Do not stay!! It needs to be condemned. Furnishings are old, the chair at the desk had a giant tear in it, there were over 25 ants on top of the bed! I reported it and they changed rooms and there were more ants in that bathroom! I don't mind simple and clean but this was awful.

Room smelled horrible, mold on the baseboard near A/C unit. Bed very uncomfortable. Carpet dirty.

Staff was rude and slow. The nicest, most helpful people there were the other guests (and maybe the blue haired receptionist). Shower head was so low it would hit us on the head. Water was scalding hot (though this probably better than cold water), meh pressure. The breakfast was an extra $7, the waitstaff was extra rude, and the food was poor quality. We just came from two other hotels where the food and service was much better and came at no additional cost. The cleaning crew was also rude, and left us without towels for several hours until we asked for the third time for them. Even the "roach motel" we recently had to stay in had better customer service.

Reserved 2 rooms. Someone had already checked into one of our rooms but they tried to give it to us anyway. Hotel was hot and musty. Checked into two very hot rooms. Turned on A/C and went to dinner. Police were on site when we arrived and when we came back. A/C didn't work in either room. Told front desk and manager came out and canceled reservation without any paper work. Tried to get cancellation paper work but manager left and couldn't be found. When we left there was a large group of guests with complaints in the lobby. One guest's toilet had been leaking on to floor all day. Staff said many non-guests were using hotel pool. Later when I tried to get a refund, manager lied and said we were a no show. We were happy with how Orbitz handled it after 1 hour on the phone.

This should not be called a Ramada. It's clean but they problems. You must pay for breakfast. We put eggs on our plates & they were green from sitting in the aluminum pan for hours. The pool was green. Ladies of the night checked in late at night. Try a different hotel.

Nice hotel great customer service I enjoyed myself

Decided to take a trip to Birmingham after getting off the cruise in Mobile. Hated it here. The room was old and carpet was stained. The chair at the desk was all busted up and missing a wheel. Upon calling the front desk to get a new one so my card wouldn't be charged for someone else damages, I was never given a new one. I was later called back and told I could move to another room. After a day of traveling and already unpacking, I did not feel like packing everything up to move to another room. The microwave was not plugged in. I found this out when trying to heat up some food. Had to move the microwave to a different location just to use. Could not make coffee as the socket was all cracked up. When calling the front desk, I was asked questions like, "Are you checking out today and what did you do with the towels already in the room," before the front desk decided to send someone up to exchanged the used ones for clean ones. The side doors were never working with the room card so we had to walk to the main entrance every single time to get back in the hotel.

Clean and safe. The lobby was homey and welcoming.

Although the furniture is very dated the towels, sheets and bedspread were new. The room had working microwave and small fridge. PLUS, it was very clean. Add on it is right next to the airport and on ramp to the 20/65 highway it is a good choice for an inexpensive but clean place while on the road.

Weather conditions awful - snow /ice which caused the hotel to become full, staff was excellent at trying to accommodate everyone and had positive attitudes. Hotel itself could use updating and the restaurant is understaffed / not stocked well for food or drinks. My room had a empty water bottle under the couch from a previous guest. Leaving on a 6am flight - the shuttle drive was very kind and even with the icy roads was able to get me to the airport for my flight.

Not working: Elevators Refrigerators Keys to room Side entry to hotel Smell of hotel nasty Floors were sticky Staff was very hard to identify The sheets were to thin to use as bedding Towels weren't available Only 1 flatbed available for taking bags to car Cleaniness Air conditioning did not work in the main conference for more thN 3 days

The hotel have two elevators, one never worked and the other only worked part of the time.

Hotel room phone was not working but had a friendly staff that did resolve the problem. Wait on checking in was thirty minutes.

It is not a 5 star hotel but for the price it was a good value

Not a terrible hotel but not the best, but you do get what you pay for. Decent price and is located real close to the airport and other convenient places so that was good. Was a last minute decision to stay in the area so I didn't mind the condition too much. The room was clean but some sockets were open (had no cover) and hard to reach. On a good note, the service from the staff was great, best thing about the hotel really.

It was OK for what I paid. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Maybe a little overpriced for the area. I think this newly remodeled or recently has new ownership. The check in process was kinda messy. I think they were having computer issues and many people were given rooms that were already assigned. This happened to us, the people in our assigned room had been there for a week, the manager quickly remedied the issue and gave us a new room. Unfortunately, the housekeeper forgot to check the toilet paper supplies because there was none. Overall, the room was clean and the problems we did have were small inconveniences that didn't seem to be ongoing problems.

I would recommend this hotel. The stay was nice. The staff was excellent. Price is very good. Clean place to stay.
