I appreciated the great bed mattress, soft, supportive desk chair, the ability to control the room temperature and the fan speed, the deep sink in the bathroom (great for washing items), the bright lighting, and the free coffee and tea. You might call this a “no frills” hotel, which I suspect is what makes it so affordable. No restaurant or exercise room, no in room coffee or ironing board. That said, my room was clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the morning coffee good and hot (though I had to go to the lobby to get some). For one or two nights, and given it’s close proximity to Harvard Square, lots of nearby restaurants and the Charles River, it’s relatively low price is a real bargain.
