The St. Regis Beijing

Walking into the St Regis is very awe inspiring, with inviting fragrant smells and a large open grande foyer. The front desk staff are very friendly, with excellent english. The concierge are super helpful. As it can be challenging to book trips online, the concierge were fabulous with assisting us booking hotels and flights to our next locations in China. The pool area and gym are lovely. My only criticism (who the very lovely hotel manager already addressed) is that the rooms need updating (which they will next year) - feels like a time warp from the front area to the rooms. Other than that fabulous!

We stayed at the St Regis in Beijing for 6 nights in October. It is a wonderful hotel which is in a central location and with really good facilities. The service from the staff was excellent. They have excellent pool and spa facilities where we spent a few hours relaxing after our sightseeing everyday. The rooms are also well-maintained. Loved the Toto toilets! I want to single out 2 members of staff that made our stay extremely special and memorable - Simon Li ( Director of Rooms) and Joey ( our waiter during breakfast). When there was a mix-up in our rooms, Simon managed to help us and sorted out the issue. If it weren’t for him, I think our stay in Beijing and the St Regis would have been completely different. As for Joey, he anticipated all our needs, gave us prompt service and really looked after us during our stay there. A huge thanks to both of them!

I stayed here twice during my errands through China and North Korea and both my stays have been excellent. I have been warmly welcomed by the staff at the reception and they were quite informative on all the services and extra I could enjoy as a Star Preferred Gold Member. Upgrade to a larger room was immediately provided and butler service (which I had to call numerous times) was always available and devoted to helping me out with whatever request I had. The SPA was wonderful and so was breakfast; great choice and wonderful presentation. Rooms were large and clean. It has been a very comfortable stay.

The St Regis is a very luxurious hotel. The concierge desk was very helpful arranging tours and getting directions. The pool and sauna area was very nice. Gym was well equipped. Located around a bunch of embassies there weren't too many close options for dining so ate at the restaurant in hotel once which was very nice but expensive.

The Hotel is beautiful but you can definitely tell it has some age on it. The breakfast buffet is good in the morning and they have numerous choices. The rooms are larger and have updated technology for you. The carpets shed a lot so be prepared to have to use a lint roller often.

I love the St Regis in Beijing and here's why - the quality and lay-out of the hotel, and the location. There are other newer luxury hotels nearby, but for what they gain in their newness they lose in comfort and lay-out. The St Regis's large breakfast area is just off the lobby and serves a breakfast that serves every palate (I love it all). It has a beautiful view of the courtyard and kept us feasting for over an hour every morning. Equally convenient is the Press Club Bar, which serves free wine, beer, and snacks in the early evening and is a wonderful last-stop for a cocktail before turning-in at night. The staff and personal butler service along with the super comfortable rooms is the perfect mix of luxury and desirable home comforts. Outside the hotel, it is a 5 minute walk to the MRT where for less than $1 USD you can ride anywhere in its vast network ($0.33 USD per ride on one line). And should you bypass the large hotel fitness center with free yoga and other fitness classes, it is a 10 min walk to Ritan park where you can walk, run, or just sit and take in the active local culture. Inside the hotel are quality Italian, Japanese, and Chinese restaurants, but if you prefer to wander, there are many restaurants a walk away (find out where before you leave the hotel as many are tucked away from sight). I can't say enough about the St Regis hotel and and city of Beijing - a must see destination and a great launching point to other China cities.

Everything about this hotel is just about perfect. Breakfast has a huge choice and it's all really good, the Japanese restaurant on site (not part of the hotel) is amazing, the bedroom was lovely with a superb bed and bathroom. Even the wifi is decent, although behind the Chinese state firewall of course. I got an upgraded room with butler service (!) although I didn't need that. Room service was fast and good value. Even the desk drawer was stocked with paper clips, elastic bands etc. Just great. If I was being mega picky I'd say that the light switches are ridiculously complicated, and the fire detector has a red flashing light which didn't help my sleep, but the time zone change was more likely responsible for that. I would go back in a heartbeat. And I don't say that EVER.

Superb and seamless experience. 2nd time returning. Perfect as usual. Amazing st regis star: Neil Wang from concierge and Alice from the all day dining! We were all well taken care of with the stregis standards. Came here for business the last time. Its a hotel suitable for family or business!

Had a one night stay over the weekend on the 21st Oct and stayed in room 1127. Check in was seamless and room was near perfect. The team even had a very delicious birthday cake sent to my room to help me celebrate my birthday. The Chief Concierge, Mr Zhao was gracious to make sure i was well taken cared of and i was pampered indeed. Breakfast was a superb spread and wait staffs were professional. The star of my stay was definitely the concierge, Mr Steven Zhang. He was a very patient and collected man. Very knowledgeable of the area we wanted to visit and gave us more tips than we can find in search engine. Thank you St Regis Beijing and Thank you very much, Mr Steven Zhang.

I know that there are newer hotels in Beijing but decided to stay here because of the incredible deal I got through American Express. So happy we did!! We got an unbelievable deal and stayed in wonderful St Regis suites. Included was an amazing breakfast buffet with many made to order chef stations. Butler service was awesome! Also the complimentary 5-7 open bar and buffet was fab after our long days of sightseeing. Also a trip to the spa is a must- natural hot springs under the hotel are piped into spa pools. Could not have asked for more. Only thing- cabs were not always easy to get at the hotel. I don't know if that it is because it is on a side street or because of the week we were there. If you need to be somewhere at a certain time, be sure to have your butler order a car for you.
