we could hear conversations in the room next to us, doors closing in the hallway and the housekeepers talking loudly among themselves in the halls. Also, we were disappointed to find that some information on the Marriott website was incorrect. The list of local restaurants and their distances was misleading- some were much further away than advertised. Also, the bar menu on the website included desserts...we came home from dinner with a plan to have dessert in our room. When my husband went downstairs to order, he was informed they have a totally different (and smaller) menu with no desserts. He was told that there was “a Shell station down the road”. The bartender said the current menu has been the same for atleast a year so they are clearly not keeping the website up to date...not the end of the world but definitely disappointing as we were looking forward to some chocolate lava cake with ice cream! I might consider staying here again if the price was really good, but would probably choose one of the other hotels in the same area.

In addition to the road noise I can also hear my neighbor coughing and snoring. Poorly built if I can pick up that kind of noise with fan on, sound machine and ear plugs. When I raised it at 10 at night after trying to fall asleep The front desk offered ear plugs (I already have some in) and points. And they could move me but not until tomorrow. No sleep tonight. Won’t stay here again. Ever

This is a nice hotel situated in Cambridge not very far from downtown Boston. The rooms are well Maintained and the Shower is also very good. Overall a very cozy hotel with well mannered staff at the counter. The breakfast was also very good and the hotel being on the highway was very easily accessible

I stayed in this hotel on my own in November 2018. The location is fair - very close to the nearest metro station just one block away (green line) - although it is by no means close to Boston center (the hotel is in Cambridge indeed). I decided to take long walks instead, and on average it took me 30-35 mins to get to Boston center on foot. Pretty close to the MIT (15 mins on foot). That said, the hotel appears and actually is very nice. Tidy and clean as anyone would expect, rooms are spacious and well furnished. Beds were comfy in my opinion and even though my room faced the street below, I did not hear anything at all. I particularly appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which was large enough. Staff was friendly and ready to help. I had a really pleasant stay. At last, quality to price ratio was very good in my opinion. Highly recommended overall.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites at Boston Cambridge is well located close to MIT and a short train ride to the centre of Boston. There is a supermarket next door and restaurants within walking distance, while the hotel also does serve meals.

The hotel was very nice, well located because there is a T station just 5 minutes walking from the hotel and it takes you to the city center in 15 minutes. Also, there is a shopping mall 10 minutes walking. The rooms aren't too big, but have everything you need, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is nice and clean. Minibar and microwave. Closet is tiny. Breakfast is good, and the ladies are very helpful. The hotel does not have restaurant, but they do have a bar. Front desk staff, some of them very friendly and helpful, some others not that much. Lack of communication, they charged us the room twice, and we had to complain a few times before it was refunded. Aside from that, all good.

A perfect stay at a clean hotel! Upon checking in, Laura helped answer every question we had. She helped us with parking, transportation and even recommendations for entertainment. The room was very clean and provided everything we needed. The train station is located only 2 blocks away. I can't say enough great things about Laura at the front desk. We stayed for 3 nights and she was there to help us for every question we had. We were visiting MIT and will be back for sure!
