Stayed here several times and it is perfect. The staff is very nice and helpful and the establishment is clean
Very nice, very quiet, clean. easy parking, some snacks for Breakfast. I couldn't sign to the Internet with my phone. I didn't ask for help as it was not that important. Breakfast was a roll and coffee as I remember. But plenty of places to eat right down the street. Good place in the middle of nowhere.
The place was very nice. But when we checked out and asked the clerk about signing up for your rewards program he was not at all helpful. Acted like he knew nothing about it.
checked in found room not clean found dirty towel hanging on shower curtain, dirty big towel. dirty floor, my wife cleans for a living so she went to front desk and got clean towels and clean sheet for bed it they did not clean room that good probably did not change sheets on bed . so we changed bed sheets before sleeping on the bed,
We spent the evening en route to Ohio from MN...found this hotel in a quaint small city, making it easily accessible to come and go; friendly atmosphere with cafe-like b'fast area. What else could you want for an overnight stay?!
Management at this Day's Inn is very good. Good people working hard. I esp like the hard flooring -- not an odor funk sponge like the carpets in most motels. Absolutely NO smoke odor in my non-smoking room. Access to motel at night is a bit tricky -- extremely bright parking lot lights are blinding -- easy to make a wrong turn in adjacent gravel parking with many pot holes. "Problem mentioned below which I did not report was the blinding light in the parking lot.
Was not happy with the comadatons of the room. Went to open the window up screen was loose from the fram. Look like some tried to break in. The transition strip from the laminate room floor to the tile bathroom floor is not secured and slid off the tile exposing sharp cut tile edge the first use of this room. The security strike plate on the rear building entrance door is in serious disrepair. The bottom screw is either stripped or broken making key card entry difficult and at one point impossible. Thoughts of unauthorised persons gaining entry accompanied our thoughts to bed. The only grab bar on the middle lower part of the tub shower wall is missing. Advising my partially handicapped wife of this before her shower was distressing. On a lighter note when trying to purchase a soda from the vending machine you provide it was out of my choice. Coke. When we arrived there was only 2 cars in the parking lot. Place was dead. I would think an opportune time to restock the vending machine rather than sit behind the front desk playing on a phone which must have been too much to walk away from as it was also plugged in to recharge. This morning when I made hot water in our room for tea I was appalled to get a brown cup of water full of grounds. The third cup still tainted with grounds in it. I gave up on tea. Our son and daughter in law, our guest's for this trip in adjoining room 115 also had issues with their room. Egg on mom and dad's face. As a truck driver in my travels I have spent many nights in your chain and have never experienced the property neglect us 4 did on this weekend get away. Either appease us 4 or displease us again. Please advise. Thank you. Julia George Fiore and family. P.S. the grass needs cutting big time and you have way too much milk, water bottles, MacDonald garbage etc blowing around the parking lot.
Felt like I was ripped off I stayed at this hotel 2 times in 3 days and the price jumped from Sunday at $73 and some change to Tuesday to $101 and some change the only thing they could tell me is they was farmer in town and they don't have many rooms left . That would be what a lot of people like me would call price gouging and is against the law in most states. I really liked this hotel and stayed there a lot over the years but it will be hard for me to stay here again after feeling like they take advantage of people by jacking up the prices like they did on me. Don't get me wrong I stay at days inn in a lot of different states and they keep my price the same year round or a small increase but never $30 like this one did.
Motel was very clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Good location that was easy to get to. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had enough variety of items offered. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. Housekeeping also did a fantastic job!
I was disappointed that the breakfast did not start until 7am. I was traveling and had to be on the road earlier. So no free breakfast for myself and my children.
